GUILTY MS - Kingston Frazier, 7, Jackson, 18 May 2017 *Arrests*

Been following this beautiful child's horrific death, but couldn't find a thread for him till today.

BBM--this article on his calling hours lists 4 gunshot wounds.

Mourners line up to say goodbye to 6-year-old murder victim

Kingston was in the back seat of his mother’s car about 1:30 a.m. May 17 when it was stolen from the Kroger on Interstate 55, police said. His body was found, still in the back of the car, eight hours later on Gluckstadt Road in Madison County, authorities said. He had been shot four times.

Visitation held for Kingston Frazier

The Celebration of Life service for Kingston will be held Friday at Morning Star Baptist at noon.

The family is asking everyone to wear green.

Security video shows that after Archie left her car about 1 a.m., another car drove up and a man got out and then drove off in her Camry. Frazier was in the back seat.
Archie's family members told local news media Friday that she had picked up her son from his grandmother after going out with friends to celebrate her birthday and was going into the Jackson supermarket to buy party supplies to celebrate Kingston's kindergarten graduation, which was scheduled Friday.

I thought she was going to pick up "medication"

It was just after 1 a.m. on Thursday and Archie, a mother of two from Jackson, had left the Toyota Camry running and the doors apparently unlocked. She was buying medicine, her family said, and Kingston had asked to stay in the car.

And yet another discrepancy-- this article says Kingston was not being watched by his grandmother when his mom picked him up. (BBM)

Archie's aunt, Velma Eddington, disputed that law enforcement was not notified immediately that Kingston was in the stolen car.

"She told (the deputy) right then that the car was missing and her baby was in it,” Eddington said. “Why would she be concerned about an old car? Anybody who says she didn’t say the baby was missing is wrong."

Eddington said Archie had been out with cousins and friends to celebrate her birthday, which was on Tuesday. Archie picked up Kingston from Eddington's granddaughter, who was babysitting the 6-year-old.

I know that LE isn't releasing more info, so as not to taint the case or jury pool.

However, I'm absolutely certain that the ME has narrowed down time of death to within an hour or so. The car was reported missing around 2:30 a.m. (confirmed by parking lot camera, IIRC), and was located in a ditch at 9:30 am with KF deceased inside. So that's a 6 to 7 hour window. From the condition of the body (temperature, stage of rigor or not, whether or not the blood evidence was dried or fresh, etc), coupled with things like whether the car engine was cold or still warm-- I feel pretty certain ME and LE have closely established time of death, and the time the car was abandoned.

I also feel pretty certain that they tested all three defendants for drugs and alcohol when they were arrested. If any of them test positive, forensic experts will be able to establish whether the suspects were under the influence acutely at the time of the murder, using the calculations for physiological drug metabolism. I have to go back and see how many hours it was from the murder until they were arrested-- especially Byron McBride, the one suspected of being the shooter.

This could be a hint as to time of death, or it may simply be a formality since KF's body was found deceased in that county:

Washington's lawyer, Warren Martin, questioned whether charges against his client should properly be filed in Madison County, since the car was stolen and boy kidnapped in neighboring Hinds County. Guest, though, says Madison County charges are proper because the boy's death happened there.

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/05/father_of_kingston_frazier_mur.html

(Bold and underlined by me for emphasis.)

And more charges coming-- likely for the car theft and kidnapping, as KF was alive at the time:

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith, who attended Monday's hearing, said he intends to seek additional charges against the three defendants in his county.

The judge set June 26 preliminary hearings for all three.

Possibly more indication that KF died quite a while after the car was stolen. :(

When asked the location of where the shooting took place, Sheriff Tucker said he couldn't give an exact location, but they couldn't charge an individual with capital murder unless the crime took place within the county.

So, authorities think KF definitely died in Madison county, where the car was found if I'm reading that correctly. Not in Hinds county where the car was stolen.

And I also think that the witness who saw the stolen car must have picked out McBride from a line up, or photo line up:

A witness contacted police and was able to provide information about the last person seen driving the silver Honda Civic, used by the suspects. Police were able to get a positive identity of the driver, who they confirm is one of the three under arrest.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith said Tuesday that he’s filing charges against three suspects who are already facing capital murder charges in Madison County in connection with Kingston's death.

