These are the questions they would have to have answered as return residents, which are standard immigration questions. This is the 4/2015 version. I assume it would be the same.

If I understand correctly, they wouldn't have had to answer any of these questions if they are Australian citizens (which I would assume they are as they were born in Australia):

An Australian citizen would only need to hold a current Australian passport to come back to Australia. No questions asked:

If you are an Australian citizen you have an automatic right of entry to Australia and need only present a current Australian passport on your arrival. Australian citizens who travel without an Australian passport may have their entry delayed until their identity and claim to Australian citizenship has been verified.

You can apply for a passport from any Australia Post office, the Australian Passport Office, or Australian diplomatic or consular missions outside Australia. Further information is available on the Australian Passport Office website.

Would still like to know where Anika and Luke were over the Easter weekend, and why Vincent was left alone when apparently he needs his meals at a certain time and apparently can't perform simple tasks without instruction.
sleuthermelb, where is this info about VS from? About the meals and simple tasks?

BUT was he left alone?
Did MS covertly travel across to Leeton to be with his twin that long weekend? Yet unknown.
If the twins were 'split' up by someone other than their own choice, this may have 'intensified' their desire to engage with each other IMO.
Separation may have proved to be difficult for them - especially if the three sons still shared a room together in Holland - as queried in one of MS's twitter posts mentioned above.
They arrived in Australia early June 2013. Did MS initially reside with his mother and siblings in Griffith? Did something happen there? Did the separation of MS from the family happen before or after Griffith? When did MS move to Adelaide, SA, and the mother and two other siblings [LS and VS] move to Leeton, NSW? Did MS move to SA by choice?

MS lived away from the family unit and allegedly VS travelled to SA to visit his twin in Dec/Jan 2015?
He returned to live with mother and older sibling. Little is known in msm of contact/visits until April 2015. How did the twins communicate? text, phone and online?

Speculating, it does hint at something contributing to the separation of the twins. Was there some pre-existing concern about the nature/content/direction of their shared 'thoughts/actions'? The older sibling was possibly parentified as mother's helper and possibly VS's carer to some extent - assuming the alleged Asperger's/autism spectrum.

Much more yet to learn. My opinion only.

maybe Vincent and Marcus had a sexual competition going on.. . . who gets to have a girlfriend first.. who gets laid first.... a powerful motivator and driver, the sexual element of this hideous death. All the men in this family seem to have lived like monks, both in Holland and in AU.... and living with Mum, too.. not the usual Dutch way, in my experience of Dutch culture, .. mostly the kids move out around 18, 19....

And flying under the radar in Leeton, too.. 2 youngish blokes move into a small western NSW country town.... no girls register this event..... weird..

I followed through on the internet as if I was looking for a (I think it was called) Repatriation Visa, as if I were them, in the Netherlands, went to the Australian Embassy website ... and that form is where I ended up. How funny. LOL at bureaucracy.
But sad that it is the case.

Come on now, was it a phone or a camera?
Anika and Luke Stanford returned to the modest rental property where a camera was found that police will allege contained an image of a body, along with Ms Scott’s keys for Leeton High School, where she was an English and drama teacher.

SO, Marcus led the exodus from the Netherlands.
Via social media, an excited Marcus counted down the days before he returned to Australia in May, 2013.
Eight months later, Vincent and Luke finally persuaded Anika, the family’s main breadwinner, to follow Marcus to the land of their dreams.
(same source as above).

Stanford, who was born in Tasmania, moved to Holland with his mother and two brothers when he was a child.

Stanford moved to the Netherlands at the age of two or three with his mother and brothers, the relative said.
Their father Steve followed them afterwards and then went back to Australia.

So their Australian father's name is Steve Stanford? Initials SS. Wonder if he lives in Tasmania? Does he have contact with his sons?

:dunno:

Here I was thinking that the decision to come back here was a lifestyle choice, perhaps based on retirement pension and cost of living, and led by the mother and eldest brother. The other possibility was they were making a new start because of Vincent's behaviour problems.
But if this is true, and Marcus made the move, and then persuaded them to come, only to be ostracised ... It is getting complex.

I did see in the media that he had been contacted by authorities ... but do you think I can find it?

<respectfully snipped>

If SS's possessions were pawned it is probably likely that the twins have known poverty during their lives as it takes a certain amount of desperation to look at the ring of a dead woman and see $....

Many people have grown up knowing 'poverty' which is a relative thing depending upon your social status, country and culture. There may be relative poverty in Australia where income might be at subsistence level, but there is that 'security net' for basic needs. Similarly, The Netherlands is a progressive, contemporary society with social security as well providing for basic needs. Some countries do not offer this basic security net i.e. third world countries where citizens and migrant refugees know real poverty, where basics like a roof over your head, fresh water to drink and daily food are not guaranteed - but people still care for their fellow human beings.

