This article is quite interesting to read about a someone accused of killing a homeless man on the northern New South Wales coast. The timing looks like he was arrested in November 2019 so after Theo went missing.
Man accused of NSW killing also prime suspect in Queensland death
*Also note that the person lived in "Bush camps"*
It looks like the court case has been delayed. I wondering if there could be any link with Theo's disappearance.

Does anyone know where Theas camp was where her body was found? Was it up near cosy corner or further back south beyond the car park where he came out onto the beach from the scrub. Also remember where they came out of the scrub there was an abandoned camp.

From a newspaper article it appeared to be closer to where they came out onto the beach. However, this was a pretty crude diagram

Some more points that I just keep coming back to.

IMO...

TH walked an incredibly dark and somewhat scary path with so much ease he even stopped to watch a comedy show because he was feeling comfortable. I believe the presence of women made him comfortable.

TH knew right from the moment he left cheeky monkeys he was going to the rec reserve but he didn't plan on going directly to the beach. Had the beach been the original destination I believe he would have taken a more direct route.

I believe the constant focus on the phone leaving cheeky monkeys is he is using his google maps with the wake up but he is actually self navigating off it to the rec reserve not the wake up.

Just some thoughts

A person explains on Reddit why Theo ended up on the Milne track.
https://sendeyo.com/updownload/file/script/dcc03a0565d9eb7dbf55cbab976c75f3.webp

I think this is very interesting but also raises questions. His google maps account from all reports always has wake up hostel as the destination not the beach?

Why then does he go and stop at the rec reserve? if you were to put the beach into your phone from cheeky monkeys I don't think the rec reserve is where one would end up? There is some variability to this point depending which beach you select on google. Or if you choose car parks etc.. So it is hard to know.

But also he doesn't only take the milne track he veers off it. Are they suggesting google maps also recommends this?

My question to all this is why are we able to know he was looking up the wakeup hostel but there has never been a mention of him looking up the beach? As if he was following what this girl did then he would have had to have logged it into his phone.

Just some thoughts

The dotted lines in gray on these images indicate the path to take to find the way to the backpacker hostel from Cozy Corner.

Interesting, I had it translated.

It is an interesting theory

I just wanna mention about “veering off” the Milne track.

the actual Milne track veers off to the left and a fire trail continues straight ahead. So he technically continued on a straight line, he didn’t veer at that stage.

when I walked it during the day, I actually missed the Milne track turnoff and continued straight into the firetrail. It’s a lot more open too, cos as a fire trail. It has to be able to fit fire trucks in. And what I have alway found interesting is that where Theo went right into the dense scrub towards the beach, the fire trail goes left and opens onto tallow beach road about 50 yards away from memory

I added this earlier but I’ll put it up again. The blue path is the Milne track, and the red path is the fire trail Theo’s phone went.

also remember this is the part of the trip he travels the fastest! Strange ay?

That’s the point the Milne track goes right, and the fire trail is almost straight. You can see the fire trail is more open and visible than the Milne track...esp at night I imagine

Maybe if he is alone he runs fast because he simply wants to get out of the darkness?

I definitely get that, cos once he makes it out onto the beach he travels at 6kms an hour up to cosy corner. I know it was cold that night, but wouldn’t it have been as cold on the open beach with the wind? Maybe it was a headwind he was walking into?

once again though it’s a strange place to be running when you haven’t been there before, but it does go straight and is pretty open so yeah, maybe just got spooked and decided to leg it until he got to the crossroads....... but why go right into thicker scrubland? Cos honestly I was a little spooked going right during the day! Why not go left out onto tallow beach road, and continue unabated on a road to cosy corner car park?

It does look pretty dense from the google earth images, but this is where the fire trail comes out onto tallow beach road. When I stood at the crossroads I could see cars driving along tallow beach road and was close enough to be able to see people walking down to the car park along tallow beach road. Maybe he couldn’t have seen it in the dark but I assume he was using a torch? Honestly though, unless you’ve been there you can’t imagine how close Theo was to tallow beach road, even if he couldn’t see the road, he had maps open and he could have see on the maps he was close to the road, and the road goes to the same destination he went too. The scrub going right was so much more dense, it doesn’t make sense to me, and it’s not that much of a short cut to take in the grand scheme of things.

And didn’t he wait at the “crossroads” for about 4 min before heading through that thick bush, Searching wake up while stationary?
When I walked it, the logical step would have been to continue walking to the road, through the car park and up either cosy corner trail or the beach from the car park entry.
He literally went in the opposite of the logical direction as you say. And if he was running from someone you wouldn’t likely wait stationary at a crossroads would you?

No way in the world if you were running would you stay there for 4 minutes. With him being there for 4 minutes as well, I assume he exhausted all avenues to continue? So it’s not like he could have missed the left turn to the road?

I found some old pics and stuff from a few years ago.

So google maps can send you down the Milne track.

Here are two more interesting pics from the weekend I was there back in July 2019.

One pic is of the ocean and rocks, it’s not the best pic but if you look closely then you will see a person in the centre of the pic, way out on the rocks fishing. I mentioned this earlier and asked how far someone could go around the bend on a low tide, cos I saw first hand they can go pretty far.

The other pic i found interesting, I’m not that tech savvy but I was standing in cosy corner and I noticed my GPS had me up the hill in the scrub when in fact I was standing on the beach! The blue line is the path that is up where the hang gliding platform is. The blue dot was my GPS live location at the time and the red marked location was my actual location on the beach. This wasn’t close to 3 meters, it was more like 70 lol.

is that the really accurate google maps they talk about? Or is that something different?

This is to show that at the time at one stage the gps signal was where I was standing. I didn’t move yet the gps signal sent me up the hill a different direction. I’ve blurred my face for obvious reasons lol, but for further proof that’s where I was actually standing in Cosy corner! Ps, how steep is that hill behind me!

Just for some perspective, the arrows point to where I was standing (the red one is where I was and the yellow one Is where a warning sign was not to climb the rocks).

look how big and nasty that hill is! That’s apparently the hill Theo climbed to get to the light house and fell to his death into the ocean..... in winter, at 1 am, not much moon (if I remember correctly)......really?
