I hope this doesn't end up an "experiment" for the thesis. Of course, it would still be an enormous relief.

Just rewound the local Halifax CBC news and yes, Loretta is being reported as 3 months pregnant and doing her honors thesis at St. Mary's University. Wanted to make sure that I heard it correctly. Cannot find a link online for this information.

Hopefully all those close to her and the baby daddy are being investigated.

Praying for her safe return and for her family to have strength to carry on the search and pressure to find her in the coming days.

Just simply unreal as her thesis was on missing and murdered aboriginal women. This is a big WOW for sure.

2. Loretta's sister is headed to Halifax to help look for her
3. Loretta's sister is working closely with the boyfriend to find her
4. Loretta is 3 months pregnant
5. Loretta is an addict and regularly attended local methadone clinic to battle addiction
6. Thesis topic Missing and Murdered aboriginal women
7. Getting good grades at St. Mary's
8. Sister arrives in Halifax morning of February 19th (tomorrow)
9. Last message rec'd from Loretta was a simple "Hey"

That is all the latest information - hoping that she is found safe and soon.

She's originally from Newfoundland. Maybe she decided to take a trip home.

She can't drive to Newfoundland, just fly or take a rather long ferry ride, so if she went to NL it wouldn't take long to know for sure.

He also says his sister sent a strange text message to her boyfriend.

“She told him that she had locked herself out of online banking and that she couldn’t remember my mother’s maiden name to unlock it,” he said. “You know, I really find that hard to believe.”

I totally agree - this is not looking or feeling very good right at the moment. So hoping she is found and is safe.

“They say now that they had a ding on her cell phone in Windsor, Ontario. I mean, she wouldn’t go to Windsor, Ontario without telling anyone.”

Police say they can’t confirm that her cell was traced to Ontario. Police in Windsor confirm they are working with Halifax police on the case, but wouldn’t provide any details.

How did the boyfriend respond when she told him she had forgotten her mother's maiden name?

Was that the last text he received from her?

Was it her roommates that saw her last at her apartment?

"Last night, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, Loretta’s car was located in Harrow, Ontario. A 25 yr old old man and a 28 yr old woman were arrested without incident and are currently in the custody of the OPP."
Ontario police have found Loretta Saunders's car and are now treating her disappearance as suspicious.
Two people have been arrested.

Looking grim indeed. One can only hope that Loretta is found somewhere safe and just can't get to a phone right now to call family.

"Saunders, a Saint Mary’s University student, was reported missing to police by her family on Monday. She was last seen in the Cowie Hill Road area in Halifax in the morning of February 13.

There are only “limited details” to release since the investigation is ongoing, Bourdages said.

“We do know Ms. Saunders was seen on Cowie Hill Road on Feb.13. We also know that her vehicle was found last night,” Bourdages said.

“Between those two dates we’re asking for the public’s help in filling in the blanks.”

Delilah Terriak, Saunders’ sister, started a Facebook group Tuesday and flew back to Halifax this week from B.C. to join with her family in the search.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Saunders or her car, a Toyota Celica bearing Newfoudland and Labrador plate HCP 543, to come forward.

Saunders is described as an Inuk woman with light skin, 5’7”, about 120 pounds with light brown straight hair".

This doesn't sound good at all if the forensic unit is at the apartment. One would have thought that the apartment would have been checked out when she was reported as missing.