Many people may grow up experiencing some degree of material poverty, but do not rape, murder, incinerate, steal, then mail the murder victim's stolen personal possessions to your brother to conceal and dispose of evidence. The brother chose to conceal receipt of the stolen items from a woman his brother allegedly raped, murdered and incinerated. This is depraved, perverted and criminal IMO. There was no recognition that the victim was a valued human being with family and friends. It seems like she was just an 'object' like a piece of wood to be incinerated to conceal evidence.

This is a different kind of poverty: poverty of normal values, morals and socialization. This is a failure to gain basic socialization of values and morals integral to our culture through both the mainstream education system and home life IMO. The twin brother joined in 'depraved collusion'. He could have chosen to go to the police with the mailed items, but he chose to conceal, pawn and dispose of the evidence. This is deviant and pathological. It is a shocking crime against the victim, total disregard for her as a person, a human being. This crime has devastated her family, friends, the Leeton community and society in general. People have the right to feel safe going about their daily lives. How did these twins stay under the radar? Had they done this before?
My opinion only.

Just reading through MS's Twitter feed for the first time and found it strange that within the space of 12 days he went from considering moving to Australia sometime the following year, to having flights booked for one months time.
Plans seemed to change very quickly....I wonder why. Did something happen that they had to speed up the departure from Holland?

But gradually their interest made him more socially competent. He obtained a driving licence and became 'a really hard worker'.
The couple claim Stanford showed traits of autism, such as getting upset with changes to his routine.
'He wanted his dinner at a certain time. He would get angry if he was cleaning and then half way through got sent on another job,' Mrs Antonisse said.
Stanford left the company briefly because he wanted to go into the army, but was rejected because of his psychological problems, friends have claimed.

The Antonisses claim Stanford initially struggled with normal social behaviour.
'He was monosyllabic. On a 15-mile car journey he would not speak,' Mr Antonisse remembered.
'If a client had a problem and spoke to him he just wouldn't answer he would just look at the ground.'

Stanford's former employer at the place where he worked with Mr Vandersteen revealed to Daily Mail Australia that the Tasmanian-born cleaner had trouble reading social situations and would hardly ever speak.

IMO the lack of adequate speech (most likely delayed linguistic ability and cognitive skills) may tend towards 'autism' rather than 'Asperger's spectrum'. We may learn more through the court hearing.

I Use to know Marcus always thought he was a bit strange,

do elaborate!!........ strange in what way?? Here's my take on it.. I understand that amateur diagnosis of Autism and all this stuff has been claimed, in various news reports, blogs etc.. but I reckon both these brothers were suffering from delusions of grandeur.... I didn't twig until I saw that brief clip of Marcus being escorted by the South Australian police and then the NSW police.. he had a swagger and was as cocky as all get out, not your usual attitude when confronted by these organisations, and the men in them.. usually a word or two is enough to knock any idea of swagger right out of the park.

And how cocky can you get to refuse a lawyer, and refuse to speak when faced with the evidence that has been claimed the police have... photos of the burned body on the your own camera... it's going to be a tough haul to convince a jury that Stephanie burned herself, ( while alive ) and invited Vincent along to photograph her. Good luck with that story, Vinnie. How utterly grandiose does one have to be to actually post Stephanie's belongings, either by electronic mail or snail mail to your identical twin and request he raise money on the objects!!.... if that isn't a severe disconnect from reality and evidence of a life lived in a delusion of grandeur , I don't know what is.

And how cocky and delusionary does the Adelaide brother, Marcus, have to be to attempt to follow this request from Vincent?? Knowing a murder investigation by a powerful mob from the NSW Police who 's life and vocation this job is, who have your brother in custody after , guess what, 2 days investigation, wouldn't that put the wind up one just a little bit?? wouldn't you think. ah.. these blokes might be pretty cluey.... wouldn't you think ,... oh.. well. just a damn minute.. there'll be a knock on the door.... wouldn't you and your housemates have an exit plan?? no? well not if you are deluded by your own grandeur... if you think you have this game sewn up, if you think you are likely (??) to get away with it. ..

so is this the Marcus you always thought was a bit strange??

Hinting at a possible family rift, the alleged killer’s twin wrote on Facebook on January 4: ‘One good thing about not being able to go home, been back to Swan Reach and Gawler for the first time in 4 years.’

http://kemmy.com.au/stephanie-scott...um-after-arriving-in-town-just-13-months-ago/

Apologies for meandering quotes, I am just exploring. I wish I could tie it all together neatly like Trooper. :dunno:

I didn't understand until now, why MS "had been back for the first time in 4 years", when he was in Australia only for ca. 1 1/2 years at this time?
Another question was: "he wasn't able to go home" - Leeton and his family or Zoetermeer in Holland???
