'Victoria Heuermann, the daughter of suspected Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann, went back to the block of their home Wednesday for the first time since the latest investigation began on Monday.'
'On Wednesday, the 27-year-old was seen picking up her car that had been left on the block since Monday'

He had to camouflage his expanded interest in True Crime, as he certainly even at home couldn't stop to speak about it. His own crime scene photos he wasn't able to show (certainly he would have loooved it!), so he had a non-fiction book instead, openly on the table for all to see. For their swinger-friends quite ordinary inventory, I assume. Like a book about the art of painting or sculpture or the field of horticulture. - IMO and speculation.
Totally agreed on this. Did they only get this book on the second search? Where was this book on the first search?

Daughter of Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect makes rare sighting

Here's some pics. I wonder why it's her mother's lawyer accompanying her and not her own lawyer. All these lawyers seem enmeshed. MOO.

I'm seeing at a few sources that they took out a fairly large dog bed, which would be a hair magnet. It's a pretty big bed, too, did they have a dog? Also seeing them taking away a pink backpack, maybe like a kid's backpack, but could be adult, I guess. Stacks upon stacks of boxes. It's like they're emptying it out completely. ??

I hope LE finds even more evidence than they imagined with this search!

LE took the book on the first search, then returned it later. Recently, when they were in the house, they were surprised to see it again, sitting on the kitchen table.
????? NOT a good sign. Without the context of the case behind it, it looks like an unusual book someone just "might" have, I'm not really sure why, but I mean I'd extend benefit of the doubt for sure. But WITH the context, that's looking way too interesting in a very bad way. And remember the large poster of the battered woman they initially found at the house?

There were one or even two storage rooms in the vicinity, when the first SW was accomplished. Do you think, AE further rented the storage rooms? Or did she stuff all the things into their home, when she was getting it partly back from police? (In this case, the police were certainly happy to search everything twice.)

If they ''don't understand why the home is being searched and items taken, then they need more books about crime besides the ones with grisly pictures in them, imo, speculation.

''It’s stressful,” Bob Macedonio, who represents Heuermann’s wife and children, said outside the Massapequa Park home as cops scoured the disheveled house for a third straight day Wednesday.

“Their lives have been turned upside down, destroyed,” Macedonio said. “Their personal property has been taken, obviously for legal purposes. But they don’t understand that. They don’t comprehend that. This is something well beyond their comprehension.
“This is again, a complete shock,” he added.''

Why would it be above their comprehension??? Their lives have hardly been destroyed! Their anger should be towards RH and not the police. MOO

Uh, totally agreed. I would be hard-pressed to find people that should be more grateful to LE than AE. She ought to be on her knees in gratitude. This man, this husband RH, may well have murdered many, many young women. I'm finding the reaction pretty strange, myself.

Yes, it's stressful. Their lives have been turned upside down. I get that. But at least they still have their lives. Where's the gratitude? Because THIS guy, RH, looks guilty as sin. We'll have to wait for the trial, I guess a plea deal's not that attractive when life without parole's assured either way. It really makes me grit my teeth over the Peacock deal, though. I mean... hello??? It looks like he murdered many women. Her "reactions" are starting to creep me out a little. Seriously.

Oh give me a break, save your shock. In all likelihood RH, their husband and father, viciously murdered how many people and affected how many innocent lives of their children and families by his sick, serial killer actions? What about THEIR stress, pain and having their live turned upside down?

RH's family 'comprehends' enough to know it's a story worth $1M to the peacock. It's not uncommon for the police to revisit and re-search crime scene, especially if new information is developed. As far as the cops scouring the disheveled house, well it was that way long before LE zeroed in on RH. It didn't get dilapidated and horde cluttered by them.

I am not victim blaming AS and certainly not the adult children of RH, but let's save the shock and compassion for the real victims who have lost their lives by his hand.

That's an awful quote, what is that lawyer thinking??? I understand the cognitive dissonance of not being able to comprehend how this man/husband/father that you've known for years is a monster, and even holding out hope that maybe LE got it wrong, but they're whining about their property being searched again? Boo freakin' hoo for you! Let LE complete their investigation and blame RH for your property troubles.

Yes! ^^^ And how about the four dead victims and their families and children? Have their lives been destroyed? How about the other associated victims and others still possibly missing or unaccounted for, if related to the LISK or GILGO case(s)? How about Shannan Gilbert and her family whose case and investigation led to some of these discoveries?

Maybe the lives of RH and his family have been inconvenienced perhaps? Disrupted? Interrupted?

As to the apparent ‘reappearance’ of that book, my first thought…… is someone preparing for commentary for a docu-drama that is envisioned? I better stop here. MOO

The adult childrens' attorney did speak briefly on the new search on the local news yesterday. He appeared to be outside of the courthouse building. I wouldn't read too much into Macedonio escorting her. The childrens' attorney might just not have been available and Macedonio offered. MOO

BBM. A floor plan you say? I'm sure most WS'ers remember BTK's floor plan (BDSM dungeon)?

Floor plan or floor fan? I'm confused. Article is behind a paywall for me.

Yes. Macedonia seems to want to be up front and center throughout this. IMO

This is cold but RH was not a family man with a sick side business.

RH was a sick business with a side family. The business, a complex and sinister need to play Russian roulette with sex works, choosing some for death.

IMO his family was a tool, no more than a mask or costume in order to get away with his business.

No different than BDK and his family.

What the families get to do is spend their next years realizing that what was there real, daily life for the past decades was someone else's trifling. As if they were mere puppets in someone else's performance. Used. Taken advantage of.

Reeled in, dependency created, public cover for basement debauchery.

And if it takes them a great deal of time to get there, I can give them that. They didn't sign up for this.

I hope LE unearths every last victim of RH and his reign of terror. They had names.

I wish we could erase his.

Megnut,

I understand why you might feel this way but I waffle on this issue. At times I feel like they're just acting like a family man. Other times I truly believe they have the ability to love. After watching I'll be gone in the dark on MAX the interviews with De Angelo's family members state they felt loved by "Uncle Joe". And with Israel Keyes he had a daughter who's upbringing wasn't stable until she moved in with him. IK was her rock and truly did care about her. I think someone once said not all psychopaths are serial killers but all serial killers are psychopaths. Psychopaths have an innate ability to push their emotions down under the surface which then allows them to love family members and push the rage and hate down. And vice versa it enables them to push love and thoughts of family down to allow the hate and violence to surface. I don't know if RH is this way but I could see it being possible. JMO
