Family Friends Undermine Harold Henthorn’s Accounts Of Wife’s Death

"Family friends of the Henthorn family took the stand on the third day of the murder trial for Harold Henthorn. They dramatically undermined stories and accounts Harold Henthorn told about the evening his wife, Toni, died in 2012 and about the death of his first wife in 1995...

Harold Henthorn told different people different versions of what happened. He told some family and friends that he was reading a text message on his phone regarding his daughter’s soccer game when his wife slipped and fell nearly 140 feet to her death. But in court Thursday, Daniel Jarvis, a close family friend who viewed Harold Henthorn as a surrogate uncle, and lived with the Henthorn family for several months, said Harold Henthorn told him after the accident that he was actually talking on the phone to his daughter Haley when Toni fell.

“She just wasn’t there anymore,” Jarvis recounts Henthorn saying. “I was completely in shock,” said Jarvis....

Testimony is scheduled to continue next week."

Curiously, investigators say they also discovered Harold Henthorn took out a $400,000 life insurance policy in 2009 on Grace Rishell, the ex- wife of Henthorn’s deceased wife Lynn Henthorn’s brother. Harold Henthorn is listed as the primary beneficiary. The new documents don’t clarify why Henthorn was insuring Rishell or if she was aware of the policy taken out on her.

He took that policy out 14 YEARS after the first wife (Rishell's sister) died. Wow! She was a marked woman.

Thanks Snoopster! It is hard to believe that with all the suspicions of his first wife's accident (that lead to her death) were dismissed so quickly...from the locked doors on the passenger side, the jack inside the car, the footprint by the front bumper, etc. to one of the witnesses that HH had flagged down contacting LE to see if he had been arrested yet. So many years have passed now. I wonder if they had even checked with her doctor to see if she really did have those benign tumors that were going to be removed so she could conceive...his reason for getting those life insurance policies.

In a way, it reminds me of Drew Peterson's wives. Look where he eventually ended up. Hope it's the same for HH.
