CSI SHIRT. Kyron was dressed in a CSI shirt that AM. I never knew this before now.

Did he dress himself at age 6? Do we know? If his primary female caregiver at that time dressed him in the shirt the AM of the science fair, isn't it a huge red flag?

Another thing-Would his dad would go along with a 6 year old watching TV shows like that? Some company made and sold the shirt, so obviously there was either a demand or it was a promo item, but I can't imagine letting a 6 year old watch overt violence on TV.
I want to cry. My son wore a Sesame Street graphics shirt at age 6.

How do you know it was sex trafficking and not just photos of kids abducted by lone pedos?

Sex trafficking rings are Websleuths' favourite hobby horse. That kind of stuff does happen but to think Terri dropped Kyron off to traffickers on a speedboat in Sauvie Island is within the realm of fantasy, imo.
You're right, I don't know for a fact that's what happened. I stated it's my theory. Likewise, I presume you don't know for a fact it didn't happen that way. And respectfully, trafficking is not the realm of fantasy. 33 missing children rescued in Los Angeles trafficking operation

Maybe my original post wasn't as clear as it could have been. I never said I believe Terri dropped off Kyron to traffickers. It's a fact that she tried to hire someone to kill Kaine. IMO it's not such a great leap to think she or DeeDee might have passed off Kyron on Sauvie Island to someone who would "get rid of" him. They may not have even known he would be trafficked.

Why would she pass Kyron off to someone else? She's already done the hard part, smuggling him outta the school. The more people involved, the more likely it is she's implicated in Kyron's disappearance.

I'm only interested in finding out what happened based on the facts. Anyway, I believe this has run its course, so let's bygones be bygones.

I watched the 48 Hours episode last night on the Christie Wilson case. I thought of Desiree while watching it, I wish something like that would happen for her.

And Christie's case was held in Auburn where I was living at the time. I did my "reporting" from the court room for the case here at WS! :) He sure gave me the "creeps"....

It's speculated that it was his favorite shirt. The whole family visited the CSI Experience in Vegas (I do believe) and I think I found a museum in Portland had a CSI exhibit at the time also. It was also speculated that CSI was a favorite show of TMH. I do find it peculiar that he is wearing that shirt after having one small interaction with TMH. I mean if she had this planned out, I could see her telling him to wear it.

MOO a possible scenario. MOO Kyron ran back to the car needing something for his display. Seizing the opportunity step mom left with him. When no call came from the school about being absent, took a chance a lot like Gannon Stauch.

I can envision this. TH says run to the truck to get whatever you forgot and I will stand here and watch you. Unless whatever was missing from the presentation was an afterthought for Kyron and a forethought of TH’s. I wonder if Kayne ever reviewed the tree frog display and noticed anything missing from the presentation even a plastic tree frog? Idk. I hate this case as it eats away at me. Heartbreaking!

At Fred Meyers, Terri was in alibi building mode. As I recall, she left Kiara in the truck, so it only makes sense that she would pick a parking spot where nobody would notice that a baby was left in the truck, unattended. The entire purpose for her to take the truck, was because a white truck is probably the most common color because they don't heat up like say, black trucks. So they are everywhere. On the other, red mustangs are not everywhere. They are rare. If someone were to notice a red mustang on Sauvie Island, parked next to a vehicle similar to as might have been witnessed in the Skyline parking lot, then she would be toast. So she concocted a false story to get the generic white truck in order to meet up with her accomplice during the 1 1/2 hours of missing time, imo.
Now, have you ever gone to a grocery story to get a medicine. Even if you knew where the aisle was, it could take you 10 minutes searching back and forth, up and down, for a medicine that supposedly was not there. But her time stamped receipt was for something like 9:13 AM. She left the inside of the school at 8:45 AM, walked to the truck, buckled in Kiara, negotiated out of the parking lot, drove the 10 minutes to Fred Meyer, found a parking spot, walked the extra distance to the front door. Now we are at about 20 minutes, or 9:10 AM. But instead of finding the medicine aisle and searching in vain for 15 minutes, Terri walked directly to the checkout, picked up something handy like gum and scored her 9:13 AM time stamped receipt. Terri made no attempt to find any medicine because she was in alibi building mode because she knew that something very bad was in the process of happening at that very moment to Kyron, and she had to have an alibi to put her elsewhere. Terri lied about searching for medicine and failed to allow enough time in placing her at the cash register at 9:13 AM. Now that she had that alibi, she could then go elsewhere and get some medicine, if she in fact really intended to get it for Kiara. At the next stop, by pure luck, she stumbled into a second opportunity to build her alibi. Where she met a health club employee that she barely knew, and essentially forced her to see Kyron's photo that she just took and went on to try and convince that women of how much she loved Kyron. Terri was still in alibi building mode because she knew with great certainty, that something very bad was happening to Kyron at that very moment. And she could use a second alibi, if it was handed to her like this. So she grabbed it.

