CMDR OBrien just reported LaBeet was not in the car - the people from the car may be relatives or a friend - supposedly LaBeets brother and his family.

That is what Channel 7 news is reporting as well..

Its his brother.... I am not sure if it was an intentional distraction like the women at the apt. deliberately giving the wrong name to the police...

From what I have gathered... Many people saw this guy driving and saw the resemblance..
The police followed into a mall parking lot in an undercover car..
SO its possible just the guys brother who had no idea.

If they were in the car they may have not heard it on the Radio ...
I know my local Keys Radio has not reported it..

This guy must have people helping him. Of course, it did help him when LE put out the wrong information of the suspect to begin with!

I really doubted he would get out of shooting 4 officers alive...
His only chance really would have been if it had been him with the woman and 2 children.

I wish they would have had the chance to simply ask him why before they shot him. However, I am glad they got him and it is over. What a nightmare for people in that Florida community!
