I have actually posted the same thought in the summer of last year, before his real identity was known. We have learned so much since then. I no longer think he was involved in that case... It also seems he was in Oregon sometimes in late 80's and very likely also on some more occasions in later years (he kept mentioning property and had also contacts there).

Al Ka, I remember this discussion and I'm not yet convinced it's unrelated. He could have been visiting relatives in the area. I did find a history of that surname in the area.

• Arizona, Maricopa, Phoenix – Whittier Elementary
• Arizona, Maricopa, Phoenix – North High School, Quits school after his sophomore year (10th grade)

1961 - 1967
• Military – Enlisted in the U.S. Navy 1961; discharged 1967

1967
• Hawaii, Honolulu - TR moves to Hawaii and works in his parent’s shoe shop

1968
• (July 20th) – Hawaii, Honolulu - TR marries. 1125 Young Street

1969
• Arizona, Maricopa, Phoenix - TR moves his family; works as an electrician for a man named “Otto”.

1970
• California, San Mateo, Redwood City - TR moves his family; works as an electrician in Palo Alto, California.

1972
• (October) - California, San Mateo, Redwood City – 1146 Palm Avenue, TR separates from wife temporarily. This is also the month his daughter was born.

• (April 30th) – Arizona, Maricopa, Phoenix – TR is arrested as a Fugitive from Justice, is to hold and individual whom has an outstanding warrant in another state.

• (June 11th) - Arizona, Maricopa, Phoenix – TR arrested for aggravated assault

1975 or 1976
• (December) – Arizona, Gila, Payson – TR visits his family unexpectedly in the company of an unidentified woman. Woman described as tall, thin, bouncy brown hair with highlights and wore glasses.
• Texas, San Patricio, Ingleside – TR tells family he is living at Casa Del Rey Apartments 2693 TX-361.
• Texas, Harbor Island – Brown & Root (KBR) in 1976 was in a joint venture of opening a fabrication yard that provided assembly, fabrication and load out of oil platforms (rigs) and jackets in Harbor Island, TX that drew in craftsman from around the country. It is my speculation that TR may have worked at this location given the time frame, the demand needed for labor and his proximity as to where he was living.
It was the big gig employer in town that drew in many former military personnel specifically noted Navy.

1977
• (October) – California, San Mateo - TR’s wife files for divorce; court filings are in California
There was a newspaper legal notification of the divorce filing in California seeking TR’s where a bout’s, however have miss placed it. Thought it was odd that the family was living in AZ and the last known of TR was in Texas, but the legal notice was published in CA. Not that it necessarily matters all thou it also gives thought to the possibility that TR had went back to CA after living in TX.

1978
• (June) – Texas, Harris, Houston – TR worked for Brown & Root (KBR), records indicate TR quit job to work elsewhere.
• (September 28th) – TR’s divorce is finalized but his whereabouts was unknown.
• Texas– TR contacts a friend in Arizona asking for money; stated he was working in Texas on an oil rig.

1979
• (December 21st) – New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester - Wrote a bad check
• New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester - Robert T/C “Bob” Evans (DOB 6/22/44) Employed
at Waumbec Mills 250 Commercial Street. His position has varied from worked under a supervisor to worked as an electrical supervisor. Did TR carry an electrical license that would have been recorded by the state or his employer? From what I can gather TR worked for a contracting company that was hired to decommission the Waumbec Mills.

1980
• (January 9th)– New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester - Robert T/C “Bob” Evans
Was sent a certified letter at 925 Hayward address letter was signed for by an Elizabeth Evans.
• (February) – New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester- Robert T/C “Bob” Evans
Arrested for worthless checks; listed spouse as Elizabeth and referenced having a 2 years
old and a 6 Month old.
• (May/June) – New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester - Robert T/C “Bob” Evans - Arrested for Electrical Power Theft (Diverting Power); listed spouse as Elizabeth. It has been noted TR was living at a park and was diverting electricity from the ball park.
• (October) – New Hampshire, Hillsborough, Manchester - Robert T/C “Bob” Evans - Arrested for Electrical Power theft (Diverting Power); no spouse listed.

According to authorities Kimball was married (most likely was dating) a woman known as Donna whom worked in Orange Co, CA as a nurse. (May use the name Donna Walter). Investigators also received
information that Lisa may have a 2-3-year-old sister.

at Henry Cowell Campground 2591 Graham Hill Road prior to moving to the Holiday Host Travel Park.

