OH OH - Chillicothe/Middletown Missing/Murdered, Possible Serial Killer

I'm trying to create a map of where everyone was last seen (I know people have made that one alone) along with where they were found, if already found. I'm curious to see how close Shasta's body was found in relation to Tameka and Tiffany. BUT google maps is being a PITA!

The killer seems to be active in Apr/May and Nov/Dec. Are there any annual events such as carnivals, festivals (music, art, etc.) car shows, sporting events that occur in the area during these times of the year? The killer could be someone who follows a 'circuit' like a carnival worker, food truck operator, artisan since the disappearance dates seem to follow a pattern. Someone who travels and needs to aquire drugs, whether for personal use or to lure vulnerable women with drug addictions, would have a connection in every town, IMO. LE needs to up their night patrol in the areas where these women went missing.
If his next victim is not until NOv/Dec I will be really creeped out!

I do know that the American Quarter Horse Congress horse show is held in Columbus during the month of October. The Pumpkin Festival is held in Circleville during the middle of October.

When you go south of Chillicothe, you're entering the hills of southern Ohio. A lot of folks take a scenic drive to see the fall colors in the hills of southern Ohio during October.

Ok here's what I came up with.

I'm basing this off information I've been seeing in MSM, basing it off McCrary's last known address and where Timberly's body was found.

From Cave Rd/Rocky Fork (where Tiffany and Tameka were found) to Massieville, straight down rt 50 and takes 35 minutes.
From Cave Rd/Rocky Fork to downtown Chillicothe- 30 minutes

Cave Rd to 3 Locks/Higby Rd (Around where Shasta's car was found, near where her body was found)- 1 hour

3 Locks/Higby to Massieville- 17 minutes, ONE ROAD. (Massieville Rd)
3 Locks/Higby to Chillicothe- 20 minutes.

I found another victim from Scioto County who appear to have some similarities with the other women from the Chillicothe area that are missing or murdered.

The victim’s name is Jennifer Sue Shepherd, 34, of Franklin Furnace, Scioto County, Ohio. She was the mother of three children.

Jennifer Sue Shepherd was last seen on the evening of Saturday June 15, 2013 in Portsmouth in the area of Murrays Pub and the Fast Stop Convenience Store.

Her body was found floating in Pine Creek, off the Ohio River at Wheelersburg on the afternoon of Monday June 17, 2013. It was thought that her body floated into Pine Creek due to the high water on the Ohio River.

According to Scioto County law enforcement authorities, the victim had previous arrests for prostitution. It was never revealed how Jennifer Sue Shepherd was murdered.

This occurred two months after the April 2013 disappearance of Megan Nicole Lancaster. Megan Nicole Lancaster was from Wheelersburg, Ohio and she also disappeared from Portsmouth, Ohio.

Hey there, I'm new to Websleuths, but I just started tracking this case and this is some great information. I really appreciate your sharing it!

:scared: More than one? http://abcnews.go.com/US/fbi-now-helping-search-killer-string-murders-ohio/story?id=32006473

“I felt that after the first three women went missing a year ago, it had to be someone they all know and trust to even go with them, and it has to be more than one person -- my daughter was not a small person,” Angela Robinson, Lynch's mother, told ABC News.

I remember reading this, too, but I have a hard time believing it's more than one person. I feel like the more people involved, the more risk of getting caught. Of course, I should clarify, I have a hard time believing it's more than one person working together. There's always the possibility of someone taking advantage of the situation or copy-catting.

I just happen to recall that there are three other women from Kentucky that disappeared in 2009 along U.S. Route 23. Two women disappeared from Pike County, Kentucky and one woman disappeared from Boyd County, Kentucky.

The first woman to disappear was 24 year old Crystal Branham Hall from Pikeville, Kentucky on March 1, 2009. Crystal Branham Hall is a mother who had children.

Pikeville is on U.S. Route 23 in Pike County, Kentucky and isn’t far from the Virginia and West Virginia borders.

The second woman to disappear was 33 year old Nancy Ann Lockard of Turkey Creek, Pike County, Kentucky on June 24, 2009. Nancy Ann Lockard is a mother who had children.

Turkey Creek is near Belfry, Kentucky and Belfry is a small town along the Kentucky-West Virginia border and about 20 miles northeast of Pikeville and U.S. Route 23.

The third woman to disappear was 25 year old Janet Jolene Stephens Brown of Ashland, Kentucky on October 14, 2009.

Ashland is on U.S. Route 23 in Boyd County, Kentucky and is near the Ohio and West Virginia borders.

The timing is just a little off, but that follows really closely to the Apr/May and Nov/Dec time frames.

