I too will be very glad when this case finally goes to trial. It's like an open wound to still have it unresolved. Yes, the perp is in jail and yes that's a relief, but I imagine the family, the friends and the community would like resolution once and for all.
I had a theory going for awhile that maybe the defense was okay with the slow-as-molasses pace of this case getting to court because they know deep-down that BC is going to end up in the big central prison for life and conditions are somewhat better for him in county jail, so why rush things? Far-fetched I'm sure, but that's one scenario I conjured in my mind as to why they would be okay with a late 2010 trial.
Of course Fran's hypothesis makes more sense to me now that I've seen it! Heh.