1986
• (January – June) – California, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley – Gordon Curtis Jensen/Jenson – Resides at Holiday Host Travel Park in Scotts Valley and is employed there as a maintenance man. It was noted that TR & D/L were living out of the back of TR’s pickup truck.
• (June-July) – California, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley – Leave’s D/L with a family that wanted to adopt D/L for a (2-3) week trial period (est. 6/13/86) family returned to Holiday Host July 4th weekend however Gordon Curtis Jenson/Jensen was nowhere to be found. License plate of Jenson’s truck was registered to a motel room in Texas described as a 1965-1968 Red Dodge pickup with a light-colored camper. It has never been specifically stated as to where in Texas the truck was registered and if the name it was registered under was one of TR’s alias. Through research found a potential possibility of 920 I-45 S in Conroe TX that leads to a Lodge Motel & Suites. Maybe one day the registration in Texas will be publicly addressed by LE it would be great to have an actual location. It was reported TR made phone calls from the RV Park to people at other RV Parks two specifically noted were Austin Lone Star 7009 S IH 35 Frontage Road and Pecan Grove 1518 Barton Springs Road both located south of Austin, TX. Fingerprints of Gordon Curtis Jenson/Jensen had been sent to the Department of Justice for identification and were matched to a Curtis Mayo Kimball. Neighbors later told police that TR referred to the girl’s mother as Denise La Port (La Porte) and she died in Texas. He also told one person she had been in a car accident. He told another she had been murdered after she “panicked” during a robbery. He claimed to have met Denise La Port (La Porte) in Quebec, CA and married her in Roanoke, VA In 1986. TR had written a brief autobiography that authorities later obtained; noted he was the youngest of six kids, born to Norwegian American parents who abused him and refused to allow him to attend school. Said he had run away from home at the age of 14, joined the military then moved to Canada where he met Denise La Port (La Porte). They married in Virginia, had a daughter and that Denise died in 1983.

• (March 1989)– California, Los Angeles - Curtis Mayo Kimball - Arrested for DUI in turn he was charged for the abandonment of D/L initially TR denied knowing whom D/L was and pleaded not guilty It was later advised that prosecutors would push to have a paternity test performed at this point TR plead guilty to the charges
• (March 1989 – October 1990) – California, Santa Clara, Milpitas - Curtis Mayo Kimball - Incarcerated for a three term. Assume CMK was held at the San Jose jail until his charges were finalized then transferred to the Elmwood Correction Facility 701 S Abel Street.

1990
• (November 1st) – California, Milpitas - Curtis Mayo Kimball - Parole warrant issued. Evidently, he did not meet with his parole officer as court ordered.

• (June) – California – Lawrence William Vanner – Pulled over by LE cited for not having insurance nor a driver’s license.

• (May 9th) – New Hampshire, Merrimack, Allenstown – 2nd barrel found in which contained the middle child (2-4 years old) and youngest female child (1-3 years old). Note: Youngest child biologically related to the adult female and oldest child found in the 1st barrel in 1985.

2001
• (August) – California, East Richmond Heights – Lawrence William “Larry” Vanner - Unofficially weds Eunsoon Jun in a backyard ceremony with Star Trek theme. No paperwork was filed for the marriage.
• California, East Richmond Heights - Lawrence William “Larry“ Vanner - Had been in the East Richmond Heights neighborhood providing handyman work to businesses and residents. He also had exchanged service work for room and board. He had met Jun while providing roof repair work at her home. Larry Vanner also went by Dr Vanner and also claimed to have lots of property was a self-made millionaire, once was colonel in the Army, worked for the CIA and could easily disappear

• (September) – California, East Richmond Heights - Missing persons’ report filed for Eunsoon Jun
Eusoon Jun found in the basement of her home buried under 250 lbs. of cat litter TR was finger printed and found to be Curtis Mayo Kimball.
• (November)- California, East Richmond Heights – Arrested for the homicide of Eusoon Jun While being interviewed TR was provided a phone he called a therapist in Eugene, Oregon. LE watched the number TR dialed and later contacted the therapist due to patient confidentiality the therapist was able to release any information to LE. However, a description was provided to the therapist when asked if this was a patient the therapist said no.

2003 – California

He also had exchanged service work for room and board. He had met Jun while providing roof repair work at her home. Larry Vanner also went by Dr Vanner and also claimed to have lots of property was a self-made millionaire, once was colonel in the Army, worked for the CIA and could easily disappear

• (September) – California, East Richmond Heights - Missing persons’ report filed for Eunsoon Jun
Eusoon Jun found in the basement of her home buried under 250 lbs. of cat litter TR was finger printed and found to be Curtis Mayo Kimball.
• (November)- California, East Richmond Heights – Arrested for the homicide of Eusoon Jun While being interviewed TR was provided a phone he called a therapist in Eugene, Oregon. LE watched the number TR dialed and later contacted the therapist due to patient confidentiality the therapist was able to release any information to LE. However, a description was provided to the therapist when asked if this was a patient the therapist said no.

Maybe you can use this in the quote i'ts a 1971 directory that has a listing for a Terry Rasmussen as a Shoe Repairman living in Redwood City. It's a 1971 San Manteo directory listing. I can't confirm if it's him seems very possible though.

This may be a silly question (that perhaps multiple people have already raised), but could "Elizabeth" be the woman from the A4? Curious if that could be the legitimate first name or an alias by TR, since he sometimes changed the names of the women he had been travelling with, post-murder, but sometimes didn't (eg Donna Jenson vs Denise La Port, in reference to Denise Beaudin).

Since Elizabeth is the name that she used when signing for the letter, I think it's likely the name she was using. But it could have been an alias.
 
