AMBER ALERT NJ - Dulce Mariá Alavez, 5, abducted at Bridgeton City Park, Cumberland County, 16 Sept 2019 #4

I would hazard a guess, due to the FBI being involved and the national attention to this case that Homeland Security and the Border Patrol teams are in the BOLO so that Dulce is not spirited on a plane, on a ship in port or over the border (North or South), at least through legal portals. Any active surveillance of known child pornographers, websites, pedophiles and human trafficking groups most likely has also been stepped up. It is indeed a wide net they cast. As I have noted before, the FBI knows a LOT more than we do, and when they go silent or nearly so, along with LE, something is up. We need to keep in clearly in mind that until such time as any family member is officially listed as a POI, it's hands off. We are all family and victim friendly. Nothing mires down a case here than rampant speculation on non-merit or unrelated information and FB style gossip. "otto" and a few others have contributed maps, timelines and other useful information to sleuth what "may" have occurred. How many scenarios do we have at this point? "When you have excluded the impossible whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” Put on your tweed deer stalker caps and investigate! We are missing something that is right in front of our faces...and that is normal about 60% of the time. What is it? City worker? Contractor? BB Player? Any cameras around the Washington street bridge or the ice cream shop? Anyone put boots on the ground and take pictures, or are we still flying blind?

Thanks again for the local perspective.

I did see that the locals were out searching in the beginning. This is such a baffling case though and it is hard to know where to search. Sadly, if they are going to continue searching around that park, it needs to be with cadaver dog teams. :(

If she was taken by the red van, she could be absolutely anywhere by now. How do you search?
Yes, exactly. If she were taken by van or car, she could be anywhere, so searching the park won't accomplish anything. But police don't seem at all sure that the red van description story is accurate, so who knows. The thing is, with security videos all over the place, if there were a red van, why isn't it on video coming and going?

I don't know, but you would think the community would come together to help the family find Dulce. They could help to hand out flyers, put up posters, or even organize searches.

When Jayme Closs was abducted they had 2000 volunteers searching for her.

IMO
But didn't find her. Of course you have to try, but Jayme saved herself by running away. Police also had no correct leads whatsoever at that case, and I don't think she would have been found if she didn't run away. Unfortunately most of the stories where kidnapped (by strangers) children survived, they were quite a bit older than five. Or police had good leads and found them early on.

MOO The red van was a convenience used so they could issue an Amber Alert, I think. LE has never placed the van inside the park, let alone, behind the buildings or at least reported it out that way.
Apparently LE has someone who was close enough to the perp to describe acne on his face but has never released a composite sketch of the perp. Why?
They called it acne from the first so the witness must be at least a teenager because a 3yo has no idea what acne is.

Incidentally, the school colors for the high school are maroon and white.
I wonder if the acne is actually meth sores.
MOO

I'm not positive there are security cameras all over the place. Most of the main road (Mayor Aiken Drive) that cuts though the park north and south is wooded.

Google Maps

Basically 3 ways to exit from the area behind the buildings near the playground, IMO if that's where the vehicle was parked. Seems the most likely place.

1) Burt St - Red SUV seen on camera there, so likely not taken.

2) Babe Ruth Drive to Scholastic Drive - passes back of high school, so high
likelihood of cameras. Again, not a good choice.

3) Babe Ruth Drive to Mayor Aiken Drive - north bound on MA Drive is all
woods ands passes the zoo and then Sunset Lake area. Probably cameras at
the zoo to protect the animals, but do they face the main road? Left on Park
shows still wooded areas.

Not totally impossible for a vehicle to leave the area without showing up on surveillance video. And there are lots of back ways, neighborhood streets to cut through to get to a main way out - route 49 (E-W) or route 77 N-S), to name a couple.

How are skinny jeans suggestive? I am sorry but clothes don't sexualize children, preverted minds do.

There wasn't anything unusual about Dulce's outfit. I'm not sure why people are even discussing this? It doesn't seem victim friendly, specific to this case, or in general. It's a personal preference. If certain clothing choices make you uncomfortable, don't wear them, or buy them for people in your life.

If someone has a perverted interest in children, they likely have that interest regardless of what the kids are wearing.

Dulce shoes seem like a strange choice of shoes for the park. They appear to have a chunky heel. IMO could be dangerous for a 5 year old to be running/playing on the playground in those shoes. Not implying anything just something I find odd....JMO Who knows I guess they could be her favorite shoes and she insisted on wearing them. I wear heels often but if I tried to run i’m sure I wouldn’t make it far without falling or twisting my ankle. JMO

Not sure they have that much of a heel,it kind of looks like she is standing on a white fleck on the floor that makes it look bigger than it is?

Ok, lets try this. Have there been any other single or multiple attempted abductions of children as far North as NY, South as far as VA and West as far as Ohio that have a reported actor that matches the age and description of our "suspect"? A group of like events are called a statistical anomaly. We should be looking for these that meet our current criteria. If there are none, this may be a single actor who as some folks say, has a cooling off period between events, or this was a purpose based abduction with Dulce as the main target for reasons yet to be known.

C'mon folks.... What does her shoes, what cloths she has on, if they are "sexy" or not, her social economic status or anything about her parents and family have to do with investigating this case? At this point, our scenario is that some twisted sick individual abducted an innocent child. <modsnip>

How do they know it was acne, not pock marks from drug use? Are they just calling it acne? The 3yr old is apparently non verbal as yet...

An unleashed dog on the playground, or in the hands of a 5 year old, is also a problem. A leashed dog with an adult should not be a problem for anyone.

Unsure about that as where I am, a city official advised us we could not have our 10lb puppy on the playground while I was supervising my kids, and he was leashed at the time. I was told even if I muzzled him, he'd have to be at minimum 100ft from the playground area, which would place him in my car because there was literally nowhere I could leave him safely, and I wasn't willing to sit in the car and watch the kids from that distance.

I have no idea and I 100% agree with you.

So there IS an online tool we can actually use to search for that very information.....
Murder Accountability Project: Search Cases

EDITED TO ADD:
not sure this covers attempted abductions but we might consider using it anyhow... just to see what pops up if anything

At first I read a lot into the decision to not bring the dog that day as well - thinking it was a conscious decision for reasons we can’t get into here.. but then after seeing her car and hearing about the size of the dog - I simply don’t think the dog would have fit in the car with the three children - especially if one or both of the youngers were in bulky car seats?

Ehhh... my 100lb dog never had trouble fitting in the backseat with car seats, he'd just lay on the floor, or sit up front with me....

new around here and not sure if this has been mentioned at all yet (there is a lot of material to cover on these threads!), but I am in the Philly suburbs, about an hour drive from Bridgeton... in the past several days, there have been several attempted/alleged child lurings in our area (5 incidents as of this morning - 5th Child Luring Incident Reported In Delaware County) and I also saw that there were two reported incidents in Princeton, NJ as well in the past week or so.

Not sure if that is significant at all (does this happen all the time and I'm just hyper-aware right now?!... it most certainly is significant/unusual news around here in my neighborhood... is this even close enough to Bridgeton to make it significant? I have no idea but wanted to throw it out there to all you sleuths anyway!)... seems like every incident involves a different person/vehicle make/model...
