Jubes walked that street heaps of times. I am sure that he looked at every angle of everything.

When I look on streetview at the line of sight from Savage's patio, it seems that he may be able to see the driveway and the 2nd dirt driveway at the front of #48 while sitting on the patio.

May have been stated already, but where William was "last seen" and the precise spot he disappeared from may not have been the exact same location.

If the coroner herself can't control it, who can?

It seems like such a waste of time and resources.

Is a search happening today?

I sure hope we get to hear from Jubelin. He will have A LOT of interesting stuff to say, IMO.

I also hope we get to hear from this mysterious caravan woman, Lyn, living out in the bush near where William disappeared. Was she on the run from something? Can they even track her down?

There's enough in this case to fill a movie, or several!

Surely Paul Savages lawyer would have known to be available this week. Is he madly scrambling

i didnt know ps went and spoke to bgm at her place?

The inquest heard on September 12, Mr Savage was alerted to William's disappearance after a knock on his front door by his neighbour.
In Mr Savage's recollection of the day's events he told the inquest he went and saw the foster grandmother and she told him that the two children had been playing 'peepo' when William had disappeared.

Mr Savage said he was told by the foster grandmother the foster mother went inside, made a cup of tea and then she came out and noticed the 'little fella' was missing.

Mr Craddock asked Mr Savage "are you saying the foster grandmother told you all those things at that time?". Mr Savage responded "at that time yes, only took a moment or two"

Mr Savage told the inquest he was at the foster grandmother's house when he had the conversation with her.

yes
I think that's exactly whats going on.

what could possibly keep him away from a very expensive highly publicised important inquest......
another client on a drink driving charge????

Yeah, you'd think so!! Maybe same kids got rewards over and over though lol...like the good kids always trying so always get something at every assembly. Have known that to happen a lot. Who knows though!
Or if more than one child in the same family got awards...easy to confuse them if they look similar.

this is disurbing, and who drove the land rover, wasnt that described as the fcs vehicle?
i cant find the link anymore for that?
On the day before William vanished, Mr Savage had seen a car he had not seen before or since “roar” up the street towards the fire trail.

He described it in a statement to police soon afterwards as a “dull red-coloured Nissan Patrol wagon, a 90s model with a square type build”.

In the late afternoon of that day, Mr Savage also saw a vehicle he believed to be a Land Rover Freelander visit the home of William’s foster grandmother.

He already had a day in wait, and then the court was drawn out longer from bill spedding etc. Why not call Jubes if you have spare time.?

I think he will be called up last of all. I don't think the coroner will exclude him completely.

I agree.

We have thought for a while that William disappeared from a spot by the road down the grassy slope.

But what if he disappeared from the 2nd (dirt) driveway? Which is something we considered way back in the early days - before we saw Jubes standing by the grassy slope, discussing the case with a journo.

I believe that 2nd driveway can be seen from Savage's place.
I also believe it could be where a tradesman might pull up, if he was coming to put a part in a washing machine.

Does anyone else get the impression that the person Jubelin was fixated on was Paul Savage and that caused the blow up with the other task force members.

(I mean the way it's being run; not that the inquest is happening in the first place)

She should take control. The crazies are running the asylum.

This happened yesterday - the cadaver dog being taken through a sawmill. Nothing about any search today.

I wonder if Geoff Owen gets the timber for his patio work directly from the sawmill, seeing that he seems to operate his business from Logans Crossing.

also if ps returned from his walk at about 8.50am he may well have had the opportunity to hear as well as see WT on the back porch or around that area when returning from the walk, that is if he returned via the bush track has his return route been established?
Google Maps
in regards to gj's questioning ps about having william in his direct line of sight from the area he was last seen could well be incorrect. but there is a good chance that wt would have been in his direct line of sight when he was playing on the driveway with his bike at 9.30 am. ps claims he went inside some time between 9.30 and 9.45 and did not see the children at all. that is very bad luck as he could well have seen not only wt but the teal coloured car as well. just turn it 180 degrees.

I understand the family arrived well after dark. It was pitch black when they stopped by the roadside shortly after the McDonalds visit. Probably a misrecollection--I trust it's not yet another car checking to see if the family had arrived yet.