If McCrary is responsible for these other missing women he had to have some help. He hasn't even had a car, he borrowed one from his recent girlfriend the night Timberly was murdered. I'm not convinced he's involved in the other cases though JMO.

Has anyone considered a woman could be responsible/involved?

Doesn't look like too bad of a trip from Columbus to Daytona Beach. Could very well have been a truck route.

I read in one of the articles that one of the OH victims, I think Wanda Lemons or it could have been Tameka Lynch, talked about travelling to Texas with the help of a truck driver. This was one of my first theories as most of the bodies were found south of Chillicothe, like the killer was on his way to or from something.

I find it interesting that all of the OH victims were also mothers. Even the youngest, the one thought to have committed suicide, was pregnant. I don't know if that's part of this guys reasons behind the crimes, but it's very interesting. Also, all the OH victims were ones that unfortunately and sadly a part of a lifestyle where it was not unusual for them to be gone for long periods of time without hearing from them. So no one to raise the alarm too quickly. No one to rush this guy.

Lastly, I think it's pretty ballsy to choose victims that are so closely connected. Four words: six degrees of separation.

So just for clarity sake, the commonalities seem to be:

Occupation
Drug habit
Most were Moms trying to clean up (?)
Ages are fairly close
Area (Chillicothe)
Location of bodies that have been found.
Most knew one another.

Does that seem accurate for the six we were discussing originally?

TIA

I remember when Paige Johnson and Katelynn Markham and a few other girls from the tristate area went missing a PI stated he thought it was the work of a serial killer that was part of a construction crew working along the interstates and abducting young, petite blonde women.

May 3rd- Charlotte Trego and Temeka Lynch Both Disappear

Charlotte Trego-Missing
Tameka Lynch-Found Deceased
Wanda Lemons--Found Deceased
Shasta Himelrick-Found Deceased (I don't think this was suicide)
Tiffany Sayers-Found Deceased

All had some connection/knew each other. Is it possible C Trego was somehow coerced or forced into being the nexus of this?

It would be pretty interesting if a serial killer did murder Shasta Himelrick and made it look like a suicide. If that's the case then he is most linked with her then any of the other girls imo

Six women go missing from a small town and other women have gone missing in neighboring in towns. It is easy to jump to the conclusion that a serial killer is operating. It may not be that simple.

Timberly Clayborn was found in a vacant house on May 29 20!15. She was shot three times in the head. It is believed she died the night before . Jason McCrary was arrested the same day when hi s vehicle,

PI=Bill Warner Very plausible theory considering the number of girls is growing, which means KY girls have to be tied

Has anyone considered a woman could be responsible/involved?

...interesting... any particular reason? or person? I had a quick thought about that the other day, tied to one of the girls. But since she isn't named by msm, i think we can't sleuth her. Maybe that girl was owed $$ by the vic, and another girl as well, or another girl figured it out. Maybe it's tandem, a woman and her bf settling some debts....just a random thought--unlikely, but never know

Good morning everyone.

I don't think I can post links from topix (can I talk about it? Mods? Delete if you need to) but there is a LOT of chatter today about the missing girls and some "conspiracy theories" that I wanted to mention. Now this girl I'm about to mention has already been in MSM as one of the missing girls but she was found alive.

Bethany Copas went missing the same month as Charlotte and Tameka but was found about a week later, disoriented and claims she doesn't remember much.

***NONE OF THIS IS PROVEN- ALL SPECULATION HERE

There are rumors circulating that I'm not sure I can share on here. (modsnip)

Right now I'm checking a few things out on my own. Chillicothe is a very industrial city, meaning there's a LOT of truck traffic. There are several plants in the area. I'm going to make an attempt to find out if there's any company that makes regular shipments to Chillicothe's plants. It could be something that requires replenishment every 6 months, which would match our dates. OR if there are any construction projects that would require someone to work a few months in Chilli and a few months elsewhere.

Thoughts?

MORE RUMORS FROM TOPIX ***NOT PROVEN YET***

Several posters over on topix said on the 11pm news last night (channel 10 in Chillicothe) reported some skeletal remains were found and they're testing it to see if it's human or animal. It was a ribcage. But they're wondering if the news station got in trouble for reporting it because no other word was said about it and it's not found on any of the sites anymore. But a bunch of people said they saw the story on the air. They're talking to the families on Monday, so I wonder if that's good or bad.

Again, this is all a RUMOR! Don't wanna get in trouble for spreading lies if they're not true!

I know topix isn't always the best but I never post there. I only follow the Chillicothe forums because a LOT of people who post there personally knew the victims and have some pretty good info. I know I can't link it because it's not MSM.
