Mystery truck driver was arrested in March 2013. There was supposed to be a court hearing in May 2013 but no outcome appears to have been reported. Jones last arrested in September 2014. You think Jones is the mystery truck driver despite the reported age difference? . . . why?

Yes, occupation matches. Also, truckies know other truckies; especially local ones. Interstate truckies eat in the same places, sleep in the same rest areas, drink at the same pubs. It's a lonely life without mates on the road. (Uncle and brother were both truck drivers).

My initial thought was that AJ was arrested and charged sometime before 27 September when he was eventually jailed. His ex-wife learned of the charges and kicked him out prior to him going to jail. I'm finding it difficult to comprehend that she only learned of the charges the day he went to jail.

I was thinking along those lines as well Makara.
I am having trouble understanding I kicked him out, given the time frame.
It seems as though there may have been no decision to make ... just a couple of members of the force escorting AJ to the car and to lockup.....

Prior to William disappearing at least 30 people were charged as a result of Operation Twigg.
Police declined to say if connections have been made between the operation and the disappearance of William.
There are a number of people that remain on the Mid North Coast and they are on the child protection register .
Operation Twigg was a sixteen month investigation ...so very possibly an active investigation in March 2013. imo

Looks like the rabbit hole in that area of Aus. could be very deep. I must admit it's the first time i have heard of an old timers paedophile ring, yikes! What a scary thought.

Gotta say, it would not surprise me at all. I've been in this area for the past 16 yrs, and have 2 young children, and I can tell you that some creepy stuff goes down around here. Not just paedophiles (though there does seem to be a hell of a lot here), but creeps in general. I had a stranger stalk me for months a few years back, eventually caught him lurking around my windows. The Port Macquarie-Hastings area also has the highest rate of mental illness in the state, and not enough resources to deal with it. Not saying that mental illness has anything to do with William's disappearance, but you get the picture. Nothing at all would surprise me about what goes on around this place.

Yeah there is some big time strategy going on here...You don't get that shot from the perps own previous backyard without some game playing going on..

OK, so LE have let on that BS had a reason to be at the house that day, and that 2 cars were seen.

We have theorised here for months about BS being involved with his van that morning. LE have described the crime as opportunistic.

Now I'm baffled. If 2 cars were spotted (and it seems increasingly likely they were involved), how does the BS/opportunistic/reason to be there/van thing fit into all this?

Police have said they have a good idea of what happened. Well, that's good, because the information we've been given sure is confusing.

I think the reason this case has always been so confusing and not adding up is because police have had to be so careful with what they release. It seems that they have downplayed some things and emphasised other things at certain times. We're left scratching our heads.

I'm actually dreading to hear what police believe happened. I think it will be absolutely chilling.

I understand this "kick him out", that she decided never let return him to the home (from where ever ie jail) and never have contact to the family, when she learned of the charges. Certainly she removed all his belongings out of the home. I would name that process "kick him out".
