edit - they have removed what i quoted from the article, it made it clear she was not there by choice and this was absolutely a kidnapping, im going to delete my quote of it just to be careful - maybe they were not supposed to publish it

“According to a criminal complaint against Pena, Boston Police found he had installed a personal lock to his apartment door. Police knocked for an extended time, and as a maintenance crew was about to drill into the door, Pena opened it.

The detectives could see the victim standing next to Pena crying with a horrified look on her face,” the complaint alleges.

When police attempted to place Pena in handcuffs, he “resisted violently” before being placed into custody.

While Ambrose was being brought to Mass General Hospital for treatment, she told a detective she was being held against her will by Pena. She added that Pena took her cell phone and refused to let her leave his apartment the entire time she was held there."

COMING UP: Boston Kidnapping Suspect Due in Court
Pena's apartment had a private lock, which is against BHA rules. A BHA employee drilled and dismantled the top lock to his apartment at 49 Walford Way after detectives had waited around 20 minutes for Pena to open his door to their knocking. Prior to the lower locks being opened, however, detectives heard the locks being opened from the inside.

When detectives got into the apartment, they found Ambrose standing next to Pena and "crying with a horrified look on her face," the court documents stated. When she was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital to be evaluated, Ambrose told detectives that Pena allegedly took her phone and refused to let her leave the apartment.

I am no expert but to me, it looks like a Tyvek suit. These are used sometimes as a precaution when dealing with chemical spills and such as they are pretty much indestructible. They are disposable, lightweight and waterproof. Is it raining there? It would be useful as raingear.

It's not raining here today, it's coming but not until later/tmw.
 
I was going to say they took his clothes as evidence but why not just jail scrubs .... dunno...not currently rainy there I don’t think

They could've taken his clothes for a multitude of different reasons I think. It's surprising they gave him something he could cover his face with - that doesn't normally happen?
