Ive been looking at this Bali Book again from socials.....hint! ....and following lots of interesting trails.

Its obviously very important in the case.

One trail led me here:
I'm imaging that the book is ghost written by a woman in Bali, known to "someone we know".
Possibly cons her too with marriage and falls into his net. She gets left with the debt from the publishing of the book and has to work building furniture....and "someone we know" gets his stories out into the world....I remember he once told a lie about A Wouters saying the name was "Abdul"...Hint

I'm not denying that this book has lots of startling similarities to things already known about AH's life and habits but it's definitely not written by him.
We know that some very intelligent, articulate ladies were fooled by his gushing introduction letter and totally beguiled by it's contents. They described him as being extremely well-read and interesting in terms of his conversational language.

I must be missing something, possibly lots of things but he definitely didn't write that book!!

Edited to add: you can find him on fb, he’s young & has a beautiful wife & kid.fb says he lives in the UK now (if you can trust FB )

FWIW -- Alwin Blum has an account on Twitter/X. Since June 2022. His tagline is: "Analog nomad. Bali-phile. Wannabe yogi. Author." There are no followers. The account follows just two accounts: the Malaysian Ministry of Health and an online Malaysian media company. The account is not active, no tweets. -- Looks like it was just set up for effect. To make AB seem real? BUT not until 2022. Easy to find if you're on Twitter. I was going to post a screenshot but didn't know if it was allowed.

Another FWIW - "blum" in Indonesian language means "not yet." haha
 
Even if AB can be connected to RB, does it lead to Marion? He's admitted to conning women, going to Bali, being a dirtbag, so it's an amazing connection to those things but still not closer to the truth about Marion Barter unless she met her demise in Bali or someone there knows more about Mr Slimeball.

Yes, they are legit family from the UK
One of the sons PdeG did marry a girl from Bali - they lived in Bali for some time you could see on pages but now in UK
This PdeG did not write that ad - he was too young in 1994 and wasn't living in Corinda QLD

The family are linked to a man who we have sleuthed previously who owned a cash register business and Mauritius food business in WA - they are from Mauritius.
That man GdeG is the brother of Michele the artist from Northern NSW -

SOMEHOW there is a link to AH meeting this family and using the name in the advert in 1994 and also a link to this Bali Book - the book was published in Melton Mowbray - where the family from the UK live

No that is true.
But there are many other women out there just like the ones we know of and these women also need a voice. IMO
There are massive gaps between many yrs - 1988 to 1997 for example

I personally don't think MB has anything to do with Bali

But Bali is a massive card in his dealings IMO and from that place there holds many secrets to him. JMO
 
I am 100% convinced that the woman I mentioned above wrote this book.
She is in the photos at the book launch. I originally thought it was the man who is holding the book with the reader Chacko DV - but it is the woman in the photo. That is the same woman linked to all the social media and in one of them she is tagged.

Her own story is exactly like the posts that are written on the FB page. She lost her job in Doha as a Freelance Vision Mixer for a News Station during Covid and moved back to Malaysia where she was from. That is why the book was launched there. She took up building furniture - making cat houses and shelving etc. And travels to Bali often.
She was born @1972 - which is interesting in itself - only 5 yrs younger than DdeH

The book was published in 2017 and 2 yrs later the launch of it in Malaysia

2017 - WHY would a young woman write this book with such parallels to AH dealings with women? There can be no coincidence with this.
It was a few yrs after his dealings with GGB and JO - some stories draw similar situations to theirs.
WHY would a woman use such colourful and visual descriptions when as most of us have said, it definitely sounded like a male who wrote it. Nope.

Did she know AH and wrote about his long winded stories he maybe shared ?
Was she another victim of his?
And wrote the book under the pseudonym to get square with him after he left her with debt or stole from her?

No idea but I am convinced she is the author.

There is also a link to this book and a Media Branding Company with a Malaysia address but out of China

I might be grasping straws with this one, but I seem to recall that AH asked E.Ried about working with him in regard to insurance policies and splitting the difference, in regards to people in China. Can anyone recall that ? It was on the podcast or television doco??

I would struggle to imagine that a woman wrote this book, unless she hates herself and other women very, very, much. I would be mortified to publish a book like this and people who know me read it.

There's some 'seepage' / 'leakage' throughout the badly written stories as I already mentioned is the writer across a few stories drops common ideas about protagonist.

They suggest they are:

A wry observer of life (they aren't)
An outsider
Somewhat genius (they aren't)
Has a true gift with words, to write in a way that others can't (untrue)
Employed as travelogue writer
Are a loner, are not good with people, prefer own company
Others find them fascinating due to above
Speak multiple languages but NOT Balinese
Feel angry / excluded / resentful about not speaking Balinese
Aren't interested in showy wealth or possessions
Prefer life 'on the road' / travelling / being on the move
Have spiritual leanings, found god, consult with shamans
Ex-pat gone to Indonesia
Left behind former life / lives with no regrets
About to leave current life with no regret
Zero sentiment or emotions bar lust, anger, fatigue
In one chapter, uses viagra for sex as if that's 'normal'
Loathes western women who have relationships with young Indonesian men
Appreciates furniture, antiques, fine wine, classical music
Contempt for others
Vindictive and executes retribution inc violence, arson
Migrated due to living off some form of income they don't have to earn
Speaks of property in estate agent type terms as opposed to descriptions
If any children always two from past relationship, no sentiment or development
Always has a local sidekick / assistant who inexplicably helps them out a lot
Health problems, feeling older, feeling wearing, reflecting on life
Loathes foreigners / 'newcomers' even though they are one


I will return to this book more and try to break some of it down - for example scrutinise examples of dialogue - there is very little throughout.
