Loved ones search for missing Smyrna man

Worried loved ones are desperately searching for a Smyrna man they said disappeared on his birthday.
Family and friends said 35-year-old Howard Sewell Jr. has not been seen or heard from since May 29, something out of his character.

Marietta police and the Paulding County sheriff’s department arrested Omar Savior, 21, and Thadeshia Clark, 20, in connection with the killing of 35-year-old Howard Sewell...

They are both charged with felony murder, armed robbery and concealing a death.

A Cobb grand jury has indicted five individuals in connection to the death of a Smyrna man who went missing in late May and whose body was found in Paulding County.

Thadeshia Bettyann Clark, Omar Rasheed Savior, Abby Constance Hanna, Christopher Dorian Hanna and Jonathan Matthew Wilkes were indicted in connection to the murder of 35-year-old Howard L. Sewell Jr., an employee of Van Michael Salon in Sandy Springs who had been missing since leaving his Smyrna apartment on May 29.

Woman pleads guilty in death of hair salon employee

Thadeshia Clark pleaded guilty to malice and felony murder in the 2016 death of Howard Sewell.

She was sentenced to life in prison.

Second suspect pleads guilty to murder of Cobb County man

Police said 35-year-old Howard Sewell was shot to death on May 30, 2016 after being lured to an appartment to be robbed. His body was then dumped behind an auto shop in Paulding County.

Tuesday, police say 23-year-old Omar Rasheed Savior from Smyrna pleaded guilty to malice and felony murder in the case of Sewell's death. The judge sentenced him to life in prison.
