CA - Mass shooting at Gilroy Garlic Festival, 3 dead up to 11 injured, 28 July 2019

Yet there are so many "disgruntled" youths subscribing to this hateful ideology. It's exactly what created the Taliban and ISIS. Those who feel dispossessed, marginalized, disrespected, etc.
Terror groups like ISIS, Boko Haram, etc. are created by EVIL adults, often quite rich, and backed by some states for political influence.

They brainwash and recruit rich and educated youths too.

Some of the most popular "radical islam" related books are written by proponents of Muslim ban.
And there is other popular material on radical Islam actually written by radical Muslims for the purpose of indoctrinating others.

So we have to look at SL's overall views and actions.
Agreed. Conveniently omitting certain facts regarding extremist material, however, prevents such an over all fair review.

This is very true and it shows how biased the news media can be. They have a certain "agenda" to put forward and then try to color the facts to support it.

It is just this sort of thing one sees often in network news programs, particularly CNN. And they wonder why they have such a reputation for "Fake News".

The article that stated he had radical Islamic propaganda also was from “a source that was not authorized to talk to the media therefore could not be named.” So I’ll take it with a grain of salt until there’s more reliable information.

SWL attributed Instagram account was very new, with 0 following, and 0 followers before Sunday's terror. The account owner made 2 of total 3 posts on Sunday.

Very 1st post was a photo of his well educated, progressive, socialist, American citizen, maternal grandfather who died in 2001. He was born in Iran but came to America in his youth, and became an Economics Professor.

His maternal grandmother was a mixed-race woman, since she was the child of Philippino-American actress Brenda Marshall. His mom was essentially an almost-white educated white collar worker in Silicon Valley.

Those were the two kinds of people the Instagram posts were denigrating.

July 22, 2018 shootings in Toronto initiated similar claims. That young man had obvious mental health problems, but bigots latched on to his Pakistani heritage.

Supreme Gentleman...utterly ridiculous...
Elliott Rogers killed 7 people just because I could not date girls! What kind of gentleman was this? :(
Right on Isabelle98! One must first be a man before he can become a gentleman. In all these cases we have prolonged, subsidized losers living in Mommy & Daddy's basement ordering pizzas via internet and playing war games all night. No wonder they can not find girlfriends. They never learned how to be a man in the first place. Who wants to be saddled with an aimless loser?

Are these books sold on Amazon, and reviewed in newspapers and TV shows? No. You have to go to dark corners of the internet to secretly download them. So they are certainly NOT popular!

That 1890s "Might is Right" book, mentioned in SWL attributed account, has been read by more people than all known "radical islam" titles. Amazon will deliver it to your door.

Not to get off-topic, but Brenda Marshall was born in the Philippines to two Swedish parents. I don't think she was mixed-race.

R&J:) THANK YOU SO MUCH. The information on the family lineage is just dhaaaang fascinating! So, he is technically the great grandson of legendary actor William Holden.
"In 1941, Marshall married actor William Holden, who subsequently adopted Virginia Gaines (born November 17, 1937, New York City). Virginia married an Iranian-born University of Texas, California Lutheran University, & UCLA economics professor Ali Ashgar Vahabzadeh, who had anglicized his name to Ali O. Baylor, and the couple had a daughter Ardis Baylor, who is the mother of Santino William Legan, the perpetrator of Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting"

...

William Holden was born William Beadle. Harry Weinstein named him Holden, after his beloved ex-wife Gloria.

Just because of the amazing coincidence, my father-in-law is a real William Holden, and I dated a girl named Ardis before dating his daughter. Both girls liked one of my handsome Middle Eastern friend.

Popularity has little to do with the ease of obtaining things. By this logic, marijuana could never have been a popular drug because it was / is relatively difficult to obtain- right?

I am having difficulty following the line of thought. To start with "all" is a pretty encompassing word. In either case, the train of thought seems to be:

- "Z" is sold on Amazon. "X" is not sold on Amazon.
- So it must be true that globally more people have read "Z" than "X".

I doubt the Amazon marketing specialists would agree with you. Rather, there could be many reasons why something not sold on Amazon has a wider distribution than something sold on Amazon. One such reason could be that product "X" is free and there is no need to buy it.

Marijuana is quite easy to obtain, just like anti-muslim books.

It is a malicious myth that "radical islam" books are popular in any country.

The difficulty of defining "popular" aside, do you have a source for your claim?
Do you have a source for the claim that any "radical islam" book has ever been popular, however you define it? I was responding to such a blanket statement. Who can even name one such book?

By comparison "Might is Right" and "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" have been popular for 100 years, and available for free even before internet.

Yes

A radical Islamic preacher has had 29 million 'views' on You Tube and 19 million 'likes'. The link also has view data on various white nationalist type people as well (one has had 400,000 views). 29 million views meets my definition of "popular".

Now, do you have any sources for the various claims you have made?
Who can even name one such book?

I can:
- Foundations of Preparation for Holy War.
- Declaration of War Against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places,” Osama Ben Ladin (more of a manifesto than a book).

At the end of the day, Jihadis are just as likely to produce written propaganda as right wing extremists are. There maybe more right wing material simply because the right wing extremists got a head start in regards to propaganda distribution. Modern Jihadi ideaology was not really codified until the 1970s.

Agreed! :)
I don't even understand why girls disliked him so much because he wasn't ugly at all. He was handsome! Unfortunately his psychopathy was his real problem :(

Most people don't "like" someone only because they're not ugly.

Obviously he's a psycho. Why wouldn't "girls" dislike him?
