Quoted from dotr's post above:

That security video shows a man walking into Magnotta's apartment on May 18, 2012, and leaving the next day, with Magnotta holding his arm to help him down the stairs

If this person needed help walking, how do we know Magnotta didn't drug him and perhaps that drugging led to his death?

The fact that they haven't been able to track him down at all sure doesn't sit right with me.
Warning: The following story contains graphic language and details.

"MONTREAL — Luka Magnotta brought home a dark-haired man less than one week before he killed Jun Lin in his bachelor apartment in May 2012, a court in Montreal heard Monday.

Despite an exhaustive search, Montreal police have not been able to identify him, investigator Claudette Hamlin told the court during the fifth day of Magnotta’s murder tria

Hamlin showed the court surveillance footage of the mystery man entering the apartment building at 5720 Decarie Blvd. on the night of May 19, 2012, walking in behind Magnotta. The next time the surveillance cameras showed Magnotta, it was 4:30 a.m. the following morning, when he threw something out in the basement garbage bins."

"That person, who has not been identified by investigators, appears in the first 53 seconds of the so-called murder video the jury has not yet seen."
If this person needed help walking, how do we know Magnotta didn't drug him and perhaps that drugging led to his death?

Did he walk in normally, but then needed help the next day? He may be fine but didn't come forward because he has a wife who doesn't know he's having gay affairs.
Is there any evidence that JL was drugged by LM? Or has that information not been released yet? The defence seem to be trying to show that JL was into bondage, so if LM was able to tie him up with his consent then there would be no need to drug him, he could have just tied him up and then killed him.
Seems like LM really knew what he was doing, interesting that the guy did not pick up any ' murderer vibes" from LM imo..

"F R says he met Magnotta on a chat website called GayRomeo while looking for a roommate.

He testified through a translator on Wednesday that Magnotta showed up at the Berlin bus station from Paris with no luggage, a few thousand Euro and said he was looking for a fresh start after a breakup.

R says they spent much of their time together shopping, eating and drinking but did not have sex. They communicated over the four days using Google Translate as neither spoke the other’s language.

R told the jury he snapped some photos of Magnotta at his request as the latter wanted to begin working as an escort in Berlin"
Magnotta, who had no reaction to Friday's ruling, was nearly unrecognizable in the glass-enclosed prisoner's box.

He's about 50 lbs. heavier than when he was arrested in June 2012.

He wore a long-sleeved blue shirt with a grey sweater tied around his neck. His jawline and neck are much fuller and he sports a moustache and goatee.

Not so hot now, are you?

Well, in prison - given the charges against him and his NCR claim, there is no way of NOT taking the (probably heavy and diverse) range of medications prescribed for him. He simply has to, if his claims are to convince anyone at all. Several medications against schizophrenia and almost all antipsychotic ones have considerable weight gain as a very common side effect. That fact is easy to Google, and he will surely have done that as soon as he even got a prescription.

Given his extreme narcissism and desire to appear as attractive as at all possible in the years prior to this, no way has he ever followed any prescription plans given to him, be it court ordered or otherwise. He would gain weight. End of income as a prostitute, end of new endless selfies, end of his self-invented stardom. Not an option!
He has effectively not only committed a brutal crime, he has also effectively killed off any chance of ever having the build and looks again he used to love so much.

Probably the worst punishment in his eyes.
"The Rouge Valley medical centre psychiatrist wrote in May 2005 that Magnotta had been suffering from paranoid schizophrenia for the previous five years. He was on three anti-psychotic medications — Seroquel, Risperdal and Cogentin — plus the sedative Nitrazepan and anti-anxiety medication Ativan.
“As long as Mr. Newman continues to take the medications regularly, and attends the outpatient department as advised, the prognosis is fair,” the letter reads. “But if he does not comply in taking the medication, he would be prone to relapse of his symptoms, which include paranoia, auditory hallucinations, fear of the unknown, etc.” "

MONTREAL -- Relatives of a former prime minister and a notorious killer testified at Luka Rocco Magnotta's murder trial Friday after their names and return addresses were listed on packages sent by the accused.

Neither Hubert Chretien nor Logan Valentini knew Magnotta but they were called to testify because the packages he sent to Vancouver schools in May 2012 contained body parts of his victim, Jun Lin.

