Hunter Biden indicted, federal gun charges, Sept 2023

A corporation owned and controlled by Hunter Biden made several direct monthly payments to President Biden beginning in 2018, according to bank records released by the House Oversight Committee on Monday.

The subpoenaed bank records obtained by National Review reveal Owasco PC established a monthly payment of $1,380 to President Biden beginning in September 2018. The committee says the payments establish a direct benefit Biden received from his family’s foreign business dealings, despite Biden’s claims that he has never benefitted from or been involved in his son’s ventures.

And why would payments made to Joe Biden in 2018 matter anyway?

Wild scene inside House Oversight. Nancy Mace attacks Hunter Biden, who showed up at hearing.“You are the epitome of White privilege. … You have no balls. … I think Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now and go to jail,” she said

Andy Biggs scolds his colleagues to “not act like a bunch of nimrods.”

— Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) tells GOP he’d vote to hold Hunter Biden in contempt if they support amendment to add names who didn’t comply with congressional subpoenas

“Here’s the subpoena to Rep. Scott Perry … Mark Meadows … Jim Jordan … Mo Brooks … Biggs … McCarthy.”

DOJ has charged the informant who provided derogatory informaton about Hunter and Joe Biden with "false statements" and obstruction.

Alexander Smirnov, 43, is facing charges in connection with lying to the FBI and creating false records.

Indictment says claims were "fabrications" and the source "changed his story.. and promoted a new false narrative" after "he met with Russian officials"

"As alleged in the indictment, the events that Smirnov first reported to the FBI Agent in June 2020 were fabrications." See the indictment:

President Biden made a surprise nighttime visit to the Delaware home of Hallie Biden on Sunday — just before she’s due to serve as one of the most important witnesses at first son Hunter Biden’s federal trial for alleged gun crimes.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates told The Post that the president didn’t discuss the trial with Hallie Biden during the visit.

“No,” he replied. “He visited her because of the approaching 9th anniversary of Beau’s passing.”

While I can't say for sure what Joe Biden's actual motive was to visit his daughter in law right before she will testify in his son's trial, it does make people wonder why.

A personal phone call on Beau Biden's death anniversary would have probably been a better choice.

So not a good move IMO.
