Found Deceased CA - Richard Moss, 22, Montara, 25 May 2017

[h=1]Family of Missing Man Pleads for Barriers Near Devil's Slide[/h]The family of Richard Moss on Saturday clamored for the installation of traffic barriers near Devil's Slide along Highway 1 — the last known location of the missing 22-year-old man who disappeared in May.
A wheel belonging to Moss' car was recently found on the side of a cliff next to Highway 1, meaning that he most likely drove off a portion of the coastal roadway near Pacifica and plummeted into the ocean.
That revelation prompted Dan Moss, Richard's father, and supporters to hold signs along the coast Saturday urging Caltrans to improve safety in the area.
"We want those temporary barriers put up immediately from the north end of Montara Beach where it's straight all the way up to the tunnel," Dan Moss said

This is such a tragic story. Poor Richard. And then his poor dad (and family) who've spent every waking moment trying to find him. I know they are closer to maybe recovering the car, but they still haven't found Richard himself. Gut wrenching.

Now, what great people Richard's family and supporters are to passionately fight to keep any other people from going over that cliff. That Cal Trans is fighting against this is baffling and incomprehensible. They are about to become public enemy number 1 if they don't respond with what's in the best interest of people. Callous.

Richard's father posted a doc that opens his son's obit. :rose:

Other posts mention that Cal Trans is putting a guard rail at the broken stone wall. I found news article discussing it here. https://www.facebook.com/HMBreview/posts/1802450069768340
One lane of Devil's Slide will be closed this evening at 8 p.m. so Caltrans crew can install a new concrete barrier in a section of the roadway about a mile south of the tunnel. The new 3-foot barrier will be placed in front of a stone wall that sits along a curved portion of the roadway. It is designed to be a safety improvement over the 20-inch wall that currently sits there. The lane is expected to be re-opened by 4 a.m. on Friday. Traffic will be under one-way traffic control during the closure.
Richard is still missing. :(