Michael Guest, the district attorney for Madison and Rankin counties, said investigators have a “general location” of where the weapon is but haven’t found it yet. Guest wouldn’t say where the information originated.

Smith said Byron McBride, 19, and Dwan Wakefield and D’Allen Washington, both 17, will be charged in Hinds County with auto theft and kidnapping, in addition to the charges they already face in Madison County.

“There is obviously surveillance with the suspects on the parking lot and taking possession of this vehicle, and the turn of events that happened after that. We have to look at the timelines,” Smith said.

Investigators believe Kingston was killed in Madison County and have said that McBride is the suspected gunman.

BBM. Sounds like investigators have a ton of iron clad evidence. For that, I'm glad.

Rest In Peace, Kingston. I pray peace for the family as they lay his body to rest today.

Thanks K_Z for all of your links and posts. Very informative. I too have been following this child's tragedy from the beginning, but am new to posting. However, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your contributions here. They have been very helpful...

Kingston Frazier Buried With Blue Power Ranger, Ninja Turtle: His Last Day Was ‘The Happiest Day of His Life’

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, Kingston Frazier’s last full day on earth, he rode the bus home from North Jackson Elementary School. He was excited because he knew that he would be graduating from kindergarten to first-grade the next day.

It was “the happiest day of his life,” Ebony Archie, the 6-year-old boy’s mother, said Friday at his funeral.

The Clarion-Ledger’s Bracey Harris painfully notes that Kingston may have been buried with a “blue Power Ranger, a Captain America action figure and a Ninja Turtle,” but on the day that this baby was so ruthlessly gunned down?

“ ... there were no superheroes.”

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A Celebration of Life.

Hundreds gathered Friday in Jackson to say goodbye to Kingston Frazier.

The six-year-old was kidnapped and killed last week.

This celebration of Kingston Frazier's life lasted nearly three hours.

The Archie and Frazier families dressed in green to symbolize growth, as they escorted the casket into the packed sanctuary, for a program filled with songs and prayers and uplifting messages. Every seat in the church was filled.

Mourners: Make Kingston Frazier's death a 'catalyst' for change

The 6-year-old boy lying inside the casket loved superheroes.

Inside the white satin-lined frame was a blue Power Ranger, a Captain America action figure and a Ninja Turtle.

The morning Kingston Frazier died there were no superheroes.

There was no mysterious masked figure to deflect the bullets that riddled his body.

No intervenor to stop the three teenagers that authorities allege stole Ebony Archie’s Toyota Camry with her sleeping son inside, before committing a slaying that sent a city once again searching for its soul.

If there was a voice of reason among the accused, it went unheard.

David Archie, an uncle of the victim, intoned that the heinousness of the act called for the involvement of the U.S. Department of Justice. At the service, he spoke of a letter he has addressed to the U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions calling for anyone that has harmed a child to have “an expedited and expeditious” court proceeding. Archie wants a bill passed named in Kingston’s honor.

He encouraged the hundreds gathered to wield that justice themselves, if necessary.

“We can no longer allow anyone to terrorize our communities,” he said. “If you are between the ages of 16 and 30 and your parents and family don’t get you under control, the village will.”

His concluding statement that (we) “have to begin to defend our community and children,” was punctuated by attendees, including Vance and Hinds County Sheriff Victor Mason standing up in applause.

In a funeral that had until then been filled with “words of comfort” from dignitaries, Archie’s oration was the most direct expression of outrage.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker said that Kingston accomplished what no one else had been able to do.

“Kingston brought an entire profession together in tears. He brought an entire community together. He brought an entire state together,” he said.

And it is true that Mississippians of all backgrounds held a collective breath that a little boy whose path many had never crossed would be found alive.

Viewed in context, there was a gathering of entities across socioeconomic and racial lines in the wake of Kingston’s death that to natives and outsiders alike seemed to be conflicting.

The white sheriff (Tucker), who had two weeks before been sued by the American Civil Liberties Union for allegedly targeting black residents in unconstitutional searches and seizures, moving an almost-black crowd with that the revelation “he (Kingston) will forever be in my heart” because the date of Kingston’s death was the same day as Tucker’s birthday.

The governor, who was sued for allegedly maintaining an unequal system of education for black and white children in the state, including the school system that Kingston had last received his schooling, sending a proclamation of sorrow and a slate of prayers on behalf of himself and the first lady.

