Police allege it was not until Mr Ristevsi's ninth contact - five days after Karen's disappearance - that he told them he drove his wife's car on the day she went missing. He told police he wanted to test a faulty fuel gauge and visit the clothing store, but returned home when he missed the correct turn-off.

I thought BR admitted to using the car, after ?? police indicated they had 'pings' on the car.
But maybe, that is not correct, as perhaps Police wouldn't know so soon.

Sarah Ristevski, 21, got in contact with the Missing Persons Advocacy Network around six days after her mother was last seen leaving her Avondale Heights home in Melbourne's north-west on June 29 after having a heated argument with her husband Borce over finances.

What's interesting about that is they couldn't help that much as it was regarded as a criminal case - At least 6 days after she went missing....

He had told Aunt P he took the car to two garages to get quotes for the faulty fuel gauge. Then told her she was wrong about that.
She assumed cctv would prove that to be the case.

Patricia Gray, who considered herself Karen's favourite aunt, flew down from NSW when Sarah made contact, and the place looked like a wake.

Ms Gray took on the role of search leader and sent people to any place that Karen had a connection with, and put up missing-person posters. But by the end of the day, there was still no sign of her.

The next morning, the Ristevskis spoke to media at Avondale Heights police station, where Sarah said: "There's no leads at all, no sightings, nothing."

So Sarah made contact with Aunt P. Was that via an app or a phone call?

Why would Borce turn his phone off just 2 minutes (11:09) before cruising through the Diggers Rest cctv's? But leave Karen's on for another 31 minutes?
If as the police say Karen was incapacitated or murdered at the house than Borce seems to have made the choice to take her phone on the drive.
What if Karen occasionally had visited AR in the past ("to clear her head") and BR wanted her phone to be pinging near his address? Very seedy, but who knows. Or did he even involve AR, taking the son with him from Diggers Rest? AR is "a witness in the death" - therefore perhaps? Is AR's fear, to be a witness, eligible? Does he therefore need a conversation with a lawyer re incriminating himself? Not because of "drugs" but because of "forced participation"?

Brother 'blamed Borce' for falling out
The court has also released evidence that Karen Ristevski's brother, Steven Williams, had not been in touch with his sister for months at the time of her disappearance.
Mr Williams attended the Moonee Valley police station a few days after Ms Ristevski disappeared, and was crying continuously, according to the statement of Detective Senior Constable Adrian Care.
Detective Senior Constable Care said Mr Williams told him he blamed Borce Ristevski for the falling out he had had with his sister.
He also told Detective Senior Constable Care that the Ristevski home had a CCTV system that should be checked.
However, when the officer checked back with Mr Ristevski and his daughter they said it was not working.

Borce Ristevski's alibi for day wife disappeared 'flimsy', aunt says

This maybe?

An application for the will was approved by the Victorian Supreme Court in May last year, but it is not clear when Mrs Ristevski received her share. Sources close to the family believe proceeds were distributed early this year but lawyer George James Bouhalis, who has long acted for Mrs Ristevski and her husband Borce, said the money was paid before the end of 2015.

I think it was a wild-goose-chase, done by BR for ‘show’. He knew by that stage that Karen hadn’t taken any of her belongings with her. I’d like to know when those searches for rental accommodation were done on Karen’s iPad. Maybe around the same time as those for ‘removing blood’ and ‘mobile phone tracking’?
I think, the online searching was done by KR perhaps, but the searching by BR was for show and for aunty. Otherwise she would have had another reason to say, he wasn't helpful in searching for Karen.

I don't buy the $850 cash story.

*Where did it come from?
*A random robber would be more inclined to grab the cash, chuck the phone and the handbag and not think of driving to Mt Macedon.
*What do Borce's nearest and dearest think happened in the light of the evidence?

Maybe the 850 story, was to appease Aunt P. Who thought - good Karen has some money so she might be just in a hotel somewhere with her phone off.
Particularly given Sarah had the foresight to have Borce check the bank accounts and they had not been touched.
I wonder if Aunt P had arrived in Melbourne or was on her way before Borce and Sarah decided to head down to the police station to report Karen missing?

Or was it a bit early to be dressing for work?
In any case BR could not have put KR in the Mercedes, dressed with pyjamas. Then his story about "left the home on foot to clear her head" wouldn't fit. Who leaves the home in Avondale Heights in broad daylight, dressed in night clothing? In addition: though has a designer bag on one's arm, when leaving in pyjamas?

Those worn pj's will be in the house somewhere - or not!
Aunt P would know I am sure.
All were to distressed the day following to be worried about washing.

Prosecutors allege Mr Ristevski instead had the car for two hours and 19 minutes, in which he dumped his wife's body and turned off his mobile phone and hers to avoid detection. They allege he said he didn't tell them about driving the car because he didn't think the detail was important.

In a statement released on Friday, Senior Detective Eamonn Stanley said Mr Ristevski also failed to tell police there were CCTV cameras at the house. It was Ms Ristevski's brother, Stephen Williams, who told police this, four days after the disappearance.

Mr Ristevski also didn't contact any of his wife's family about her disappearance, prosecutors say.

He had the car for 139 minutes and had his phone turned off for 102 minutes.
So 11 minutes on the trip home and 28 minutes of the trip up his phone was on.
imo

First we thought, the cash story had to do with the argument about finances.
Then we thought, it had to do with the repair of the fuel gauge.
Next was, it could have been a robbery, done to KR because of the $$.
Then we heard of Karen's duty to pay for some cc early in the morning.
Now we are thinking of the rental apartments at the trendy suburb.
$850 cash are good for all you can think of. Don't know, what BR wanted to imply exactly. He also probably don't know.

While the everyone searched for his wife, an Aussie man kept mum
At 5.30am Sarah phoned again but got no answer. She opened Whatsapp, the chat program her mother used to contact overseas suppliers for her fashion boutique, Bella Bleu.

It showed her mother's last log-in was the day before - June 29, 2016 - at 8.57am.

Too many twists and turns. Speculation and bits and pieces of information being released. All beginning to sound like "Chinese Whispers". Words seem to be changed depending on which media and/or reporter is providing information regarding witness statements. Lot's not adding up. Aaaargh..... what is the truth? This is all so frustrating. Justice needs to be served, enough now. Do the crime, serve the time.
