GUILTY CO - Rita Gutierrez-Garcia, 34, found deceased, Longmont, 18 March 2018 *ARREST*

"Gutierrez-Garcia's mother, Diane, and sister, Jessica, spoke during the emotional news conference, pleading with her to come home.

"She's my daughter and I just need her back home," her mother said. "I need the inside of me that's just going crazy to stop."

"Rita, come home," she pleaded. "Your sisters are a wreck. I'm trying not to be but I am."

Her sister said she's "trying to be as strong as I can for the boys everyday but I need you, we need you.""

Yeah, I figured you knew they weren't related :) I'm pretty sure someone would have said something if she had a boyfriend...it's more than possible that she may have met someone at the club that night also. It says in multiple articles that her friends heard her on the phone. Saying what?

I haven't seen any of these friends post on FB regarding her being missing (I could be wrong)...maybe LE said they can't? If my friend went missing I would be throwing up posts all over.

"Witnesses and friends who spoke with police said there were other people in parking lot at that time that saw Gutierrez-Garcia and talked to her.

“We do not know who all those people are and we are asking that anybody who was in that parking lot that night (Saturday into Sunday morning), we’re asking that they call the Longmont Police Department and tell us what they saw,” said Satur."

Me too. Back prior to my sober days, I spent plenty of time in Longmont, and I speak fluent Spanish. There was always talk about how if you crossed the wrong people you would end up in an oil drum or by the railroad tracks. i was never sure if it was joking, but it stuck with me. I knew a lot of stuff back then. It may be different now, but I have a really bad feeling. It only takes a minute to step into the wrong persons car. I wish we knew more about the "friends" and her leaving with someone else.

While I don’t live in Longmont, I do live in the area and have several friends who live there.

They’ve told me that even though Longmont is growing and being built up, some parts of Longmont are sketchy af.

Specifically they had mentioned gang violence. I pray that Rita didn’t get mixed up with the wrong people that night.

Family of Rita Gutierrez-Garcia to hold prayer vigil for missing Longmont woman
Mother of 3 has not been seen since last weekend
http://www.timescall.com/longmont-local-news/ci_31758662/rita-gutierrez-garcia-prayer-vigil

"The family of Rita Gutierrez-Garcia will hold a prayer vigil this afternoon in Longmont's Thompson Park as police continue to search for the 34-year-old mother of three, who vanished a week ago.

The vigil, announced by the Longmont Police Department, will take place at 2 p.m. at the park, located at 420 Bross St., a couple blocks west of Main Street. Gutierrez-Garcia's mother, Diane Romero, and sister, Jessica Romero, both will be in attendance.

"They remain hopeful," Deputy Chief Jeff Satur wrote in an email."

"Longmont Police Deputy Chief Jeff Satur declined to say what police were looking for at the network of ponds and walking paths that lie west of Hover Street near Third Avenue.

"We were looking for evidence," he said. "That's all I can say."

Satur added that police are still treating Gutierrez-Garcia's case as a missing person/disappearance investigation and are "looking at all angles" and speaking with anyone who might have had contact with the missing woman.

"We will continue to work all leads and go from there," Satur said. "We are going to continue working until we figure out what happened."

He added that investigators have been working long hours in the search for Gutierrez-Garcia, and police are trying to rotate staff in and out in order to keep fresh eyes on the case."

"Her mother told reporters Gutierrez-Garcia was out celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends before she went missing, adding her disappearance was “nothing out of the ordinary” and that she remained with the same group of people through the end of the night.

The woman’s mother said Gutierrez-Garcia is attending her last semester of college and is studying to become a paralegal.

“I’m supposed to be the strong mom, so I’m not gonna (sic) cry, even though inside I’m breaking Rita, so please come home," said Diane.

Her family also said during the press conference Gutierrez-Garcia spends her free time with her three boys, ages 9, 13 and 18, and that she is very family-oriented.

The woman's family also told reporters she also likes jogging at McIntosh Lake in the mornings or at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Open Space."

Snip

"Her mother said Gutierrez-Garcia has tattoos on both arms, as well as on one of her shoulders and on her feet. She also has piercings on her ears and tongue. The missing woman's mother did not describe the tattoos in detail."
