The odd thing about this image is, why take a photo of Khandalese in front the car, chopping most of the car off? Why not take a photo of the entire car? Has the image been edited by media? Others cropped?

I think there is some confusion between cars, because some are discussing XY Ford Falcon Fairmont with 302 Boss motor & "The Boss" number plates
The Boss 302 was created in the Mustang, for CEO of the Ford motor company of the time.

I think you are right that car is a Fairmont. (Teach me to ask my husband anything!!)

The picture has been cropped on the right (to edit a child out) and the top which takes out the open bonnet and a few background people.

I think we are reading way too much into the picture of the car and the comment that was posted with it.

I love Khandalyce's expression in this photo though, she was so gorgeous!

The next question is, did Khandalese go to Canberra? Or was Khandalese kept back in Adelaide while Karlie did a tour of duty down Copperhead road???

Did Khandalese ever leave Adelaide?

And why did somebody choose this time to remove her bones and leave them where they'd be found? There are a lot of scenarios that could explain the murders but I can't come up with anything that makes sense of that.

If I stomped on your skull, it would be flat as a pancake

The coroner may have had several pieces of skull in her hands. Media doesnt state specifically whether the skull was whole to it may have been in several pieces

Did someone hire another 4WD into Belanglo? Whose name would the 4WD be hired under? It was a fire trail, but probably accessible by 2WD

Thanks Panda

No worries Crabby.

"Dr Hayes travelled to a Sydney morgue, took photographs and measurements, then returned to her office in Perth to work on her computer, adding virtual flesh, tendons and skin. Slowly, the face of a young woman emerged."

Yes, they could have had several pieces of her skull, and we certainly don't know if they did or not. I was unable to find any resources as to using anthropologic facial recognition from damaged skulls, however, I personally feel it would have been more likely that the skull was largely intact. I've included a link on it generally, which is quite interesting reading nonetheless.

That track into Belanglo is accessible by 2WD. It is a main dirt road not far from Moss Vale and Berrima. The tracks that run off through the forest can be quite tricky after rain however, so you need a 4WD if you want to go exploring.

Isn't she adorable? Dear little thing. Bless her.

If Karlie ever had $25,000, then why was she still driving a 1986 Commodore?

Yes exactly. And what better way to make Karlie give back the 25.000 if some nasty people would 'babysit' Khandalyce until Karlie would return from the bank with the money. No need to murder a young mother and a toddler.

But I can't imagine she would put 25,000 in the bank to start with.
She was on Centerlink. Don't those people ever ask you to show your bank statements to see if your entitled to receive Centelink payments. If you don't have jobs on the side etc. or any other income?

And then do what with 25,000 as a 20 year old. Go to the bank and say: 'I would like to make a deposit of 25,000 :notgood:
And then when your buying the drugs tell the seller, just a minute, let me get the 25,000 at the bank.

There's only one thing, that if removed, would be immediately obvious to police officers who never saw the contents before it was left at Wynarka AND would explain why multiple people discovered bones & clothes in, by or near an abandoned suitcase but failed to recognise them as human.

Not following?

Not sure how correct that is (bolded above). I think it's only necessary if something gets "flagged". But I don't have any experience in this, so someone who does may be able to chime in.

I don't know what the rules are in Australia, but where I live, you don't get any benefits if you own a house of have more than about 3500,- dollars (cash, car, jewelry, savings or anything else that's worth more than that, all added up) . So putting that kind of money in your bank account would be considered serious fraud that would get you a huge fine.

Well, that one was even to crytic for me
Without knowing what was originally in the case if that was missing you would know it was missing....
Having said that, I think the statement from the police was more a just in case kind of request.

The skull?

So someone took the head back to the boss for the bounty?

They drove the suitcase out of Adelaide an hour then dumped the suitcase side of the road to set someone else up? But thats not the way they went? Wasnt there suitcases around the other parts the Murray region? Whats with the suitcase dumping? Someone does a drop then dumps the case with remnants of evidence? Residue would attract the dogs. Ditch it before we reach the dogs?

Is someone the puppy dog, as some are saying they are? Was someone told to kill someone after the Canberra drop?

Was Khandalese in Adelaide the leverage for Karlie to obey her death march to Belanglo?

I think police would have meant just any item that could help them find out who the remains belong to. So I guess anything anyone could have taken.

I don't think it means they suspected there was something in the suitcase that was now missing.
That's what confused me in this thread. I initially thought that they had clues that made them suspect there would have been something in the suitcase, that no longer was in it when police found the suitcase. Like a secret drugs compartment.

you could deliberately have left the skull out of the suitcase, so they couldn't do a skull reconstruction or get DNA from teeth. But they found hair. And it would make no sense leaving the skull out, but putting the suitcase in plain sight.

And they at least found a jaw bone.

I don't think antechinusRAWR wanted to say, so I will.... her skull.

Yeah, I still don't get it.

I remember a reference to some kids lifting some material with a stick and finding a jaw bone (which obviously pointed to human remains). However, every time I google it, the reference to the jaw bone comes up in the google search, relating to various MSM articles (such as the DailyMail), but the actual articles don't refer to it. There was also a post in thread # 6 by sosocurious #191:

"Paraphrased from Women's Weekly article.
14 July - 2 local boys and a girl were driving along the highway when they noticed 5 meters from the bitumen what appeared to be a large suitcase.
Stopped had a look - found nothing of interest. On returning from their destination they stopped for another look.
A piece of cloth was lifted by one of the boys when he was poking around with a stick. He saw a small but too human jaw bone, it took his breath away.

ww.aww.com.au/latest-news/news-stories/new-witness-comes-forward-in-case-of-missing-girl-in-the-sui"

However, when you click into the link, it comes up as an error. I'm presuming all these reference were removed for a reason - either it was totally inaccurate, or the police didn't want it splashed all over the headlines due to sensitivity reasons.

Does anyone have the link to the original news item we saw about the NSW Police finding DH stopped in a car with TB at Narara in January 2013 where it refers to the car having clothing piled up in it to neck height? This report of the incident and others I could find that weren't behind pay walls don't mention the pile of clothing.
http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/karlie-pe...rd-years-after-her-death-20151030-gkn3rr.html

The Police report of the incident mentions that DH seemed very nervous. I keep wondering if there was anything under that pile of clothing that he was afraid the Police would find if the car was searched. The report said he had moved from near Goulburn to the Central Coast a few days earlier.