I assume all missing women (around 60 yrs old), with the first name of Elizabeth, Liz, or Betty have been checked out (in the US and Canada), also those with the middle name of Elizabeth, Liz, or Betty. Also, I assume the A4 have been put thru modern DNA tests to see if additional info could be discovered.

Oh, they will! (my wishfull thinking :). )

But on serious note, they know this case has huge following so hopefully they will release at least some crumbs to us. If it is solved, I would definitely expect press conference with whatever info they would want to release to us and we all would be very greateful.

Body found in Tennessee in 1985 identified as 17-year-old Elizabeth Lamotte from Manchester, NH

The remains of a homicide victim found in Tennessee 33 years ago have been identified as a missing teenager from New Hampshire, and police investigated a possible connection to suspected serial killer Terry Peder Rasmussen, also known as Bob Evans.

According to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, 17-year-old Elizabeth “Liz” Lamotte went missing on Nov. 22, 1984, when she left the Youth Development Center on a furlough to Gill Stadium and never returned.

Her case was discharged from YDC on July 27, 1985, on what would have been her 18th birthday, even though she had still not returned to the facility.

The partially decomposed body of a young female was found on April 14, 1985, along Interstate 81 in Greene County, Tennessee, officials said.

"That would have been about six months after (Lamotte) was last seen in Manchester, New Hampshire, so I'm sure the family has had questions all these years about what they could've done, what could be done to help find her, and now they know it wasn't long after she went missing that she was killed," Senior Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell said.

Investigators said the death was ruled a homicide and that an autopsy revealed that she died of blunt force trauma to the head about two to three weeks before her body was discovered.

Tennessee officials were unable to determine the identity of the victim, and she was listed as a Jane Doe.

Investigators submitted a sample of the victim's remains to the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification in 2006, allowing the center to develop a DNA profile for the victim, which was entered into the Combined DNA Index System.

On Tuesday, investigators confirmed that Lamotte was a match to the homicide victim’s DNA profile

Lamotte was not reported as missing to Manchester police until 2017, after a January 2017 press conference held by the Attorney General's Office, the New Hampshire State Police Cold Case Unit and the Manchester Police Department regarding the Allenstown unidentified persons cases.

The victims of the RMSK were either strangled or died from some form of asphyxiation in which EL did not it was blunt force trauma to the head. All thou I do find it interesting a few of RMSK victims had recently miscarried that is another common factor along with the color of hair and bodies were found along interstate highways.

Is EL the EE from the Hayward address IMO "No" the occurrences of EE as of what we know today occured between 80-81 at that time EL would have been a young child early teen. She have know TPR back in the late 70's to early 80's when she was a child possibly knowing the A4 kids .. Who knows that is a wide and broad thought there.

Could it have been TPR as that his standard MO for his victims is blunt force trauma and dismemberment.

We know that TPR was employed in Los Alamitos , CA between March 1984 - May 1985 (End date approximate) and that his last legal record occurred on May 27th 1985 (DUI) in Cypress, CA. TPR would have had to leave CA some time in the month of March - April as that EL's body was found April 14, 1985 and had been their for several weeks. And if TPR was traveling between NH and CA he mostly likely would of traveled a different route than on I-81. That it also just assuming he was traveling between these 2 points

These are all possibilities I'm sure we will know in due time what happened to EL.

IMO their is someone else out there that murdered EL other than RMKS or TPR.

That theory is identical of other member who posted the same thought in other thread yesterday, of Elizabeth L. Due to known Terry's timeline I respectfully disagree. I mean he held job for over a year in California at that time (quite a record for him). Most of all, lets not forget there is absolutely zero knowledge that he ever met Elizabeth Lamotte in NH or anywhere else in US.

My apologizes Alka for the confusion.. let me clarify a bit here and I could use a cup of java myself I may have already had too much when I posted .. LOL And I probably should change the abbreviation on the Readhead Murderer to RHSK.

  • NO - I do not believe TPR (Terry Peder Rasmussen) nor the RHSK (Redhead Serial Killer) were responsible for the death of EL (Elizabeth Lamotte)
Actually was providing what similarities within the cases and what many people are/were thinking and reason as to why I did not believe either of the (2) SK's committed the crime.

One line that was in there that I should have taken out or clarified a bit better. TPR's calling card of death was dismemberment and blunt force trauma in which, blunt force trauma was the cause of death for EL. However based on his location and alternate paths that would make more sense than route I-81 it would be most unlikely it was TPR. It was also most unlikely that it was RHSK as her/his calling card of death was strangulation or a form of asphyxiation in which was not the cause of EL's death.

If you read the last sentence in my post

IMO their is someone else out there that murdered EL other than RHSK or TPR

I will try to be a little more clearer future wise

Terry Rasmussen's methods in the five murders in which he is probably the culprit involve hiding the bodies in barrels or under cat litter, not dumping them along a highway. And who knows, he has weekends off from work, he can continue his mayhem during the weekends, maybe not traveling to Tennessee, but a 500 mile trip away from his job is a possibility. And not being able to find Denise Beaudin's body means he probably hid it also.
