GUILTY CA - Sarah Douglas, 26, murdered in her Elk Grove home, 1 May 2014

http://fox40.com/2014/05/06/investi...st-with-escorts-sex-tape-at-cal-fire-station/

LE confirms she was an escort, she was on a website and that is how she was thought to have met Fleming
Her website has not been active since 2011. That is when she met Fleming
It is thought that someone else from the website may be helping Fleming
Authorities allegedly are aware of the sex tape involving Douglas, Fleming and others in the fire house.

I wonder why? Could be one of two things, Moe not being found yet, or the young women's family. The link I posted said Ione had security in case he showed up. Honestly Id like to see or read that they used dogs when they found his truck. Also how long does it take to process a vehicle? Wondering if anything other then Moe's blood was found? People do live double lives. Its hard for me to think he was just a cold blooded killer. Makes so sad.

It's really strange LE haven't reached out to myredbook, yet media has and have obtained information that contradicts what police thought. Police said there was no activity on Sara's website since she met Fleming in 2011, but the website has told media she last logged on this April! Perhaps LE thought they couldn't get any information without a warrant or something....

Unless police were talking about another website, that was Sara's own?

People in Elk Grove where Fleming's truck was found say they had often seen it parked there before, so I guess that's what led police to believe he may be hiding out with someone there. To be honest, I'd be worried for the welfare of anyone who is hiding him. One of the early articles mentions how a neighbor said Sara and 'Moe' were a 'friendly' couple, but neighbor added he'd 'seen him hit her' once.

I just thought - if he is being sheltered, that person could be in a dreadful position because if Fleming just turned up before news of the murder broke, he may not have told them the real reason he needed shelter. Once the person heard on the news, they may be too scared to ask him to leave or report him. Or he might be stopping them.

The upstanding fireman in the community is familiar with an escort service, possibly killed his girlfriend and could be hiding out with someone he met online?

Would he take off to Mexico?

If she was threatening to expose all the fire fighters on the video then maybe he would not be the only P.O.I. A lot of men could lose their jobs and their families if it was made public. JMOO

Thats crazy stuff. You would think a career firemen with that much background would b able to burn his house down. Specially a man that teaches how to put the stuff out. Going back to look at the dates of the redbook log ins......

Maybe he didn't have enough time? I kind of got the impression that something interrupted him in the process - perhaps her sister calling and saying she was on her way over?

Excerpt : Detectives told Fox40.com that it does not appear that Douglas used the website since she met Fleming two years ago.

But authorities told the station that they are aware of a reported sex tape made in the firehouse where Fleming worked. The video reportedly showed the two having sex with several other firefighters on fire trucks. "

I'm thinking there may be a couple of firefighters looking for a job by the time all the dust settles. I'm pretty sure making sex tapes while on the job isn't part of their job description.

My guess is that this guy went to some familiar place and killed himself. Since we all know that the cops never find anything when they conduct "exhaustive searches", it may be months or years before a hiker or a jogger stumbles across the body, most likely within a hundred yards or so from his vehicle.

I would think you may be correct on that one.

I'm really bugged by all this. I have 23 years in as a wildland fire fighter. It bugs me that he believed he was above the law with the BS he pulled at Ione. I work with many great firemen that would not even think to pull that BS at work. I don't care what a person does at home, just don't bring it to work. MF had a great career and place to work, he helped many firemen. I think the tape is what started this whole ball rolling. MF set a lot of people up to fail the day that tape was made. He failed as a leader. I am holding a shred of hope he and Sara met with fall play. With the introduction of the tape that is sadly trickling way. I am actually really furious with MF right now. He let more people down then he knows. :banghead:

Ok, this case is just bizarre. I don't know what to think. I'm assuming they have more evidence that the suspect is not actually a victim at this point. I'm not sure why the guy doesn't just turn himself in at this point if he's guilty, unless he really thinks he can run and form a new identity. I feel really bad for the ex wife (kid/s) if all this is true. Ugh, can't imagine.

I agree. He held a high place in the community and then, whether planned or just snapped I have no idea, he became a murderer (moo). The fall from the top always hurts. I don't think he is trying to out run or start a new identity. I, too, think we will be hearing about his body being found and the cause a suicide.

Fleming's estranged wife, Meagan Fleming, has said her husband was never violent towards her and the victim attacked her in a classroom. I'm thinking (hoping) she's not saying this to suggest the victim is somehow responsible for her own death, but because she believes Fleming's innocent and this is a case of mistaken identity or something?

Trouble is, police seem pretty certain who their only suspect is, and if both Orville and Sara were victims of foul play, why would the killer leave one body in the house, and remove the other?

It still sounds to me like the kind of sudden, violent, 'domestic' crime where the perp takes his own life. But it makes me very uneasy he has not been located yet. Trained suspects who are accustomed to authority and status can sometimes be explosive and destructive when cornered. I hope there is not going to be a Christopher Dorner type scenario here.

There is a link to a news video here, with a brief interview with sara's sister.

The Sheriff's dept do seem to have maybe already received some info or a tip from someone who Orville asked for help - "Investigators understand Fleming may have reached out for assistance.."

Yes it is sounding that way. Like I said, he let a bunch of people down with his actions. Sara, his family, the people at work that trusted him. Not much left for him, really.

BBM - I hope that's the case... difficult to tell by the way it's stated. Seems the location of where he left the vehicle is significant, so that should give them a clue. But then again, maybe that clue only led to somewhere else....

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Bowman said Fleming is thought to have ties to the neighborhood where the truck was left, as well as the Fresno area

Ok, maybe they do know more...
“We have information that he has most likely reached out to someone in the community of MyRedbook.com,” Bowman said.

Investigators believe Fleming was likely picked up by someone he met on the site when he ditched his Cal Fire truck in Elk Grove just minutes after he allegedly stabbed Douglas to death.

And a lot of those leads are coming from his use of a website used to meet escorts.

"Orville Fleming has a predominant role in the website called MyRedBook," Sgt. Lisa Bowman said.

...Bowman says that the department has a list of individuals who may have been contacted by Fleming to seek assistance.
