William D. "Billy" Zantzinger died on 3 January 2009, a month short of his 70th birthday.

Although he may or may not have had anything to do with the death of Mount Victoria Jane Doe, he has been mentioned in this thread and the unidentified woman was found on or near his family farm.

Zantzinger's last known address was Bel Alton, in Charles County, MD.

This case is still unsolved, and unfortunately investigators have not been able to locate much information about it.

William Devereux Zantzinger, whose six-month sentence in the fatal caning of barmaid Hattie Carroll, a black woman, at a Baltimore charity ball moved Bob Dylan to write a dramatic song in 1963 that became a classic of modern American folk music, died on Jan. 3. He was 69.

His death was confirmed by an employee of the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, who said Mr. Zantzinger's family had prohibited the release of more details...

It has been over 56 years since this woman died. Her murder has yet to be solved, and her identity remains unknown.

Walter Lee Parman​

Mentioned in previous posts to this thread, Parman had murdered a woman in Washington DC just around the same time as this unidentified woman's death.

Former Ten Most Wanted Fugitive #204: On January 31, 1965, Parman was arrested in Los Angeles, California, after a citizen recognized him from a newspaper article.

He later escaped from prison and lived under an alias. Years passed before he was recaptured and returned to prison. He has since died.

This woman's body was found on 27 January 1965. She has remained unidentified for the past 59 years.

She was between 40 and 60 years old. 5 foot, 1 inch tall, she weighed about 113 pounds. Her hair was brown with some streaks of gray.

She was found clad only in pink panties, a white slip, and brown hose.

It was estimated that she may have died some 3 weeks prior to discovery. The autopsy indicated that she suffered from cirrhosis of the liver, however cause of death was not stated.

Because of the circumstances of this woman being found in a remote rural area, partially dressed, and covered with leaves, it is likely that she was murdered and her body dumped at Mount Victoria.

Since no one in the local area recognized her, and there were no missing persons reported in Southern Maryland around that time, it is a good possibility that she was from elsewhere- or new to the area.
