According to a relative, the first time Mr Spedding had mentioned the baffling case was when he saw Williams grandmothers home on television news reports and said hey, I think Ive been there.
I am assuming that if he said I think I have been to that house then he may have also said in fact I was supposed to be at that house today BUT ??????

IMO that was a totally GUILTY thing for him to say. A way of being "upfront" with his family about his connection to the house before the police came knocking, but being vague enough about it to not raise their suspicions.
