Deputies are going house to house in Dannemora, trying to account for all residents.
This must be a monumental task, people are at work, shopping etc.

That is quite interesting, the letter, the handwriting, probably is the one who wrote the sticky note.

I keep checking the local TV Channels or CNN, hoping they say they caught them.

Still think that someone met them, gave them a ride out of here, long gone, long before they were noticed missing.

Someone "source" is talking when they should not be giving out information, hope they find out who that is and stop them, there is so much nonsense being posted on Facebook.

I have a feeling that they may have somehow made it over the border into Quebec on that first night/early morning. Whether they did it through a crossing with fake passports or through compromising an unmanned crossing I have no idea though they did have tools with them. But the border is RIGHT THERE it is walk /runnable from the prison. I would hope that there is a way to tell after the fact if the border was compromised. The fact that authorities haven't ruled it out completely concerns me. There are no alerts out in Quebec and no news coverage either. Most people are unaware. Even a police officer I spoke to yesterday was not even aware an escape had taken place :0. It's a different world entirely here and it's only 15 minutes away from the prison. Crazy.

Definitely would say Sweat has the same handwriting and wrote the "Have a nice day" note, good research Originally Posted by kimi_SFC . :)

Two witnesses reported seeing two men in the back yard of a house just after midnight Friday, including one who was carrying a guitar case. The men were discovered missing from their cells at 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

http://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Saw-hammer-aided-inmates-escape-6315706.php

The FBI is assisting in the search, and a law enforcement source said authorities believe the men, with their escape plan altered, could still be within a five- or 10-mile radius of the prison. The inmates' assignment on the honor block allowed them to wear and keep regular clothing other than their prison uniforms. The person briefed on the case said the green prison uniforms were found left behind.

Hey, Wardens, LE, FBI, whoever, they are convicted murderers they do not deserve to have privileges. Why are prisoners allowed to wear street clothes? What in the heck has happened in our penal system?
Remove all guitar cases and all other things that can be used to conceal. jmo idk To hell in a hand basket we go.

bbm, It would appear that they had a 5 hour start before they were noticed missing. I am not sure were the backyard is that they were seen in or how far it is from were they came up from the manhole cover. jmo idk

5 hour head start.

It is 20 miles to the Canadian Border, walkable perhaps, runnable, not sure. But driving it could be done quickly in the middle of the night.

CNN and MSNBC (perhaps Fox News, don't watch it ever) are covering this constantly.
Even my brother in Florida knows all about it.

Per CNN a presser 3 p.m. EST today

With a fire under their butt a run/walk to the border could be done in less than an hour and a half. With a car they could be there in 15 minutes.

French Quebecer's don't listen to CNN or Fox. They don't even get those stations at all for the most part. There was a little blurb on TVA nouvelles and le Reseau des Informations as well as an article in the Journal de Montreal with no pictures of the escapees. I sometimes think I am one of a dozen Quebecers who is even aware this occurred. I heard someone say yesterday that one of the escapees is black and the other is Latino ( what Quebecers apparently think Americans look like) so sadly no there is virtually no awareness here at all and no concern at all. The big story in Quebec the past few days has been the death and funeral of Jacques Parizeau. Has CNN or Fox covered that ? Different world, different language, and different mentality.

Wow, really unbelievable from a public safety standpoint!

Outside Clinton Correctional, workers prepare for #PrisonBreakNY press conference with @NYGovCuomo & @GovPeterShumlin

I wonder what Shumlin ' s part will be. There is an FBI or DEA helicopter flying around Middlebury VT right now. I don't know if it's related, it's also very probable they are looking for grow operations or doing training. They use the Middlebury airport for that a lot.

Saw these two stories, don’t know if they’ve been disputed...

http://goo.gl/tUqDVH

http://nypost.com/2015/06/09/cops-closing-in-on-escaped-killers/

Dogs DID pick up the inmates’ scent in Willsboro?

The men appeared to be wearing black backpacks?

The men broke into a house and stole a gun?

Police found a potential lead at a nearby vegetable stand?

Possibility that the fugitives had hopped a train?

"By evening, many of the officers were pulling out of the heavily wooded area that had been targeted during the day — and a law enforcement source denied that dogs had picked up a scent. By early Wednesday, reports said there were no signs of the killers, but there was still an increased police presence in the area."

From La Presse which is Quebec's largest Daily :
La Police provinciale de l'Ontario a transmis une alerte interne à ses agents, mais la Sûreté du Québec (SQ) n'a reçu aucune instruction spéciale concernant l'évasion des deux meurtriers.

Un porte-parole de la SQ, le sergent Ronald McInnis, a indiqué que la police provinciale pourrait agir si elle reçoit une demande d'assistance de la GRC ou de l'ASFC.

Translated to " While an alert was issued internally to Ontario Provincial Police, the Surete du Quebec ( our provincial police force who patrol highways etc..) have received no special instructions, no alerts, no advisement on the escapees. A spokesman for the Surete Ronald McInnis ( who is a francophone despite his name) has indicated that if and when they receive a call for assistance from the RCMP or Border Patrol they will respond.
BTW the title of the article is "Two escaped murderers possibly in Canada". SMH
