The Toronto-raised Sementilli, 49, was murdered on Jan. 23, 2017, his body discovered by his horrified daughter.''

''Sources told theToronto Sun that the sensational trial is slated to begin on March 22, 2021 after numerous delays, most recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

''Monica Sementilli is slated to go on trial for first-degree murder on March 4. She has pleaded not guilty and none of the allegations against her have been tested in court.

But recent changes in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office have left the Sementilli family terrified that they may never see justice.

New District Attorney George Gascon is determined to dial back the clock to the hug-a- 1970s.''

“Fabio’s mother passed away, and she was desperate to understand — and know — why her beloved son was murdered,” a family friend told the Toronto Sun. “And it was her dying wish that the people responsible be punished for the murdering her son so brutally.”

''A Toronto family is breathing easier after a Los Angeles judge torpedoed a gambit from the city’s new soft on crime district attorney to cut an alleged black widow sentencing slack.

Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen refused to dismiss the special circumstance clause that can potentially send a convicted felon to prison for life without the possibility of parole.''