Here is my opinion of the whole story that day, that appears to dot all the I's and cross all the T's, regarding the evidence that was not easily found on the internet.

Terri was apparently a known criminal by the Roseburg police department. Terri served as a substitute teacher at the school, so she knew how the teachers reacted when children were missing, and how to scam the emergency system by sewing confusion on the day before, by telling the school that Kyron had a (suspicious) all day doctors appointment on Friday. But the Doctor's appointment could apparently never be found. The reason why Terri did not personally kill Kyron is because although she may be a cold hearted sociopath, she is not so cold as to be able to personally kill him in cold blood and not be personally affected by it enough to not show guilt. She wanted to have deniability of both killing Kyron and knowing where he is, so she could beat a lie detector test (but she failed them), among other things. If one were to pick one point in that day, where Teri at least briefly showed some sign of a significant change in demeanor, it would be just after she had disappeared for 1 1/2 hours and showed up at her fitness shop at 11:40 AM, with an allegedly sick child in tow. Prior to that point in time, she initially was consumed with rushing to a Fred Meyer checkout to get a time stamped receipt as an alibi but failed to allow enough time to actually perform a thorough search for the cold medicine that she was seeking. A little later, Teri was still consumed with adding to her alibi by proving how much she loved Kyron to an almost perfect stranger by showing Kyron's picture taken that morning, to her fitness shop employee that she barely knew. She was not shocked at this point in time. However, this effort to provide alibi's for that morning, proved that she knew that something had happened to Kyron that morning. The 1 1/2 hours of missing time started after the second alibi effort in the parking lot, during which she somehow could not remember exactly where she was driving the white truck. After the 1 1/2 hours of missing time, she showed up at her fitness shop where the desk attendants had described her to the effect as "out of it", as if she had only recently been emotionally shocked. So during the 1 1/2 hours of missing time, she became emotionally shocked in some manner. Since it is not likely that she was hauling a dead Kryon around in the back of Kaine's anonymous white truck all morning without being shocked, she therefore was not hauling a dead Kyron around in the truck, or at all. Additional facts are that Kyron was last seen exiting the SE exit of the school with a strange man who had asked to use Kyron to help him bring in a child's display, when all displays had already been brought in. Also, Kyron had only then been recently asked by someone that he trusted (Terri) to wait near that SE exit so that he could get a ride to an all day doctors appointment (that Terri had just told him about, but could never be traced to any doctor)with a stranger. Between when Teri told Kyron about the appointment (that she had somehow forgot to tell him about up to that point in time) and when Kyron appeared at the SE exit, Kyron left a breadcrumb by telling his friend that he had an all day Doctor's appointment. Since Kyron had extremely poor vision, meeting a stranger was problematic, so he had been instructed by someone that he trusted (Teri) to wait inside for the stranger to come inside and escort him outside. That duel purpose strategy here also introduced a third party to the mystery to take the heat off of Teri, who then was last seen escorting Kyron outside, that law enforcement could later blame as the abductor. Putting all of this together, then during that 1 1/2 hours of missing time, Terri had met up with that stranger by driving Kaine's anonymous white truck instead of her rare red mustang that would stand out, and viewed a digital photograph of a dead Kyron that shocked her, whereupon she paid that stranger money for completion of the job that she had hired him for, using the $20 bills that she had been siphoning from the families ATM account. (Kaine complained that she went through money like water.) Since she would not want to have a policeman pull up at the meeting place, and ask if everything was OK, with a dead body in the stranger's trunk, Terri had to be viewing a digital photograph on a camera that was not a phone, of a very dead Kyron with probably a plastic bag taped over his head, and not an alive Kyron that was simply being constrained for abduction. Which then caused her to go into emotional shock, until her workout at the club restored her body to conditions that were not so incriminating and got the blood flow returning to her face. Also by focusing on weight lifting, she could more easily forget that what had shocked her, had ever happened, and that she could then say with a straight face that she did not (directly) kill Kyron and had no idea (exactly) where he was. Although arranging for his death is equivalent to killing him in any court of law. That is how Terri can live today, by denying that she killed Kyron and having no idea where he is, when she goes onto TV shows in order to try to convince the public of her innocence. Terri was never asked on TV, whether she hired somebody to either abduct or kill Kyron, nor whether she knew approximately where his body was disposed of. The most likely place where Kyron's body was left was weighted down in the river between Sauvies Island and St. Helens. Sauvies Island was picked as a meetup point because the Police have no reason to cross that bridge and look at farmland. Kyron's body slowly decayed in the river but his spirit lives on. All in my opinion.

