NEW CANAAN — The New Canaan Police Department on Monday asked all residents with home surveillance video systems to check their footage from Wednesday, May 22 to Saturday May 25, to save any video that captures “vehicular activity” and to contact police, to assist in the search for Jennifer Dulos.

Jennifer Dulos was reported missing on Friday May 24th, hours after she was last seen dropping her five children off at New Canaan Country School.

Her 2017 black Chevrolet Suburban was found on Lapham Road at Waveny Park in New Canaan that day.

On Monday, FBI agents joined investigators in their search at Waveny Park, walking through rugged trails, looking for evidence. Police dogs, trained to search for electronic devices, joined in the search.

It’s a horrific thing that a person can be reduced to nothing more than a lifestyle obstacle. Obviously, personality disorders possibly play a huge role and he found his match and together they hatched this brilliantly- senselessly murder. These 2 are stunningly terrible people, not misguided, not simply taken over by a desperation but truly selfish, evil freaks. They have shattered 5 children’s lives whom will now have to rebuild a mom-less life- all for money for themselves, can you imagine them as good- sound parents? Gives me chills. Like so many horrific cases - There is no judgement or sentence long enough. I hope LE connects all the dots in this case and these two are in prison so each one of her children can feel safe from them and eventually rebuild and flourish after their world was shattered. These two scumbags don’t deserve to wear clothes. Moo

I really love your description of these two "evil freaks"-- for sociopathic personalities anyone that gets in the way of their desires is an obstacle that
must be disposed of, gotten rid of, etc. we have seen it time and time again.
But these two, for whatever reason, were extremely sloppy and stupid in carrying out this crime and hopefully LE can connect the dots and get these two off the streets forever.

When I think about how sloppy and downright dumb their disposal of bloody evidence was, how come they just didn't put it where they put the body, since, despite a lot of effort, it hasn't been found yet.
They must have planned it this way otherwise they would have done exactly this IMO- the house he was at for 2 hours (or where his phone was at) seems the likely spot but it’s 2 acres but by now I thought they would find something by now MOO

My assumption is they think they are outsmarting LE. Many of the items might be their own, or they feel can tie them to her murder. So they keep those items separate from the body. And they drive far away and all over to dispose of items.

I think those two were cut from the same cloth. Both psychopaths. I would guess that they planned on making it look like an accident and collecting life insurance money. Once a divorce starts in CT, you get something called a Notice of Automatic Orders. He was probably the beneficiary, or the kids were, to her life insurance. Arrogance, narcissism, and psychopathy made them think they could get away with this.

She may have felt this way, but his previous behavior is very important.

He was known for being a hothead, and Jennifer was clear in those divorce records that he was dangerous.

He probably didn’t require any coaxing.

Use of the 'doctored' vehicle plates dumped in the FedEx box have not come out in the story that I've found yet. They weren't on the vehicle caught on cctv. Could these plates have been used during the disposal of a body, or some previous illegal activity? Reckon LE would be running the fake numbers through the system pretty quick smart.
There was a trip to Florida by Fotis Dulos, which involved purchase of a firearm at one stage, perhaps another similar trip in more recent times?
I'm wondering if they were in another vehicle used to transport the body. That could also explain why they're asking for surveillance footage in NC - find the doctored license plate on tape, find the car that was used.

Norm Pattis ,the lawyer for Kyle Navin’s girlfriend said Troconis should disclose where the body is in exchange for 5 years
I’m listening to him on the radio.
I’m getting the impression, only from what we know thus far (and IMO) that he killed her and attempted to clean up. But the girlfriend only entered the picture for the disposal of the bagged items. She might know more, which in and of itself is not good or acceptable. If she was with him and the body—not good. I’d love to know where the girlfriend was that entire day.

I’m puzzled why she was going to dr appointments 3+ hours away. There have to be closer doctors. I lived in rural America and had my daughter at a hospital 3 hours away but that was the closest one that handled high risk. Also, If her appointment wasn’t until 1 then the soonest she would expect to be home would be 5 (not figuring traffic) but the nanny got to NYC by 7 meaning she would have had to leave by st least 4. Something had to have clued the nanny in that there was a problem early on. JMO

Lots of people go into NYC for doctors within her proximity.

She missed the 11 am and the 1 pm appointments. I think her friends and family were aware of her movements every day because of her situation with the STBX. Her missing the appointments would raise a red flags depending on the type of appointment and relationship with the office (first time appt., therapist, long time doctor, needed treatment, etc). She was active at the kid's school. Had a network of friends that probably knew her fears.

It was Friday of Memorial Day weekend so traveling from the city by car would have been awful due to traffic. She could take a train from Talmadge Hill or NC. We don't know where the doctors were....mid-town or Columbia Pres (in the 160s) or wherever, so driving the car may have been necessary. Either way taking the car or taking the train would still make her leaving around 3ish. I don't think we heard that she was taking a hired car (or if her mom had a driver) in and out of the city. If she was to meet a driver, then the alarm bells for her safety would have been more easily raised.

Her phone was with his at the house 13:37 from the warrant someone posted last night the snippet from it but they haven’t released the morning cell records- saving for the murder warrant I suspect JMO

I haven't seen anything that states LE is in possession of MT's
phone. They had a warrant for her phone records but no mention
of the physical phone itself.

Did she dispose of her phone? Also we haven't heard of the
timeline (via phone records) for MT, have we?

I know I read that her phone pings were with his that afternoon - he turned his phone over (wonder if he had 2?) but nothing about hers - apparently search warrants aren’t public so the only info we have is the arrest warrant and “leaks” reported in the media IMO

The doctors were likely specialists if she had two appointments in the city.

It doesn't make sense that with all of the areas that are rural and wooded that were available to him from New Canaan to Farmington that he would drive a body into a wealthy, residential, highly populated and highly used golf course and dispose of her body.
Not the body. This would've been the thirty pieces of evidence scavenger hunt.

I was thinking something like this. If she had an appt in NYC at 1, then I imagine the nanny would have had plans to get the kids after school.

I believe the nanny to be the hero in this instance for getting the children to the safety of their grandma. I am curious, though, after reading the documents released today, if it was a pre-arranged plan. According to the documents, JD's missed appointments were in NYC. Since one of the appointments was in the afternoon, maybe the plan was for the nanny to drive the children to grandma's after school to meet up with mom and grandma for an evening together.

Whatever the case, I am so thankful that the nanny was able to get them to the safety of their grandmother's apartment.

Or standing appointments--monthly or weekly. Many women I know see therapists and derm doctors on a regular basis.

ETA: Could she have been going to an appointment with someone like her mother? Or, meeting with an editor? I have continually thought she missed a doctor's appt for herself but had not thought about attending an appointment or the appointment being for business purposes--father's estate, editor, job interview.

I think she was more heavily involved than just getting rid of evidence. There are many individuals that will do anything for someone especially when it’s a significant other. We’ve seen so many cases where a second person got involved and called it a “declaration of love.”

Likely with him. It would've taken two people to easily leave her car in Waveny Park.
