MI MI - Tangena Hussain, 3, Detroit, 2 Oct 2008

Mommy's poly has been delayed till Thursday? Why?

Investigators and Shawn Patrick Smith, an attorney who is acting as a family spokesman and representing Hussain, said Hussain failed a polygraph or lie detector test. NilufaBegum is scheduled to undergo a polygraph exam Thursday, Smith said.

Evidence technicians on Tuesday searched a Hamtramck home where investigators say a man -- questioned in the disappearance of a missing 2-year-old -- imprisoned and raped a 15-year-old girl.
Police stressed the search of the home in the 11300 block of Lumpkin, in which investigators dug in the backyard for several hours, was in connection with the alleged Feb. 1 kidnapping and sexual assault of the 15-year-old girl, whom police say was held captive in the home for a week, and not that of missing 2-year-old Tangena Hussain.

Sadly, it's all too obvious.

This guy babysitting gf's daughter, daughter turns up missing; he fails polygraph. Then arrested for kidnapping and raping another child earlier this year?
Holy Mother of God...if that doesn't make your blood run cold, I don't know what would.

Praying for little Tangena and her family, as well as the other child victim and her family. As for the perp, I am confident LE is in the process of nailing him to the wall. MONSTER. :furious:

Now they're digging at the home of one of his former co-workers....
this does not look good for poor Tangena!

"HAMTRAMCK, Mich. -- FBI agents and police investigators were seen apparently digging in the backyard of a house on Lumpkin Street Tuesday evening in connection with the disappearance of 2-year-old Tangena Hussain.

Tents covering the area investigators were interested in were seen in the driveway and backyard of the house"

From this article:
"FBI agents and police investigators were seen apparently digging in the back yard of the Bangladeshi couple's home on Lumpkin Street Tuesday evening in connection with the Thursday disappearance of 2-year-old Tangena Hussain."

I think this is all linked together. He lived at that house with the owners and convinced them the 15 year old was his girlfriend...this was the house where she was held hostage, etc. If he used their house for his crimes before (and seemingly got away with it --they never said anything), there is a possibility that the disappearance of Tangena is linked to this home too --and I think that's why the FBI was there.

IMO, it's unusual for no one to see a child for a week.

James Tate, Detroit Police Department spokesman, said Begum has told investigators that only she and Hussain saw Tangena for up to a week before her alleged Oct. 2 disappearance.

One thing that has always bothered me is when it was reported that the mother kept repeating "I was at work, I was at work" over and over when the girl was reported missing. :waitasec: I do think that the boyfriend did hurt the child, but the mother is covering for him.

Has the Mommy's polygraph --- supposedly delayed until Thursday (yesterday, 10/9) --- been administered yet??

Seems to me that might shed some light on the suspicious revelation by Mom that only she & BF had actually seen the child for possibly up to a week before she went missing........

I still say the child is dead, probably abused by and killed by the BF. I am not certain the mother was involved, but that statement by Mom of how only she & BF had seen the child for up to a week before the disappearance makes me suspicious...

Thanks,
Soulscape

I very much agree, hoping and praying for this little one, God love her!

Well, this seems like an open and shut case. Boyfriend murdered Tangena. I have no doubt about it. Did her mother know that this guy had been convicted of rape and kidnapping? If she did and she allowed her daughter to be alone with him then she deserves to go to prison too as far as I'm concerned.

I totally agree w/ that. When will these mothers start protecting their own children?? Man...that's our job!!!!! And as a mother, i can't imagine not doing anything possilbe to protect my children.

FBI and police are searching a third home in hopes of finding clues into the disappearance of missing 2-year-old Tangena Hussain.

A search warrant is being executed at the Hamtramck home of the girl's mother's boyfriend, Jamrul Hussain, who is the last person to have seen Tangena Hussain more than a week ago.

The home was voluntarily searched a week ago, but agents have a search warrant to look through the home again. (more at link)

If anyone is local, I just got off the phone with the attorney Shawn Patrick Smith who said that they are meeting tonight at 5:00 pm at the Marathon at Greenfield and 8 mile to canvas the neighborhood with flyers etc...

They haven't found this little sweety yet? So sad..... I wonder where her biological dad is or any grandparents? She is such a cute little thing how could anyone hurt her?

Tangena Hussain's dad: This case doesn't make sense

He adds $5,000 to reward for girl

When Mohammed Ahmed -- the father of missing 2-year-old Tangena Hussain of Hamtramck -- first heard his daughter had disappeared Oct. 2, he thought it was a joke.

Ahmed, 38, of New York said his ex-wife, Nilufa Begum, 24, was crying when she called him the night Tangena was reported abducted from the locked car of Begum's boyfriend, Jamrul Hussain.

She told Ahmed what Hussain, 24, no relation to the missing girl, also told Detroit police: Hussain stopped at a gas station at 8 Mile and Greenfield in Detroit and went inside. When he returned to the car from the store, the little girl was gone from the car.

"Honestly, no, I don't believe his story," Ahmed told the Free Press in a telephone interview Thursday from New York. "It doesn't make sense."

It is very disturbing LE still has not found any evidence of the child...

So what do you think? What kind of tips? Is there a way she might be alive? What do you think??
