Well, that video on twitter.... sorry I can't link it but it's been linked several times...

The shoes... they aren't far off from what I would have imagined the shoes being

The walk... it seems like his body position is not far off

That still of him in the green and white stripes.... that tilt of the head seems oddly familiar

And the moment you realize that you have covered your face for the cameras, but there is a massive mirror on the side you have uncovered.... priceless! :) Sorry, buddy. I can still see you!!!!

And I didn't hear him talk. It sounded almost like a judge or a TV cause it continued before and after the female escorting him in talked.

It doesn't look like False Reporting has to do with a gun purchase. It is incidents like false fire alarm, false report of a crime, providing false ID to LE. I'm wondering if he got pulled over in Georgetown, CO and gave false ID to police? But it he did that one would think he'd get hauled off to jail, where they'd figure out who he was and that he had a warrant from Marion County Indiana. MOO
Here is the Colorado code for what constitutes False Reporting:
http://www.lpdirect.net/casb/crs/18-8-111.html

Thank you for the link. I'm thinking his July offense might be this one from the list:

(d) He or she knowingly provides false identifying information to law enforcement authorities.

Well, the charges should be public soon, I would assume and then we'll know.

Colorado's intimidation suspect from Indiana is no stranger to crime
Watkins was riding on a mountain road northeast of Woodland Park when he was killed by a .22-caliber bullet, according to a news release earlier this month and a report by the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Police found a .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle inside Nations' red sedan, according to the affidavit.
-.-.-.-
Indiana State Police have described the teens' killer as being between 5-feet, 6-inches tall and 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and they guessed his weight as being between 180 and 220 pounds. Hoosier police said the teens' killer has reddish brown hair.
According to Colorado records, Daniel Nations is 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 169 pounds. But a Florida Sex Registry listing for Nations indicates he weighed 190 pounds then.
-.-.-.-
He's a convicted felon out of Morgan County, Indiana, where he beat up Katelyn Nations in December 2015, according to Indiana court documents.
Felons in Indiana are not allowed to have firearms.

RE: the difference in weight. That could be attributed to it being 7 months after the murders + him living out of his car since after May 12th (when he left his last known address in Indiana). That would be the perfect time of year to drive out West and live in campgrounds, going virtually undetected. A lot of people have done that in the past. The national forests in the West are vast and easy to "disappear" into, if one wants. My husband always packs his handgun in plain sight across his chest when we hike. It doesn't matter if we are in what is considered to be a "remote" area or not. You just never know if/when you're going to run into an ax wielding maniac! Sadly, these are the times we are living in, my friends.

Is it just me, or does this guy look different in every one of his photos? And the latest photo, with his shorter hair, tilted head and raised eyebrows look IMO as if he is deliberately changing his appearance for the camera.

The older mug shot with the orange jumpsuit and a pic pulled from social media with his kid look much more like the sketch, IMO. IF this is him, he 1) lost weight, 2) grew out all of his facial hair, and 3) significantly cut his hair. JMO
And didn't LE specifically ask us to look out for that sort of thing? A change in appearance?

In this most recent mugshot, I wish he weren't making that face - raising his eyebrows and tilting his head. Wondering if he's doing that deliberately. Perhaps he saw the POI sketch, and was making an effort to 'not look like that' this time, on this mugshot.

Also, in several photos of him (other than mugshots) I noticed he has a long crease or scar on forehead and divot between his eyes (can see in a few photos in certain lighting). Wonder if in the poi sketch, that white spot between his eyes, is alluding to something like that?

Also #2, In a couple of pics, he seems to not use, or has limited movement on the left side of his mouth. Half-smile with right side of mouth slighly open, but left side lips closed. Not that that means anything - just noticed it.

I wonder if he is being looked into for the disappearance of Joseph Keller who was found deceased off of a mountainous trail while visiting Colorado. He has a thread here.

So, maybe that's a hatchet in the blue coat pocket BG was wearing?

http://wane.com/2017/09/28/possible-break-in-delphi-double-homicide/

For reasons yet to be fully explained, Colorado investigators noticed “similarities” between the shooting of the mountain biker and the deaths of 13 year old Abby Williams and 14 year old Liberty German. They went missing on February 13th. Their bodies were found February 14th on the American Hiking Trail near Delphi.

Hope they are looking into Joseph Keller, too, Blue Skies, and Elizabeth and Lyric.

ETA: American Hiking Trail?

new poster alert: just stopping to add this tidbit: I looked him up on mycase.in.gov - he's been arrested in numerous indiana counties since 2014. Interestingly, new felony charges were filed against him yesterday out of Johnson County (for failure to register as a convicted SO)

May be completely unrelated...
Welcome. Can you provide link for these new charges? TIA.

I haven't seen this posted here yet, though I could've missed it. Two-page article with some new info about DN - like about his past offenses:

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/...terest-in-the-murders-of-libby-abby-in-delphi

"State police are calling Nations a “person of interest” in the case, but it’s a title they say has been used many times over the past several months and has yet to lead to an arrest.

Sgt. Riley said Nations is just one of dozens of “suspects” they have checked out as part of their investigation into the girls’ murders.

“This is not something that is just done this one time, it’s been done over and over,” said Sgt. Riley. “We’ve had some Kokomo incidents, we’ve had some Logansport incidents, Lafayette Police Department. We’ve had out of state departments contact us.”"

Took longer then we wanted but at least a Person of Interest now...

[emoji237]Always My Own Opinion[emoji4]
Actually here is a full quote
In contrast, some news reports have described Nations as a possible person of interest, but Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said Thursday that anyone police have interviewed in the past seven months could arguably fit that label."Everybody as we've gone along, I guess in my mind, is considered a person of interest," Leazenby said. "It's just the awareness of this guy [Nations] is heightened now. So to call him a suspect, I can't say that. But again, I'm going under the basic theory of everyone we talk to is a person of interest. We are interested in seeing what they were up to on Feb. 13."

"The first question we need to answer is was Nations even in Indiana on February 13, 2017?

The answer:*Probably.

Based on court records, we can say he was definitely in Indiana throughout much of the year and even the two years prior.

According to the Morgan County Jail,*Nations was incarcerated from February 24 – 28 of this year.*That’s 10 days after Libby and Abby were murdered.

He appeared in court on March 6 and again on May 29."
