*Motion Hearing (@ 1:30pm Hawaiian-Aleutian Time) - HI - Telma Boinville (51) (Dec. 6, 2017, Oahu) *Hailey Kai Dandurand (20/now 25) arrested (12/13/17), charged & arraigned (12/18/17) with 2nd degree murder, 4 counts kidnapping , 1st degree burglary, 1 count of 2nd degree unauthorized entry into motor vehicle & 1 count of felony unauthorized possession of confidential personal information. Plead not guilty. Bond $500K. Bond reduction denied on 8/25/20.
Telma’s 8 yr. old daughter was found bound & gagged with duct tape.
Trial began with jury selection on 7/10/23. Jury selection ended on 7/17/23. Juror #9 excused & alternate #1 in his place.
Trial began on 7/18/23. State rested their case on 7/25/23. Defense rested their case on 7/27/23.

The two convicted killers of a 51-year-old North Shore woman at a vacation rental on Dec. 7, 2017, were given extended sentences today in Circuit Court for second-degree murder, kidnapping, and burglary.

Judge Rowena Somerville sentenced Hailey Dandurand for second-degree murder to life with the possibility of parole, an extended term of 20 years for burglary, an extended term of life with the possibility of parole, one year for unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and an extended term of 10 years for unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

The judge sentenced Stephen Brown to life with the possibility of parole for the murder conviction, 20 years for kidnapping and an extended term of 20 years for burglary. His sentencing was delayed due to a subsequent Supreme Court ruling that affected the sentencing.

More than five years after the murder of a woman who was cleaning a Hawaiian vacation rental, two people were sentenced in her brutal death earlier this week.


Stephen Brown was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for murder in connection with the death of Telma Boinville, Honolulu's Department of the Prosecuting Attorney said. He also received 20 years for kidnapping a child and burglary.


Hailey Dandurand, his girlfriend at the time of the slaying, was given a life sentence with the possibility of parole for the murder and kidnapping, according to the prosecuting attorney. She also received an extended term of 20 years for burglary in the first-degree as well as 10 years for unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
