Baby Gabriel Babysitter’s Body Language Shows No Signals of Deception and Gives Insight To What Possibly Happened to the Baby
Friday, January 22nd, 2010 at 7:34 am
<snipped>
NOTHING WRONG WITH AN 18 YEAR OLD BABYSITTING AT A HOTEL

babay-gabrie-babysitter1.png

First of all the babysitter, Analisa Urias is 18, which is legal age in the state of Texas. There is nothing wrong with the babysitter looking on Craigslist to find a babysitting job. There is also nothing wrong with going to a hotel or a motel to babysit, especially if it is in the daytime at 11:45 AM, as the babysitter said. In fact, top hotels often hire outside babysitters to accommodate their guests.

The fact that Elizabeth Johnson even thought to hire a babysitter is a good sign that deep down she wanted the baby alive and she wanted to make sure the baby was OK. She could have very well left the baby alone in the motel room and put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but instead, she hired a babysitter.

ANALISA’S BODY LANGUAGE

baby-gabriel-babysitter-21.png

On every show, she was cooperative, open, forthright, made direct eye contact, spoke directly in a sonorous tone and most important of all showed NO SIGNALS OF DECEPTION. She showed no signals that she had any other agenda than to babysit the child.

The information which she gave to the press was very important.

ELIZABETH’S IMPORTANT MEETING, WEARING A HOT OUTFIT AND RETURNING 2 HOURS LATER

baby-gabriel-eliz-hot1.png

1. Analisa was told by Elizabeth that she was going to a very important meeting. Maybe that important meeting was for paid sex. The fact that she returned two hours later, happy and smiling, says to me that she was happy and satisfied. Maybe her important meeting even supplied her with drugs that put her in a happy mood.

DETACHED FROM THE BABY

baby-gabriel-paci.png

2. Analisa said Elizabeth was detached from the baby. This means Elizabeth had other things on her mind, like partying in her hot looking outfit or earning some money, or scoring some drugs.

She was obviously preoccupied. Her room was a mess with everything thrown around which also leads me to believe that she didn’t utilize the maid service as she no doubt didn’t want anyone coming into her room.

Maybe she had something to hide like drugs or the fact that she had a kidnapped baby in her possession.

DID TOO MUCH MEDICATION ACCIDENTLY KILL BABY GABRIEL?

t.gif

3. The fact that Elizabeth’s room was a mess, the baby seemed not fed and only smiled when he got the bottle which he drank voraciously, obviously meant that Elizabeth was being negligent with the child.

If he wasn’t ill, maybe Elizabeth gave him medication to make him stop crying and to sleep so she wouldn’t be bothered by him. Maybe she gave him too much medicine and accidently killed him.

Maybe that is when she called the baby daddy to tell him what she did. Maybe she was telling the truth and did indeed kill the baby. Maybe in her warped thinking she thought that the baby wouldn’t have died, if Logan didn’t have custody and she wasn’t in this predicament. So in essence her call to him may have been an admission that the child was dead and that it in her mind it was his fault that all of this happened. She would never take responsibility as to what happened, but rather shift the blame that it happened because of Logan, the baby daddy.

WAS SHARP KNIFE INDICATION OF HER PARANOIA AND FEAR OF BEING FOUND OUT?

4. The sharp knife sitting in the room may have been used for her protection. Maybe she was paranoid from all the drugs she may have been taking.

Maybe she thought someone would break into her room in the middle of the night. Maybe she thought the baby daddy would find her and that she would use the knife to ward him off.

WHO ARGUED WITH ELIZABETH OVER THE PHONE? WAS IT TAMMI SMITH?

tammi-latets-intervie-looking-awy-from-camera-and3.png

5. The clue which Analisa revealed that means the most to me is that when she arrived back at the motel two hours later and received a phone call from someone (a woman’s voice) speaking loud enough for Analisa to hear.
Johnson told her it was her grandmother and explained her husband was threatening her family because of a custody battle.

When authorities questioned Elizabeth’s grandmother, she told them that she did not speak to Elizabeth. Sooooooo, I wonder if that screaming and yelling on the other end of the phone was person of interest, Tammi Smith.

Maybe she was yelling at Analisa to not screw up any plans they may have possibly made.

TOO MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT A CAR SEAT AND LEAVING IT BEHIND

6. The hotel staff said that Johnson booked the room for a week so she was there from the 21st of December and the baby was alive on the 26th making it 5 days. She left behind a car seat and clothes, which make me believe that she left in a hurry.

There was no couple and no car seat in my view. The only car seat was the one she left behind that Gabriel could no longer use, because he was not alive to use it.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS or MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA- WHERE WAS GABRIEL’S BODY DUMPED?

miami-beach.gif

7. After hearing Analisa’s interviews I have a new perspective on the case. I wonder if the baby was given medication to shut him up so Elizabeth didn’t have to deal with him and his crying.

