I'm not sure, but I have googled so much and have kept coming up with BL was actually returning from Portland, OR instead of UT as originally reported. Maybe to protect his employer?

I looked at his FB and there is a lady with intials SS from PO. I know his "friend" on the other board said he is indeed engaged and they work together.

Does anyone else think she looks like the woman that was standing by his side in the press conference pic and vigil?

I am just glad we can not get all his work info... I do not think his firm need s the bad press.
Dont care which state, dont think it matters.
Do think he will have to return to work one day. Also think, his work is not relevant to the case.
unless he was a pimp.

I saw someone near His sister at an early interview and she looked nice.

Do not mind coming down on him for negligence. But I do not like coming down on his entire world.
which would include work/employer....

If that was the case, he contradicted himself in another interview (i think it was Oprah...don't hold me to that) where he said that Shaniya loved her "mother" very much and liked spending time with her (NOT A DIRECT QUOTE)

bbm. IIRC, it was Aunt Carey that stated this on Oprah instead of BL.

Does anyone have the link to the interview with the person that said she wasn't supposed to be over there? I am trying to settle a question in my own mind. TIA.

I think if BL had gone for full custody he would have gotten it. I don't think she had any money to fight him in court and with a paternity test and the fact he had the informal custody of her for 4 years would weigh heavily in his favor.

What types of cases can be handled pro bono?
Potential clients for LANC offices are typically low-income persons who have legal needs in civil matters, such as credit or consumer fraud, landlord/tenant problems, child custody, domestic violence, public benefits and/or representation of victims of natural disasters. Sometimes referrals may also be made for legal assistance that LANC staff attorneys are not allowed to handle due to funding restrictions. Your PAI coordinator will work with you to ensure that you are comfortable with such referrals.

I agree and they never used alleged so I thought they might feel safe from a lawsuit with some information we do not know.

I think they just forgot to use the word "alledged". If there was ANY investigation by DCFS regarding Shaniya with her mother, it would be out in the public already. HLN is "assuming" this happened.

That was his daughter Cheyene from his murdered ex that is living with his former inlaws. It has been reported that BL gave her the boot. Her brother Byron who has the same Mom has stated quite the opposite...no knowledge of any bad stuff going on over there. Don't have the linky handy but it is from the interview on Nancy Grace where BL came up from behind him and hugged and kissed him on the head.

Tim Allen has been caring for Lockhart’s 17-year-old daughter, Cheyenne, since July. Cheyenne lives with Allen and his daughters, with whom she attends Pine Forest High School. Allen said Lockhart agreed Oct. 1 to let Shaniya stay with his family at night while Lockhart was gone and for her to spend the days at a day care run by Allen’s mother. A day later, Allen said, Lockhart told him he had changed his mind.

“He said he knew she wasn’t supposed to be over there, but he wanted to give her biological mother a chance,” Allen said. On Oct. 3, Lockhart left town, Allen said, returning the day Shaniya went missing.

 Songline...you are certainly assertive.

Not to discount your interviews, (as I would've looooved to have been there)...and it actually sounds like something I might do.

Did you happen to ask each individual what they defined as a one night stand?

I only ask because my occupation involves conducting investigations, frequently, and I often find that people tend to have different perceptions, of things that appear to have little / no ambiguity. I often find the greatest perception differences among different individuals in different geographical locations, as well as differing age groups / genres, and gender.

BL was very adamant in stating "one night stand". IMO, it was very odd to refer to the mother of their daughter, to the public, as a "one night stand".

IMO, he was distancing himself from her.

He's fine with leaving his baby girl over there, though...............

I think they just forgot to use the word "alledged". If there was ANY investigation by DCFS regarding Shaniya with her mother, it would be out in the public already. HLN is "assuming" this happened.

But why would DCFS be investigating itself in regards to Shaniya's case if they never had contact with her?

It would have to be proven IF she is on drugs while pregnant. I don't know if we will actually ever know the outcome of the drug tests that may or may not have been done at the jail.

Thanks. I was just thinking I had read somewhere that AD was in withdrawals and they were waiting to further question her.

Who knows, this has been on my mind so much I may have dreamed it.:waitasec:

I don't see any signs of resentment or bad blood from the two families that reported those conversations.

The one family is just taking care of BL's daugter and I don't think they have an axe to grind. The other family were the winners in a custody battle and get child support from BL. They have 3 great kids from the deal. I don't think they would say something not true about the dad of those kids to the newspapers, I am sure the whole family knew the situation.

In family law, the parties to a case are often some of the angriest people, and sometimes more dangerous than any other kind of party to a case. Criminal defendants are the nicest people to deal with. Family law malpractice rates are some of the highest, family law attorneys run the greatest risk of getting murdered of all the lawyers out there, by their clients or opposing parties and family law attorneys experience the most stress of any other attorney, due to the anger, passion and anguish of their clients.
Every day that I am in Court, like today, I see people screaming in the halls, crying, wailing, fighting and at least once each time I spend over a few hours there, I see Sheriff's having to surround, arrest or escort someone out of the courthouse.
I have seen assualts, once in the parking lot.
Family law litigants are the most unglued of any litigants.
The only time I see parties involved in a family law case that did not have bad blood between are in simple cases with short hearings. Anytime you see protracted litigation that lasts weeks, months or years, you will see deep seated animosity. This can be a very nasty business, believe me!

ETA, whether true or not true, reporting bad things about the parent of the children entrusted to your care to the MEDIA, is bad for the children, not in their best interests. Why say such a thing to the media? Why not contact LE instead? The fact that they have does tarnish their credibility to some degree, for me. I need to hear more.
Finally, some people just like to get involved in a high profile case and/or distance themselves from people connected to such cases by bad mouthing them.

Thanks. I was just thinking I had read somewhere that AD was in withdrawals and they were waiting to further question her.

Speculation, it was taken as fact after being repeated a certain number of times.
MOO.

Man I wonder why she was not supposed to be over there.

GRACE: It`s my understanding that department of family and children`s services had been to the home on many occasions and that there was a problem with drug use in the home. Were you familiar with any of that?

CHEYENNE LOCKHART: I did know about Antoinette using drugs, but I -- I knew of DSS going to her home, but I never knew that -- somebody told me that she wasn`t supposed to have her, so I didn`t know of that.

I understood this came from Aunt Carey. I'll try to find the link now. MOO

The statement was "allegedly": Antoinette called the aunt and told the aunt she would never see Shanyia again.

The statement doesn't say the aunt went to pick up Shaniya and Antoinette refused to give Shanyia to her.

But then, that statement about Antoinette calling the aunt, doesn't seem to fit with Brad's statement about Antoinette wanting Shaniya to stay longer, or Brad stating: Antoinette needing to be a mother. NOT is those exact words.

I believe you 100%. Do you think though there would still be hard feelings from the winner after all this time?

Oh my, nothing like that has ever come out in the media.

Oh Boy...Not sure if an entertainment lawyer is the route I'd take.

I'm trying to say that they were investigating AD...for Shaniya and HER BROTHER that was living with AD...The posts imply that they were investigating BL. NOT the case in that statement.
