The google translate says:

Basically the TV reporter says that her death is treated as suspicious, that its not a straightforward case. More will be revealed once the toxicology reports come in. Says her University coursemate (last name Tristea) said she was a very likeable girl, etc.

It doesn't mention any "juicy" details like for instance, that the body was found nude, that the hotel staff are suspects, all those sort of details contained in the post I translated today here :

From that same report:

A netizen asked if Elisa's body was definitely wound and trauma free. The Coroner affirmed this. The Coroner also said that Elisa's body was in a young, fit and healthy state before she died. It showed no signs of having long-term drug use or poisoning.

And without a toxicology report, the coroner would know this how ??

I think she did, there's a short TV report made by her. LINK But the exact contents of her conversation with the Coroner might be different from what was posted online by someone claiming to be her sis. And even if she did tell her sis (if she has one) so, most likely she'll deny it when asked.

I've just seen the TV report in your link. All the things she said are the same as reported in all other English media on the web. There's nothing of the sort said by the person claiming to be her sister.

It would be hard for someone to keep Elisa in their room after killing her, since hotel's have housekeeping daily, I just don't think some guest, long term or not would do this

I do think one option is this was a murder by either a hotel employee from the Stay or Cecil...and was'nt there a Maintanence office/room on the 14th or 15th floor?

If Elisa was placed in the cistern tank long after murdered, the employee could've hid her in this Maintenance room and likely knew it's probably a room hardly ever opened or used

Have you seen the photo of one of the SO's rooms. He has been living at the Cecil for 26 yrs. From the looks of the room I doubt hotel housekeeping has stepped foot into this room in a very very long time.

However, it wouldn't be very difficult for a maintenance person/employee to know which rooms would not be entered due to to repair needs or use an area of the hotel that is rarely if ever used. I mentioned in the first thread that a few weeks ago I decided to do my own 2AM tour of the Queen Mary in Long Beach . I was in areas that have not seen a human in years. I found myself in areas that were just small holes, not even as big as a closet, that led to old metal ladders, which in turn led to many areas within the ship. I know there is a big difference between an old ship and an old hotel but is it possible that the hotel has a crawl space or a few rooms that are not used on a regular basis or only by a specific person?

I know it is a bit of a stretch but just throwing out some different ideas..

But why,if she was kept alive, would the tracking dogs not have picked up on her scent? Even if she went to the roof alive, why didn't they pick it up? I know they aren't 100% and that they have different dogs for different situations. but those dogs are well trained and one would think they would've picked up something if she were kept in an area of the hotel that was easily accessible or on the roof.

What if she was trying to stall the elevator at the floor she was on because she thought someone was following her on a lower floor? Wasn't there a report that the other elevator was broken? So she keeps trying to stall the working elevator to slow down her pursuer on a lower floor. And goes in and out of the elevator to check to see if he's coming up the stairs.

Just ruminating. Doesn't explain her weird gestures, though.

Thanks for the video link! Really appreciate it. I think this is the first time I see a news channel actually reporting that an LAPD officer told them that Elisa was found nude, etc.

Okay for those who don't understand Chinese, let me translate the video for you (I won't go into the parts where the LAPD officer speaks, because you already understand English) :

The police suspect that Elisa may have been poisoned by narcotics, and they are awaiting toxicology reports to ascertain that.

The LAPD officer categorically stated to the reporter that Elisa was found completely nude, and the police think Elisa's clothes may have been sucked down the water pipes.

The officer says there are NO surveillance cameras outside of the elevator on the 14th floor and they have no more surveillance footage of her after that elevator video. He adds that the police are analysing the video of Elisa. They are hoping that any hotel guests or residents who were staying there when Elisa was, would come forward with more information about her if they had any kind of contact with her, or if they happened to have caught a video recording of her or something like that.

Now whether that means that LAPD were unable to retrieve Elisa's clothes, I don't know. What do people make of it?
Also there has been a lot of discussion on many forums about whether it is possible for her clothes to get sucked into the pipes or not. Well I'm none the wiser...

