A while ago, I noticed that Polyakov Iuriy Anatolyevich (who is also sometimes listed as Yuri Anatolyevich Polyakov on another missing persons website (that I am unable to load and receiving an error message when I try to access it) has black hair and brown eyes, is about 6' tall, and is said to have --

Also, when I was looking through a Croatian missing persons website a while back, I thought the unidentified man from Las Vegas looked a lot like Stjepan Vukojević (a Croatian citizen last seen in Amsterdam in 1995).

What does anyone think about Frank Robert Mazzella? http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/53dmri.html

His height and weight are a little off but not terribly, he could have gained a little weight between February and June. Age is within range. The decedent's hairline is a little different but his face looks a little odd in the picture and I'm not sure if that's what is throwing me off.

There's a lot I like about this possibility.

The decedent's hairline is beginning to recede; Mazella's hair puffs forward in a way that would obscure that. Also, we don't know how long before he disappeared that picture was taken.

I flipped Mazzella's photo so it's facing the same way and put it next to the decedent. They still don't like up exactly but it looks like there's quite a strong resemblance. (click to enlarge, if necessary.)

It appears that Mazzella doesn't have DNA in the system, so it might not have been picked up automatically. But they both have dentals so it should be easy to rule him in or out.

Thank you for work! You are welcome to email me with any possible matches you many have to any of our Does. I have looked over our case. Our gentleman ( John “El Rancho” Doe CCOCME # 99-3276) has some scars to his ankles and a pretty predominant mole on near his nose on the left side. And I think the shape of Frank Mazzella (MP# 99) head is different from our gentlemen.

If you find any possible leads in NamUs, please just include the MP# (missing person number) and our UP# (unidentified person number).

Hello,

I'm bumping this thread because I've recently submitted a possible match - through DoeNetwork - for this unidentified male. The missing person's name is Charles Terrance Heese. A man from Missouri who was last seen 9 days before the John Doe was found in Las Vegas. About everything matches, except for the scars. Unfortunately, the most recent photograph we have of Mr. Heese dates back to 1973. His vehicle was later found in a cul-de-sac in Albuquerque, which could possibly mean he took a bus to Vegas.
