That bit if info came from a FOX 2 reporters twitter account.

Yes, I know that, but Fox never backed up the reporter's Tweet, nor was an "arrest warrant" mentioned by any other media outlet. I've never been a fan of Fox - and this is an example of their rogue reporting. :moo:

Ty tlcya :) I've been reading since this tragic event but finally joined then posted. Hubby loves this place :fence:

Aside from myself (resident of Armada) most everyone I know is really frustrated with lack of any communication in at least a month from law enforcement. They need to bring this community up to speed a bit, if nothing else at least for peace of mind....out of respect for all of us wondering what is going on. Craziest case I've ever followed....

I posted this earlier in the case discussion. The task force is not obligated to share details of their investigation with the community or even the victim's family. Just the way that it is.

In the midst of an ongoing investigation, LE has no obligation to the public - or even victims' families - to share pertinent details of the case. Tidbits of information might be leaked to the media by people who are close to the investigation, but these reports are not necessarily factual. LE is going to keep sensitive details of the case to themselves to protect the integrity of the investigation and won't release the information until the case is turned over to the prosecutor. :moo:

BetteDavisEyes, I understand that..it's just that being a resident here and seeing all this going on around us (we are a very small town community) most of us are still wondering if there is danger out there or not still at this point. It's just scary and freaking everyone out....makes me wish they would say "something" at least :tantrum:

I completely get it Melly. Recently my family member was victim to a violent assault in her home. She lives (lived won't return, too traumatized) a block away from my home. It is different when the violent crime is in your own backyard. It feels more, personal, more intrusive, and makes everyone on edge and fearful and angry that their peaceful enjoyment of their homes or community feels personally threatened.

I have followed cases for a long time, but the one that involved my family member was different. It was personal. Even though I know LE and investigative procedure somewhat because of following cases, it felt very different when crime affected one of my own. I think that is what Armada resident are probably feeling. It is right there in all your faces day after day.

Hang in there.

Exactly.....I know how it goes....just frustrated here in the middle of it. Thanks for understanding, sorry about your MIL :(

Sources say property of April Millsap found http://dlvr.it/6wpdD5 #detroit

Sources tell 7 Action News that property of April Millsap has been found in a swimming pool in Armada.

Leary of "sources" but waiting for updates and more info. This is all that is out there as of right now.

Just watched report from Fox 2 at 10pm, they said a pool or small pond was drained and authorities found nothing.

Brief mention of todays search on the 10pm newscast and they did mention that property belonging to April was found but the authorities are not releasing what the item(s) are.

Erika Erickson ‏@FOX2Erika 13m
Source: Cellphone track history came back, lead police to search route April Millsap took the day she was murdered. @FOX2News 10pm #Armada

REMEMBER! this is the same reporter who tweeted the unconfirmed warrant info that has since been debunked as Rumor by LE. So take with liberal serving of salt. I also note that Erika Erickson spells April's last name incorrectly. Just a peeve. If she is hot on this story and in the know about things could she not spell the name properly at least? I am taking with ocean full of salt. JMO. Proof will be in the pudding - ie. if FOX backs her scoop and goes with it. They did not with her warrant scoop.

ARGGGG more "sources"

Investigators drained a pool in the area, but sources told Local 4 nothing was found.

Frustrated in Shelby Township to. We go on a weekly basis out to Romeo and Armada to do farming, and it is just creepy out there now. I won't even go pick my own stuff, just buy it already picked. Favorite time of the year through Halloween, always so peaceful out getting the fresh goods, but not now and not likely to be until this case is solved. Something is just not right to me, just seems it should have been solved fairly quickly given the time span of her leaving home and being found.

So why then does the header on the video say investigators find items related to April? I guess neither WXYZ or Fox Detroit can get the news right.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

(WXYZ) - 7 Action News was first to report from sources close to the April Millsap murder investigation, that items belonging to the teen were found at the bottom of a swimming pool in Armada.
The pool was drained by firefighters earlier this evening, so investigators could search for evidence.

Hmmmmm, so confused with conflicting news. I'm trying to wait for authorities to say "yay" or "nay" on whether something was found but truthfully I have very little hope of them saying a word :( sadly, we must rely on the media :(
