George A admits losing money to email scam

Me too. Who in the world falls for email scams, seriously?

When I used to work at the bank, I would have to deal with people who had fallen victim to this scam. But, I'm not buying that GA was a victim of this. He has LE background which makes this more smell like . IMO, the victim game isn't working on anything else so he is releasing this information in hopes someone thinks they are the victim and so the donation$ will come flowing in.

I don't buy the e-mail scam either.
And how could he keep it from CA? Me, if I thought there was money to be had, I'd be telling my hubby that we'll be rich soon.
GA goes into too much detail on a lot of things. Detail that isn't asked for. Hmmm.

And if CA didn't know about him lying about the internet gambling, she does now.....

This is unbelievably sad to me that he would fall for this in the first place and then not share it with his wife. Speaks about the family dynamics. But to add insult to injury this poor dude has to have his terrible judgement plastered all the media.
wowza, imo it has nothing to do with Caylee, but just more dirt.

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, the release of all of these tapes might scare future crime suspects to speak the truth during interrogation. We're hearing ALL of it.

Why is everyone in this family so scared of the wrath of CA? KC is more worrried about it than about her child, GA lies to her about pizza boxes, chasing KC's car, financial matters, and LA jumps when she is a damsel in distress. I just don't get it

Have you never heard the saying, "When Momma's not happy, nobody's happy!".

OK...now we have established the standard (Nigerian email scam) over which Casey had to pass in order to dupe her parents into believing her tales.

Oh I agree, it doesnt make any sense! Of course, not everyone is born with what I call "the Common Sense Gene", or plain old street smarts. I've seen it even in highly intelligent people with several degrees after their names. You cant learn it. Its an instinct you have.

This loss of money is now going to make me go look in the 'computer forensics' release from way back...am I right that they found some file in the laptop or home computer under name of 'Bobby' searching for escort services?..... hmmm hmm hmm:waitasec:

I can't believe this... What is it with these people? No semi-intelligent person would believe those emails. Did he respond to phishing emails too asking for bank info? I'm stunned really. This family has so much to hide and are trying so hard to APPEAR to be a certain way and they are not.. they just are not like most people.

Are you saying it's not hard to believe that the A's fell for KC's crap since GA thought he was going to get rich from a Nigerian company depositing funds into his personal account?

ETA..I'm assuming the emails were of that nature of course LOL.

ITA..my SIL is a fine example..PHD, the whole nine. Smart as a whip, common sense smart? NOT HARDLY. I see it a lot with those of advanced education in particular. You are definitely not taught common sense it's inert IMO.

I think he is saying, that since KC was good at using computers and obviously lying that she might have made up the email. Heck she made up those emails about her work. I could see KC doing this so she could have some money. I wonder if they could trace this and find out if she did this or not. It would be interesting.

ITA...I think they are wanting donations. In the house tour video, Cindy pointed to Christmas presents that are being sent in for Caylee. I found it strange that several were in red sacks that looked exactly the same. My first thought was, "Cindy bought these in hopes that others will feel sorry and will send presents".
I am beginning to think this family did a lot of this their whole life.
