I found this report in the Guardian that contradicts what someone posted about snuff films being an urban legend.

I'm starting to think there's a possibility of "Russian type" as being a lot more violent then *advertiser censored* that's not classified as "Russian". I could be totally off base though.

Snuff films are not an Urban Legend. Sadly they are very real.
In the 1960's and 70's there was a more or less 'secret sect' of people in the US who made and watched those films. In order for a film to be a snuff film the female had to be murdered. :furious:
There was a case years ago that involved a high ranking state official who arranged to pay 30,000.00 for a woman he 'picked' to be in the snuff film.
She of course had no idea what was going on but she was killed during the filming. The official was charged with felon but pled down to a lesser offense.