Valentini, whose sister Karla Homolka was sentenced to 12 years in prison for manslaughter in a high-profile murder case involving herself and Paul Bernardo in the 1990s, told jurors she didn't mail any such box to False Creek Elementary."
Wonder if LM knew that KH had moved back to Quebec, and was he hoping to get her attention, or mess her up?

" Valentini, who changed her name from Lori Homolka in 1996, said via video link from Kitchener, Ont., she was blown away when police called her in 2012.

They wouldn't give her specifics but she used the Internet to figure out the case in question.

"I was kind of stunned, I didn't know why I would be dragged into something again that had nothing to do with me," she told the court.

The jury heard that Karla Homolka is living in Quebec with her spouse. Valentini said she'd seen her sister recently"

" Magnotta's father says he met his son's mother when she was 16 and he was 17. She soon became pregnant with Magnotta, whom they decided to name Eric Clinton Kirk Newman. The "Clinton" was for actor Clint Eastwood, while the Kirk was for Kirk Douglas. They had another son 10 months later and then a daughter.

Magnotta was home-schooled for several years and had no contact with children his age, his father said. It wasn't until after the couple divorced and the children went to live with their mother's mother that he started attending school. He testified that was when Magnotta was in Grade 6 or 7 and said his son was mistreated by other kids.

The father told the court that when they were still together, his wife was controlling of the children and was also a germaphobe. He didn't think she was doing a good job teaching the children and he said the family was isolated in the small town of Bethany, Ont., near Peterborough, where they lived."

"Magnotta described his mother as a woman obsessed with cleanliness, often wearing a surgical mask, rubber gloves and repeatedly washing her children’s hands.

She home-schooled them and would at times lock her children out of the house or car, and put their pet rabbits outside in the winter to freeze to death, Magnotta told Watts.

Magnotta said he felt his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Yourkin, was the person who actually raised him. She would often dress him in her clothes and slept with him when he was younger, he told the psychiatrist during one of their sessions after his arrest.

He liked playing with Barbies, and felt like he wanted to be a girl.

Once, he says his grandmother told him: “You hold a glass like a f----t.”

Awkward, shy, withdrawn and plagued with acne, a young Eric was often picked on by his younger brother, Conrad, who also called him “f----t,” his sister, Melissa, told Watts."
Speculation, moo.ect.

Could it be possible that the two ' friends" actually did exist, but he murdered them? jmo
Could LM have multiple personalities, ie "Rebecca", his female side, for whom he looks after her/ his "snake" and "Manny", literally, his "man" side?

"Magnotta trial hears doctor unable to find accused's friends

" One of the people Magnotta described to Watts was a woman named Rebecca for whom he housed a python that was central to an infamous online video that showed a cat getting killed.

The second person he frequently talked about was an American called Manny, who Magnotta says allegedly treated him violently after they met in 2010.

In the version of Lin's slaying Magnotta gave to Watts, Manny suggested to the accused that Lin was a government agent sent to kill him."

"MONTREAL — The Crown, which says Luka Magnotta is acting crazy to avoid prison, also accuses him of throwing his medication into his jailhouse toilet.

The allegation, made in October, was covered by a publication ban lifted Monday when jurors began deliberations.

Magnotta says he's schizophrenic and was out of touch with reality when he killed and dismembered Chinese student Jun Lin in his dingy Montreal apartment on May 25, 2012.

The Crown maintained throughout the three-month trial that the former *advertiser censored* actor from Toronto is using his skills to fool psychiatrists."

"OTTAWA - Luka Rocco Magnotta, the convicted killer whose grisly crimes made headlines around the world, is looking for a "prince charming" on a matchmaking website for prisoners.

Magnotta's profile was posted Sunday on Canadian Inmates Connect Inc., a website that tries to hook up lonesome convicts -- some behind bars for violent offences like first-degree murder -- with potential companions on the outside."
How is this permitted? He should have absolutely no internet privileges. Where did he get his old pictures from? This is beyond disgusting.
Our prison system is a joke if this is allowed.

As I understand that site, the inmates have a 3rd party set up an account for them or they mail in an application so no, they don't have internet privileges themselves. It costs around $50 I think to have their profiles posted. So he still has at least one "friend" that would have helped him with the account and the pictures, or maybe his lawyer... I bet he will get lots of letters, he apparently already gets lots of "fan" mail.
Lol. He even says only "serious inquiries, all other will be discarded."

Luka is looking for love lol. Too bad.
