Reward goes to $7K: An anonymous donor has upped the reward amount for finding JB of Alexandria, who has been missing for nearly one month.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, a citizen, who wished to remain anonymous, added $5,000 to the $2,000 already donated as a reward for the safe return of the 15-year-old girl for a total of $7,000.

A prayer vigil for missing Alexandria teen JB is planned for Friday, Sept. 8, one month after she disappeared.

J's mother, SB, announced the plans for the prayer vigil on the "Help Bring J Block Home" Facebook page. It will be at 7:30 p.m. at Living Waters Church, 1310 N Nokomis NE. Alexandaria. The vigil will take place in the parking lot.

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. - Alexandria police say a 15-year-old girl missing for nearly a month has been found safe.

Police issued a press release saying JB was found in rural Grant County on Tuesday. She is being treated for minor injuries at the Douglas County Hospital and has been reunited with her family, police said.

Chief Wyffels believes JB was kidnapped that night by a man whom she knew. The man claimed he needed JB's help with a "family situation." Chief Wyffels says that was the beginning of JB's nightmare.

She was tied up and taken to a home in Carlos, Minnesota. There, Wyffels says JB was repeatedly physically and sexually assaulted. She was often times kept in a closet and often threatened.

On Sept. 6, the three suspects (two from Carlos and one from Mankato) drove JB to several locations, including a cornfield in Grant County. That afternoon, the men left JB alone to get food. Chief Wyffels said this was the first time in 29 days she had the opportunity to escape.

JB ran for help, knocking on the doors of several homes, but no answer.

She eventually swam across a portion of Thompson Lake. Once to shore, she ran to a nearby farm where a man immediately recognized her. He called 911.
