I would think that intentionally driving over a cliff and killing one adult and three children, possibly six would be a felony.
Felony: It was in the search warrant affidavit: "Based upon the California Hwy Patrol investigation, it is their belief 'A felony has been committed.'" Since it is the California Hwy patrol and not Washington police, I am speculating that something was discovered in the SUV that lends the investigators to believe a felony was committed prior to the crash? Or is this a belief that the act of driving over the cliff was intentional -- meaning driver killed passengers?
I agree I've considered the same scenario. Now if these children were as sheltered as the Turpin kids maybe they are in the woods or some place hiding out not knowing where else to go not knowing anything about how the world works. It is possible that the 3 children if they're in hiding have yet to come out in fear of being returned unaware that the family had died. So, Devonte requested that the DeKalbs leave packages of tortillas and peanut butter, cured meats etc. in a box for him to pick up, presumably on a regular basis, AND also requested that the DeKalbs call CPS.
Again, a speculative scenario. Maybe the three missing kids successfully planned and executed a breakout, and when I say "successfully" I suggest that it could have been a partial success in that they hoped to get everyone out but couldn't, who knows. In any case, three of them got away, throwing Jen and Sarah into a panic, especially when CPS came knocking at the door. In the aftermath, the remaining kids, including that 19-year-old adult, were forced into the SUV for the ride south.
However, if this is what happened, where are the missing kids? Hiding out in the woods in fear of being returned to the Harts? I am holding on to this idea as the best possible outcome.
But anyway. 90 mph. I think that should remove any doubt that this was intentional.
Could it be that the Hwy Patrol determined the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed (90 mph) thus a felony?Felony: It was in the search warrant affidavit: "Based upon the California Hwy Patrol investigation, it is their belief 'A felony has been committed.'" Maybe it took them that long to get the nerve to actually do it?
Do we know which parent he was speaking to before DH hugged the cop? After seeing the zebra video, there is little doubt in my mind that the photo op that went viral was encouraged, if not staged. I mean, he'd been used as a prop for years by then. It seems plausible to be getting direction, even working up tears, for the next act, that day. Does he worry about being a full grown black man who doesn't wear a "free hugs" sign around his neck, or is she projecting her own fears onto him, working him into a frenzy of his own or he just knows how & when to act the part for her. Sign "around his neck" in her comments makes me cringe, too, for some reason. I often see him holding the sign in the pictures.
Did anyone else notice DH appears to be clenching his fist in the pic featured in the first post here? Does it strike anyone else as a little oddly, idk, aggressive? Maybe it's a "heck yeah", proud, kind of thing, but it keeps catching my eye.
I don't know what to hope for. If the three kids are out there, precious time feels lost thinking they were in the vehicle or that it was not intentionally driven into the ocean. But, of course, I'm not privy to what they know behind the scenes.
I thought I could just follow here this time and not comment on this one. Guess I was wrong.
I find myself with clenched fists quite often but for me it is due to a high level of stress and anxiety.Yes, I noticed that also. But didn't we see some fist clenching in some of the Turpin children photos? I thought
it could indicate a 'special needs' child or emotional problems.
That sounds fantastic----for LITTLE CHILDREN.
These were teenagers. Why would they care about crayons, markers and construction paper? They want to know how to use computers and cell phones and the latest technology.
What kind of homeschooling were they receiving without technology? What kind of jobs were they preparing for without knowing how to use computers and cells?
They must have been bored out of their minds.
When the helicopter did a fly over the house I noticed not 1 toy, ball, bike, etc. I've got 2 kids 1 17 yr old and a 7 yr old and my porch has scooters, skateboards, bikes, balls you name it. I really think those kids were not allowed to do much of anything unless it was for a rally or photo op.http://www.crimeonline.com/2018/03/...lunge-that-may-have-killed-the-entire-family/

The home does not look like a home where 6 kids grew up. It was obsessively clean.

If Jen responded so harshly to such a little thing, like finding a penny in a pocket, the kids must have been trained to behave, without question, and act like circus performers.