Perhaps she gave him too much medication and Baby Gabriel never woke up.

Perhaps she disposed of his little body in San Antonio. She may have even also put Baby Gabriel’s body in a bag or suitcase and taken it on the bus with her to Miami Beach where she may have gotten rid of him in the vast ocean.

WAS TAMMI SMITH PLANNING TO HAVE ELIZABETH DROP GABRIEL WITH ONE OF HER OTHER RELATIVES FOR SAFE KEEPING UNTIL HIS LOOKS CHANGED ?

smith-tammi-too-confident-walm1.png

Maybe it wasn’t Elizabeth’s intention to kill Baby Gabriel. Maybe it was her intention to give him to someone for safe keeping until he got older and his looks changed.

The fact that Tammi Smith brought this up after visiting Elizabeth in the jail, concerns me. Since she already tried to concoct something with her first cousin Craig Cherry being the father of baby Gabriel when he in fact never even met Elizabeth, anything is possible.

Perhaps there was a relative of Tammi’s in San Antonio who agreed to do this. The fact that Tammi nonchalantly in her monotone loud confident voice told reporters that Elizabeth said the people who have the baby “are going to try to hide the baby” said that his looks will change as he gets older.

Tammi’s statement is cause for concern. This sounds like a concocted story. Why would anyone even think to say this? If Elizabeth gave the baby to someone they wouldn’t say that they were going to hide the baby until his looks changed. That is preposterous!

Also who in their right mind would want to knowingly get involved in any illegal action with a baby and ruin their lives and freedom and face kidnaping charges down the road?

Also the fact that Tammi mentioned to the press that Elizabeth said that she and the couple to whom she gave the baby” signed papers but it was not notarized,” is also a signal of deception to me. It is way too much information.

Who talks about notarizing papers when they are giving away a baby and when they have lost custody of the baby and have kidnapped the baby and are on the run? It is ridiculous!

THE GRIM REALITY OF WHAT PROBABLY HAPPENED TO BABY GABRIEL

The fact that Elizabeth is uncooperative and won’t meet with a sketch artist to recreate the physical characteristics of the “alleged” couple to whom she gave Baby Gabriel leads me to believe the poor baby is dead and has died at her hands, most likely through an overdose of medication

I am not the only one who thinks this way. Criminal Profiler Pat Brown seems to think that Baby Gabriel is dead as well. I hope we are both wrong, s.unfortunately I believe we are both right in our thoughts.

Arrest in Case of Missing "Baby Gabriel"
Woman Who, with Husband, Sought to Adopt Him, Is Taken into Custody; Cops: She Probably Doesn't Know Where Infant Is
TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 3, 2010
<snipped>
Tammi Smith, 37, was interviewed at Tempe police headquarters and later booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges of custodial interference, conspiracy to commit custodial interference and forgery.

Lt. Mike Horn said the charges stem from Smith's repeated and apparently desperate attempts to adopt 8-month-old Gabriel Johnson, not from the boy's Dec. 26 disappearance in San Antonio, Texas.

"The only thing I can surmise here is that the authorities think she knows something that she hasn't told them," Tammi Smith's lawyer, Michael Kimerer, told reporters.

In a Tuesday court document detailing the charges against Tammi Smith, police describe for the first time the lengths to which she went to adopt Gabriel.

Before Johnson left Arizona with Gabriel, those efforts included repeated phone calls and text messages to his father, Logan McQueary, pressuring him to relinquish his parental rights to the Smiths, according to the probable-cause statement.

Woman arrested in baby Gabriel case out of jail
February 3rd, 2010 @ 5:17am
<snipped>
Tammy Smith's husband Jack picked her up at 4th Avenue Jail on Wednesday morning. Her attorney was not present.

Police do not believe that she knows where the missing boy may be. She was charged with custodial interference and forgery. "It doesn't mean those charges are gonna stick. It doesn't mean those charges are true. But nevertheless, they were able to do that 'cause they're the guys with the guns," says Tammy Smith.

"You know, those are charges that Tempe Police Department is trying to create a case." And she says looking back she wouldn't have become involved with the missing boy's mom, Elizabeth Johnson.

"I felt like she was being completely taken advantage of by the father and the grandfather."

When asked if she knows where the missing boy is, she says "absolutely not."

<snipped>
Less than 24 hours after Tempe police arrested her in connection with the disappearance of Baby Gabriel, Tammi Smith walked out of jail, continuing to maintain her innocence.

"She [Elizabeth Johnson] refused to put his [Logan McQueary's] name down because of the fact ... I can't say why," Smith said after her release from jail early Wednesday morning. "I'm not going to say why on TV, but the courts will know why when I go to court."

Smith, who posted $15,000 bond, said Johnson was going to list a fake name.

"I didn't want her to put a fake name. It's not right to do that, to hurt somebody else's family. In the process, I ended up hurting my family and myself because I didn't want her to make up a phony name have have somebody get a knock at their door one day."

