"Wendi Adelson drove on Trescott Drive around noon the day Markel was shot. She said she thought the road, which by that time was cordoned off by crime scene tape, was closed because of a downed tree.
She went around and bought a bottle of Bulleit Rye Whiskey from the ABC on Thomasville Road to take to a party later that evening."

*Pretrial Hearing for both (@ 10:30am ET) - FL – Daniel Eric Markel (41) (July 18, 2014) - *Sigfredo Garcia (34) arrested & charged (5/25/16) with 1st degree murder, conspiracy & solicitation of murder. Plead not guilty. DP case.
Murder for Hire hitman. They split a $100K payoff for murder.
*Katherine Magbanua (32) (Garcia's wife) arrested (Oct. 2016) & charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy & solicitation of murder were brought together into one case on Tuesday (3/20/18). Plead not guilty.
KM has rejected several offers of immunity for her testimony.
6/21/18 Update: On 6/19 hearing SG’s lawyers failed to show. On 6/20 hearing DA gets to merge SG & KM trials together. Next pretrial hearing 9/18 & 10/4, trial starts 10/8/18.
Accomplice:
*Luis Rivera (33) charged with 1st degree murder. Took a plea deal (Oct. 2017) & plead to 2nd degree murder. Will testify against Garcia & Magbanua. Will receive 19-year sentence to run concurrently with his 12 year Federal time, which he is already serving.
POIs: Wendi Adelson (ex-wife of Markel), her bro Charlie, mom Donna Sue Adelson (68) & father Harvey Adelson.

A circuit judge on Tuesday agreed to postpone the trials of Sigfredo Garica and Katherine Magbanua because one of Magbanua's attorneys has been battling a "life-threatening medical condition."
The trial had been scheduled to start next month but will likely be delayed until at least March."

Wow. I thought there would be no way these guys would be able to pull off another delay of game. A life threatening condition, huh? It seems like the victim also experienced a life threatening condition most likely thanks to the defendants. Where's his justice after four years of waiting?

how long has Kawass known about this "medical condition"? did she purposely wait until the last minute to reveal it to the court in order to get another delay? DeCoste can't handle this case after all this time? delay tactics to buy more time and kick the can down the road for the alleged masterminds as directed by the chief legal puppeteer???
10 to 1 it is cosmetic in nature!

4.31 Disbarment is appropriate when a lawyer, without the informed consent of the
client(s):
a) engages in representation of a client knowing that the lawyer’s interests are
adverse to the client’s with the intent to benefit the lawyer or another, and
causes serious or potentially serious injury to the client; or
b) simultaneously represents clients that the lawyer knows have adverse interests
with the intent to benefit the lawyer or another, and causes serious or
potentially serious injury to a client; or
c) represents a client in a matter substantially related to a matter in which the
interests of a present or former client are materially adverse, and knowingly
uses information relating to the representation of a client with the intent to
benefit the lawyer or another, and causes serious or potentially serious injury
to a client.
