So according to RR's testimony they saw the police car across the street from where they were pulling out and never approached the officer to tell him what happened. I missed that. I hope someone on the jury caught it. jmo

Good pic, thank you. I hope the crowd today is similar., and bigger!

I read where security has been heightened around the courthouse and the JSO has made preparations for possible rioting. I noticed the gentleman in plain clothes in the courtroom this AM, making sure the members of the Davis family were safely escorted out of the courtroom.

I really hope there is no violence regardless of outcome. It serves no purpose at all. JMO

I agree violence serves no purpose, but in a small way I can also see how those people feel helpless in their minds. Jmo

ciao

The entire rational population should feel helpless!

To me! when people start talking about the protesters and the black people there chanting and oh, look the black panthers are there, and there will probably be riots, etc. it totally minimizes the whole thing and starts making it about something it's not. There were white people out there, was pointed out, so why only focus on the black people that are there, chanting in their threatening manner? It starts to make it about those black people making it about race again and whatever else. Who cares? People protest outside of high profile cases all the time. Who cares?

I'd be afraid to live in FL. afraid someone would shoot me if I looked at them wrong. No joke.

Yes, people do protest. Example: Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias, just to name a few. jmo

<blockquotes>RR spoke about it in her testimony. About the 20 minute mark in this vid.

It was also mentioned by a customer in the Gate video (sorry, don't have that link handy). </blockquotes>

Glad you found this, and what Linda said, if Dunn was in fear for his life you don't roll down window and engage and you turn to police that were clearly seen. This man is guilty as sin.

Okay can anyone explain why that cop did not hear the 911 dispatch if he was right there on a traffic stop? He could have been near alot sooner than when they arrived on site.

Truth. Like I said, if the community feels "uncomfortable", like that tweet said, if the community does not like the presence of the black panthers, or black protestors, then the community themselves should be out there making it crystal clear that they will not tolerate this kind of racist/hair-trigger violence anymore.

I know it's early in the day, but where's the bartender with some bloody marys? :)

Agree. And I look at people wrong all the time! Especially the types likely to be carrying a concealed weapon, like MD.

Ha!

I make sure, if I look at someone..I smile and say "good morning" lol

And some people are still rude & miserable!

these days i engage no one...not even a honk...you simply do not know what will trigger someone off...what that person may be on in terms of drugs or other and whether they have a gun. I have taught my daughter the same

:waiting:

I'm beginning to think there will be no verdict today. :sigh:

Perhaps :bigfight: in the jury room. :giggle:

Iirc, from reading his report, he was across the street at the Publix arresting someone for a DUI. He heard the shots, had to place the person he was arresting into the back of his patrol car, and then proceed to the scene. He parked his patrol car to the side, with the DUI suspect in the back. He was on scene until relieved by Commanding Officer. He then had to take the DUI suspect, back to the Publix parking lot and continue the arrest.

I have a big mouth problem, lol. I am not just always looking at people wrong, I'm yelling at people wrong! My husband tells me all the time I'm gonna get shot one of these days. I tell him lucky we live in Mass then, where thank god we don't have a gun culture. because we are all angry and short tempered here, and if there was a gun culture to go with that the highways would look like the stereotypical Wild West shoot out every day!

That's not fair either. There is no age or race requirement for stupidity. IMO

I am one who does believe that race was a factor to Michael Dunn's decision to go totally berserk and start shooting.

I agree that there is no age or race requirement for stupidity...it comes in all colors. The makeup of the jury is what it is and I do think that age and race will totally influence how you think about things. Here to hoping that this jury does what is right.

To me, it's just as race mongering as someone playing the race card when things don't go their way. And I really don't think those protesters are playing the race card. I've had it.

:floorlaugh: I think there is fighting in the jury room too. I'm beginning to think "hung jury" on first charge.