While Smith says police arrested her so they could interrogate her in an effort to get more information, investigators said that's not the case.

The couple vows to continue looking for the baby.

"Yes, I love this baby. I will look for this baby until he is found," Smith said outside Fourth Avenue Jail. "I will look for this baby the rest of my life until he's found. Even though it means bringing him back to Logan. Oh well. I'm still going to look for this baby."

Dad Embarks On Search For Baby Gabriel
Logan McQueary Plans To Retrace Elizabeth Johnson's Path Between Tempe, San Antonio

Using tips from the Internet and even psychics, the family plotted points on a map where they thought Johnson might have stopped, including the Mountain View Motel in Tucson.

"We got several tips … talking about a Mountain View or Mountain Inn Hotel," McQueary said. "This is the only one we could find and track down. We decided … it's worth checking out along the way."

The motel led to a women's shelter, then to a bowling alley, then to another women's shelter.

On Wednesday, McQueary planned to meet with a private investigator who offered to look into the case for free before the family headed to San Antonio, where the search is now centered.

Smiths react to Tammi's arrest after being released from jail

While Smith says police arrested her so they could interrogate her in an effort to get more information, investigators said that's not the case.

"We've been building this case and we've been working with several agencies, including the County Attorney that's going to be prosecuting this case later on down the road," said Sgt. Steven Carbajal of the Tempe Police Department. "We feel that we obviously had probable cause for the arrest. All the information we had led us to this arrest."

Police have considered Smith and her husband persons of interest in the case for a couple of weeks. "Jack Smith is no longer a person of interest," Carbajal said. "Tammi Smith was arrested for the [above charges]... . Unless there's some new information we're unaware of, nothing will change on that front."

Investigators do not think the Smiths know where Gabriel is. The couple vow to continue looking for the baby.

UPDATED: Gabriel Johnson's Father Fires Back, Hires Private Investigator
Logan McQueary Continues His Cross-Country Search For His Missing Boy
POSTED: 9:25 pm MST February 3, 2010
UPDATED: 2:26 pm MST February 4, 2010

On Wednesday, McQueary said he has grown tired of Tammi Smith and her attempts to play the victim.

At times, Smith blamed her troubles on Elizabeth Johnson, the woman police say she plotted with to steal Gabriel away from his father. Other times, She's blamed Tempe Police, Elizabeth's Grandfather Bob Johnson, and now fresh out of jail, she's focused her ire at the father of the missing boy.

Smith is accused of trying to rip custody of Gabriel away from Logan. And now, while he's on the road searching for his boy, Smith questions why it took him so long.

As soon as he got the go ahead, McQueary left for San Antonio, the last place Gabriel was spotted. He still thinks Tammi Smith knows more than she is saying, but wishes she would talk to fewer cameras and more to the police.

“She can say anything she wants, I don’t care, I don’t care about her. I think she’s making a fool of herself,” said McQueary.

McQueary actually spent most of Wednesday meeting with private investigator Jay J. Armes. Armes has agreed to take on the case free of charge. McQueary will meet with him again on Thursday morning before hitting the road again. He plans to meet with San Antonio investigators on Friday.

Search for baby Gabriel Johnson
Feb. 3, 2010 08:58 PM
<snipped>
Tammi Smith appeared tired and disheveled as she walked out of jail just before the sun came up on Wednesday morning. With her husband Jack there to pick her up Smith had a few choice words before heading home, "We are going to tear them apart, I'm not, my attorney is going to tear them apart," said Smith, referring to the Tempe Police Department.

The arrest is not the first for Smith. 12 News uncovered court records from Louisiana that show Smith was charged with forgery, simple battery and disturbing the peace.

McQueary is headed to San Antonio to search for his son. He has been posting flyers along the way during his drive to Texas. McQueary sent a text to 12 News after the arrest which stated: "I am very happy Tammi got arrested, maybe this is what we need for her to talk and maybe this is what we need to stir things up a bit."

Smith is expected to meet with her attorney on Thursday to discuss the charges.

Accusations against Scottsdale woman detailed in case of missing Tempe infant
February 4, 2010 - 10:31AM
<snipped>
A criminal complaint was filed into court Wednesday against a Scottsdale woman who police say is a key figure in the disappearance of a 9-month-old boy.

According to court documents, Smith pressured McQueary to sever his parental rights and give Gabriel to her, and she contacted a judge in McQueary’s and Johnson’s custodial case to request that he grant her guardianship of Gabriel.

Smith told the judge she believed Johnson would return the baby if she knew he would be safe.

Smith also admitted to naming her cousin as Gabriel’s father in paternity paperwork, which she filled out for Johnson, records state. The cousin told police he had never met Johnson.

Friends of Smith also told police she asked them if she could use their names for the paternity paperwork.
