Unfortunately, we're still in a deep freeze, leaving me wondering where spring is.

Thanks, folieadeuxnola! My poor crocuses are buried, I don't think they'll see the light of day.
Anyway, the sun feels warmer every day, but the wind is like an arctic blast. Should warm up tomorrow, but nothing like your temps (high of 38 degrees if we're lucky)
Check this out our current and rest of the day conditions:

Rest of Today (03/23/2017): Lots of sunshine, breezy and chilly. Highs between 19°-29°. Northwest wind 10-20 MPH with gusts to 25-30 MPH possible.Tonight: Increasing clouds and cold. Lows between 3°-13°. Light and variable wind.

Like I said, MATCHING DNA profiles are automatically run in CODIS.
I'm not talking about samples not in CODIS that may be held locally, but thank you for your input.

Is all DNA from namus and doe network in a centralised system?

Hibiscus are lovely
And yes, crocuses can grow through snow, just not 2 feet of it ;) They're probably under there somewhere, I'd just have to do a little shoveling to see them.

And, it's snowing. Again. Maybe an inch or so expected.

Not necessarily. That's the goal but in practice there are turf issues, technical difficulties, paperwork conflicts, misunderstandings and delays, et cetera et cetera.

Okay, I went through Doenet looking for unidentified women who were tied with electrical wire. It's not as common as I would have thought. I didn't filter for race; several of the victims are black. I also didn't look into the circumstances as yet. I agree that he probably didn't abduct women off the street, so victims who appear to have succumbed to domestic violence are more likely to be connected to him.

From Carbuff's post, this one is interesting only because there is a guy's name to follow up on whom the LE obviously has little clue about.... if anyone cares to research.

1990, Garden Grove, CA http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/38ufca.html had given birth

"Other: Information leads police to believe the victim had some connection to a person named Steve Glick."

I wondered about that one, since the person didn't seem to exist. Or rather, there are several people with the name but nobody who seems to be the right one. It would fit with RE's many identities.

She was found October 4, 1990. RE was paroled and disappeared in October 1990. Does anybody know the exact day he was released?

ooooh Owutatangledweb.. Steve Glick hmmm... and its from his Unaccounted Era!... oh wait I got too excited... and I just read the other post with the link to the article..ugh... I wonder if one of those STEVE GLICKS that they in fact interviewed was Evans and he played it off like nothing.. and got away? Just some thoughts

I've been wondering -- what benefit would a killer get by wrapping a victim in electrical cord? Is this a signature thing? It seems like an unnecessary thing to do.

In a lot of cases it appears to be because it's a handy strong, thin, flexible thing to tie something/somebody up or use as a ligature. Maybe the only thing handy. Extension cords especially seem to be unplanned domestic violence in many cases. Which makes me wonder about RE's relationship to his victims.

re: electrical cord/wire/extension cord/etc

The LE and/or coroner's descriptions of the cords don't appear to make careful distinctions about what kind of cord or wire it was. In one case that I didn't include because it happened while RE was in jail, they even refer to it as "wire" in one sentence and "extension cord" in the next.