This is really, really good. Thank you for all the time you put into it, and for sharing.

There are a couple of points you state as fact that we haven't actually seen stated as such to date, but it certainly makes sense of them.

If only Kyron could be found, I think LE would have no problem laying out evidence supporting a very similar set of circumstances to what you have described above.

@oversightcommittee According to your theory, I can think of a few things that would need to be considered. How this would be arranged without leaving a trail? How she could believe he'd go along with it, as opposed to turning her in? How the man could be sure he would be paid afterwards? Why she could be sure he wouldn't demand more money to remain silent? How she could feel sure no one would "talk" later?
Such a theory complicates things, compared to someone acting alone...

Quite a theory! Thoughtful thinking and lots of things to ponder.

Corrected for inaccuracies in elapsed time.

Terri had no real money of her own to hire a person to take Kyron and kill him. Kaine would find out about any funds that were missing from their accounts. He was already unhappy because Terri spent too much money, and he obviously kept an eye on the family finances. Taking a child is a huge risk, so why would someone do that for Terri? I just can't see that happening. And I totally disagree that Terri is not a sociopath. Her behavior has been very sociopathic and she is very narcissistic and manipulative. She did this to Kyron on her own. She planned it, and carried it out all by herself. But she didn't expect it to become such a huge national story.

I agree she didn't have the money to hire someone to kill him and even if she did she likely would have left a money trail. My question though is did she kill him or sell him? I think she is capable of either.

Kaine stated that Terri went through money like water. We can assume that she was simply withdrawing that money through an ATM like most people. Therefore, Kaine had no way of controlling it, nor apparently, having Terri account for every penny that she withdrew. Where you claim that you are disagreeing with someone who does not think that Terri is a sociopath, I clearly stated that she appeared to be a cold hearted sociopath. Terri did not have the time to do it on her own and her demeanor change during the day, proved that she was experiencing an emotional shock during a particular time period, which was not between the school and the 1st Fred Meyer. Surveillance cameras at the 1st Fred Meyer, did not see Kyron in the white truck, therefore she did not spend the day with Kyron, dead or alive.

I'm a big fan of your theory comment. It put a few pieces in place that I couldn't fit.

Regarding her financial sources, I believe she had relatives who supplied a "little" here and there to help. For example, paying the landscaper that Kaine never realized existed because he thought the oldest child was doing the yard work.

Depending on why she needed additional funds beyond what her husband was providing, she would not have necessarily given her true reasons for her need for extra cash.

Also, in "Boy Missing: The Search for Kyron Horman" it mentioned that the outdoor surveillance camera footage was "curious" for both Fred Myer locations. Both showed only TMHV driving and her baby in her child seat in the back. Due to the angle of the camera at each location, it was impossible to tell if anyone else was in the vehicle and if Kyron's booster seat was empty.

You can find that info around page 57.

I've been following various cases long enough to know that one source doesn't mean anything is cast in stone, so I only want to mention it.

My instincts (and all the strange circumstances of where the truck was parked at the school, was it moved while she was inside the school, etc.) tell me Kyron wasn't with her from when she left Skyline until at least 10:10 am when she felt she had secured her alibi and disappeared for the hour and a half that she has never accounted for.

But her choice of parking spots is certainly interesting.