Please do not post rumors in the thread. We need a link from MSM or a statement from LE to support statements made here.

Also, please remember that Kingston's family are victims, including Kingston's mother, unless LE tells us otherwise.

Because McBride is an adult he is eligible for the death penalty, though that is something Madison County Attorney Michael Guest said prosecutors area still discussing.

Something he wouldn’t talk about — a motive for the murder of the 6-year-old boy.

The child was in the backseat of his mother’s car when it was taken last Thursday.

“While I don’t want to comment on that, I do want to say that the mother was not involved in this case. There have been various stories on social media that have said that she may have some sort of involvement, some sort of role, in the death of Kingston and we see no evidence of that.”

We learned that Johnny Brown recently suffered another great loss. The tragic death of 6-year-old Kingston Frazier hit especially close to home for Brown because Kingston was his great-nephew.

Awfully sad. Two murders in one family and one just a baby. Why do they have to kill the babies? It is barbaric.

Just what the heck is going on in Jackson, MS?!? I hope this is not related, but the police Chief has now requested federal help with Johnny Brown's case and the case of a severed head and burned body (just ID'd as Jeremy Jerome Jackson): :scared:

One would think these multiple crimes are interrelated. The 5yo child, KF, was beat about the head then shot six times while cowering in the backseat of his mother's car. Soon thereafter, his great uncle exchanges words with a man wearing a ski mask around 10am, then he is shot to death. The latest is the decapitation of JJJs head left on the steps of a home and his burned torso is found a block or so away.

This one is easily attributable to gangs and drug cartels. MS has the N & S I-55 corridor from the Gulf coast to NYC or Chicago. Further, MS has the W & E I-20 corridor from FL to CA. There are numerous safe houses or camps along the way. One S of Memphis is located in Panola Co. [site: 19yo Jessica Chambers' immolation; killer's trial begins next Monday.] Make no mistake about it that these people are into *advertiser censored*, sex trafficking, running illegal guns, drugs and immigrants.

[Mexican] Cartels and Gang MS-13 use the prisons' population to recruit new members who become trained militants. Most prisoners housed in for-profit institutions are placed there due to drug related convictions. Perhaps we should conclude the War on Drugs by making every drug legal.

What happens if we stop filling our prisons with drug users/abusers/dealers/recruits? Youths, who are causing problems for any other crimes, should be sent directly to rehab treatment instead of into costly prisons to fraternize with dangerous gangs, complementary, because it's financed by society in the form of gov't taxes. Older prisoners need assistance with basic fundamentals upon their release back into society. Winning. The drug and sex trafficking and illegal immigration could be drastically reduced due to lack of supply on demand.

KF died the night before his graduation from Kindergarten.

JMHO and all that jazz

Kingston's killers were local boys already arrested.

I don't doubt that the decapitation / burning victim possibly was a victim of gangs because of the manner of death. im not sure about the barber.

In an attempt to reconcile the car thieves arrival at Kroger as being the same time KF was left alone inside a vehicle, I'm led to believe that KF was a targeted hit. The local youths shot KF six times. That sent a powerful message to someone.

Got a google Alert this morning - thought I'd share with you all following this case....

:tyou: in advance!

K - found an article

'I offed the child,' suspect says according to investigator

CANTON, Miss. —
One of three men charged in connection with the shooting death of a 6-year-old boy admitted to killing the child, an investigator testified Monday during a preliminary hearing in Madison County Justice Court.
[.....]
An investigator with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation testified that the three men were in the Kroger parking lot with the intention of selling marijuana to someone there. When they spotted Kingston's mother's car, they drove around a few times and then McBride got out and stole the car, which he said he planned to drive to Holmes County, the investigator said.
[.....]
McBride later called Wakefield and Washington and told them that a child was in the car. He later called back and said, "I offed the child," the investigator testified. McBride then told Wakefield and Washington to pick him up on Gluckstadt Road, where Kingston's body was found on the back floorboard of the car, the investigator said.
[.....]
The judge said there was probable cause to believe that the shooting happened in Madison County. The case was sent to a grand jury.

So, does that mean it goes to the grand jury now? And they come back and say - yes, enough for trial? Or it has been to the grand jury and found probable cause?

Of course, they don't give another court date in the article... :gaah:
