Officer Bollman says he knocked on the door and it opened almost immediately, almost too quickly. "It was almost like the person inside was waiting for me to knock so she (Crews) could answer." #HoehnTrial #SavannaGreywind

Officer Bollman testifies that he asked Brooke if he could look around the apartment. Bollman says he didn't open any drawers or go anywhere Brooke didn't allow, but he was looking for Savanna. At this point, authorities didn't have a search warrant. #HoehnTrial #SavannaGreywind

Officer Bollman says he looked inside the bathroom. The shower curtain was closed, but it looked like a 'normal bathroom.' Officer Bollman says he saw William Hoehn lying on the bed when he was there. #HoehnTrial #SavannaGreywind

Bollman: apartment was very neat and tidy. Nothing was out of place. Nothing of concern in bathroom and kitchen. Bollman said he didn't check the far side of the bed during the initial search and that the curtains were drawn on the bathtub. #HoehnTrial

During the second visit, about 10:30 p.m., Bollman and another officer heard what sounded like a couch moving. Crews let them in and told Bollman she had a couch in front of the door because Savanna's family members would come and pound on the door. #HoehnTrial

That specific comment from Brooke Crews, as described by Bollman..
Crews: I made sure not to ask her about the baby. I've been pregnant before, and women get sick of people asking about the baby. I just wanted to give her a little break from that. #HoehnTrial #SavannaGreywind

9/10/18 Update: Request to have his murder conspiracy trial moved out of Fargo has been denied. Nortberta Greywind, Savanna’s mother. Joe Greywind, Savanna’s father. Last witness for the day, Detective Samuel Bollman, Fargo police responded to 911 call. The defense chose not to cross-examine any of the State's witnesses this afternoon. Trial continues to 9/20.

*Brooke Lynn Crews (38) also charged with same counts, plead guilty on 12/11/17 & sentenced in Feb. 2, 2018 to life without parole.

The testimony of Crews next week is going to be critical.

If she testifies that he was involved in the actual killing, I think he'll be in prison for the rest of his life, just like her.

If she testifies that he wasn't involved, that may put some doubt in the mind of at least one juror.

I wonder what difference that would make in his sentence. Maybe life with the possibility of parole?
