Carson Station detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a foster child, who was abducted by their biological mother on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at from Towne Elementary School.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., the foster mother of 8-year-old Dylan Kostenko showed up to Towne Elementary, located at 18924 Towne Avenue in the city of Carson, to pick up Dylan. She was informed by school personnel, the child had been picked up by his biological mother, 29-year-old Dariia Kostenko.

Dylan and his biological mother, Dariia, were last seen walking northbound from school in a residential area and out of view. Dylan was last seen the morning of May 29, 2018, wearing a black t-shirt with a picture of a dog and the phrase “Dab All Day” and blue jean shorts. Dariia was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

not going to speculate, but i wonder why he was in foster care? i hope his mom is stable right now (even though taking the child isn't thinking straight). i hope he's safe.

Kostenko is from the Ukraine and is in the U.S. on a student visa, sheriff’s officials said. Officials said they are using resources to ensure that Kostenko does not leave the country. She does not have any vehicles registered to her name. Her last known address is in Los Angeles, but she had apparently also been a transient.

Officials Continue Search for 8-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Abducted by His Biological Mother in Carson

Found safely......brought in by the mother's boyfriend.

An 8-year-old boy allegedly abducted by his biological mother in Carson earlier this week was brought to the authorities on Thursday.

Two days after the boy was taken, the suspect's boyfriend, 48-year-old Antione Deshon Eldridge, brought him to the Inglewood Police Department, the agency said.

Two hours later, officers found Dariia Kostenko near the station and arrested her on suspicion of kidnapping, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Eldridge was booked on suspicion of accessory after the fact, the Sheriff's Department said.
