Niama Hassan, 27, has been missing since Saturday, after she vanished from Cradock St at Holland Park, in Brisbane’s south, about 10.30am. An extensive search of the Wellington Point Reserve and nearby King Island, in Brisbane’s east, saw Ms Hassan’s silver 2016 Nissan Qashqai located in a car park at the reserve, opposite a toilet block, late yesterday. The investigation has so far found that a woman matching Ms Hassan’s description was at a takeaway shop at the Reserve about 10.30am yesterday.

Ms Hassan is described as 170cm tall with a slim build, a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be wearing a denim shirt/jacket and a long skirt, the colour of which is unknown.

No one has heard from Naima Hassan, 27, since Saturday. Her car was located by investigators late on Sunday after CCTV footage captured her purchasing a chocolate at a BP service station at Wellington Point about 10.30am the day before. Naima is of Somalian background and is approximately 170cm tall with a slim build, dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. In the CCTV footage from the BP at Wellington Point Naima was last seen wearing a white long sleeve top and pants, and a black Hijab.

I walk my dogs in Wellington Point daily. This is very sad and out of character for this busy family area - particularly on a Sunday. Hard to imagine this happening with the area crawling with people.

It was equally sad to see fer family and friends milling around the area over the last few days handing out fliers and asking for help.

Oh crap! So sorry Wolfie. Vale Naima. Prayers for her family and loved ones.
