Part of the bizarre activities with the POIs. I don't quite get what they were hoping to accomplish with their videos. And Bailey gets about 1 percent of the speaking time.

In that same video, Boswell said she and Loofe drove around Lincoln, smoked marijuana at her apartment in Wilber and then she dropped Loofe off at a friend’s house and hadn’t heard from Loofe since.


Bliemiester on Tuesday said investigators have explored the claims in the video extensively.


“The investigative efforts have not been able to confirm those particular details,” he said. “We’ll still work toward that end, but again, the analysis of the (digital records) was what led us to the discovery of who we believe to be Sydney.”

It sounds like LE are saying examination of those videos may have led to the discovery of the body. Maybe they recorded them while they were in the vicinity of the body? Before or after dumping it? :thinking:

Nope, it was the cellphone's ping almost certainly. By the time they made those video's she was dead.

It is both humbling and alarming to realize how often risk presents itself in our lives. By participating in WS, I have learned so much about being aware of the world around me. There will always be people out there causing others harm. I encourage everyone to be overprotective, be cautious, be that crazy aunt/uncle, sister/brother, coworker that warns people about being a victim. You never know who might be at risk.

Exactly...this weighs on me heavily at times because I read so many cases where it could have easily been me. Since joining, I definitely look at the world a little differently, watch my surroundings a lot more and just watch every single person I come into contact with a little more carefully.

The videos were uploaded rather than live-streamed right? I guess technically they could have been made anywhere at any time, we only know when they were uploaded.

I've just had a thought. What if the digital footprint that led them to Sydney was her own phone? Was it ever said that the Wilbur ping was the last? I guess it had to be or they would not have been searching there initially.
Eta- I see it was confirmed in post 1 that it was the last ping in Wilbur, therefore it has to be someone else's digital footprint that led them to Edgar.

What if Sydney still had her phone in Edgar (whether she was dead or alive), the perps ditched her body in the field and took her phone with them back to Wilbur.

In other words, could it have been Sydney's phone's pings (prior to the last ping) that lead them to Edgar?

Yes - it was in one of the videos. AT stated a "Katie" who he claimed to be a gf of BB's spent the week prior to Sydney's disappearance with them.

That was AT in his made up video that was NOT a news station verifying it was true.. As far as we know "Katie" could be made up ... INO

Yes, there is definitely a sinister vibe to this case. Many suspected trafficking from the start, and I inched toward that suspicion too. The male-female duo were up to no good from the start, before that first Tinder date. Sydney was trapped....but for what purpose we don't know yet.

I do have high hopes the case will be solved.

I didn't write anything about a news station verifying Katie. I have doubts as to whether Katie exists and LE has not confirmed anything with respect to this Katie.

Them being together but her dating women wouldn't raise flags for me if not for their other actions. I fit into that group...married to a man, in an open marriage (enthusiastically consensual by all parties involved), and date both men and women. That, in itself, doesn't make a person guilty of crimes. Their other actions definitely raise suspicions, and I do think that in this case Bailey was being used as bait to lure Sydney into their situation. Just my impression.

If it was premeditated murder, why use cell phones and fake social media accounts to acquire victims? One slip up and you have paved a blazing highway straight back to yourself. BB's fake accounts that I saw still use her real photo. Why meet your victim, give them an evening to talk about you, share your fake online profile (which they probably have bookmarks or links to, messages saved from) with others, etc, then kill them the next day? Why set up a fake date at all, wouldn't you expect the person to tell someone about their impending out-of-the-ordinary plans? I can find waaay more reasons to doubt premeditated murder than to suspect it.
And as for the "taken to be sold" theory, I really don't know a lot about such cases but I'm guessing a seemingly upstanding girl like Sydney would be about the last target for such a crime versus a desperate female of negative circumstances with loose community ties, etc.

I’m just curious if anyone thinks Bailey was involved and not Aubrey? In the second video of Aubrey he is adamant and says that he may be a thief but he’s never hurt or let alone murdered anyone. Do you think there’s any truth to that or is he a cold blooded psychopath?

I think they both were involved with the disposal of the body. Beyond that, I don't know.