One possible explanation is that the coroner looks for signs of long-term drug use. For instance, what if a drug addict who's been using drugs for 1 or 2 years decides to stop for a week? His body may not be using drugs at the time, but there are ways to tell that he's been using it for years.

Found this comment on an elevator hacking website (yes, apparently there is such a thing). Not sure if this correct, but interesting about the "code" part. Could Elisa have been trying to enter some code? A Google search suggests that this also occurs in video games a lot.

Wow, Marlon! Thanks. When I got back home I was daunted to realize that in order to catch up on this case I'd read through a ton of material in a few short days. Now, I'd have to go back through the 8 or 9 threads each with more than 20 or so pages to find where it all pieced together. Except the part about where EL is making a comment about a Huffington Post article related to all this.

And yes, I also saw the links to RS with this, but at the time, I was more interested in a different angle and sort of glossed over this because I didn't understand the significance or context back when I was reading it, because it seemed far-fetched, ya know? But, then in light of everything else in the case...not so much when you think about it.

I'm sorry for my bluntness here, but I don't buy that those are logical leaps. By using this same logic, you can tie me to the Invisible Light Agency as well. Especially because Elisa's only ties to this are (1) that she retweeted an article that almost everyone in my social networks posted, too (I reblogged an article about it myself), and (2) that a VFX company had an address at the Cecil or near it. Those seem like very weak ties to me.

There is one aspect about this that I agree is odd: that fake Facebook page that was there, with one friend. But I think trying to link that through to a VFX company is a stretch.

I have never had any close encounters with triads despite being of Chinese descent, growing up in Asia in Chinese speaking communities, going to Western countries where there were triads lurking around in some spots. I've seen guys that look like they're from the Triads when I frequented nightspots in Asia and the West lol... they always looked scary to me and I never wanted to be involved with it. But am not sure if friends know Triad people...

Its interesting you mention the triads though... her family may have had to pay protection money being that they worked in the restaurant business... but then again, triads don't operate everywhere. They have turfs, and I'm not sure whether her family were involved. Anyway, interesting suggestion... though I think so far there have been no clues that point to their involvement and like you said, its quite unlikely they'd go to the trouble of trailing her all the way to LA... unless maybe her family are some kinda of bigshot players in the triad scene... otherwise, seems hardly worth it for them going to the trouble of killing her this way.

Yeah, I agree that it doesn't seem worthwhile for them to track her down to LA and kill her, even if there were HA or triad or mafia or other gang ties involved. As well, the police generally know who the major players are in the area, so I'm sure they'd be investigating that avenue if it were the case. And if that's the case, they probably know way more than we do!

Elisa didn't tweet about an invisibily cloak because she's involved in some shady stuff. She tweeted about it because it's an interesting story, it involves a canadian company, and mostly because she was an Harry Potter fan. Occam's razor...

I'm wondering if the LAPD or hotel CCTV archives have any footage prior to the video they released. It'd be good to know whether EL took the elevator up to the 14th floor from her room on the 4th floor. If all the elevator security videos leading up to the video they released don't show EL, then maybe she took the stairs (10 flights??) Or we could see who else was going up the elevator right before her video. If she took the elevator up, we could see what type of behavior she may have been exhibiting on her trip up to the 14th floor.

As for the clothes being sucked into the 4 inch pipe, I'm wondering how her flip flop/sandals could get sucked in (or how a hoodie could be removed from both arms while on a torso, along with gym shorts (or whatever she was wearing) and underwear purely from water movement and decomposition of a body.

This case is getting from very intriguing to super intriguing. It's giving me sleepless nights.

Before finding websleuths, I read a post somewhere suggesting Invisible Light's connection to Dark Water, the movie with the body in the water tank. Besides mentioning some of the stuffs you mentioned here, the logo of Invisible Light was posted for comparison with a screenshot of the stairwell in the Dark Water trailer.


I am just sharing this information, not suggesting any theories.
