Missing woman still a 'top priority'
More than two months after 22-year-old Katelyn Markham was reported missing, there is still little to indicate what led to her disappearance.
The Fairfield Police Department has consulted the FBI, which has reviewed the case and provided information for the department to follow up on, but few leads have been determined.

Search for missing woman continues
A group of complete strangers is spending their own time and money to find Katelyn Markham, the 22-year-old from Fairfield, who has already been missing for three months.
For the past three months, answers have been few and far between when it comes to Markham's disappearance, which makes an independently formed search crew more determined to find the missing Fairfield woman.
"It could be your child. Every time I see Dave Markham, (when) I see his face, I think of my children. He needs us out there," said resident Donna Metz.

It's a baffling disappearance that at first frightened, and now frustrates, people in a northern Cincinnati suburb of some 43,000 people that is dotted with subdivisions and a "Village Green" center. Violent crime is rare here — the last murder was in 2008.

Six month anniversary of Katelyn Karkham's disappearance
Six months ago Katelyn Markham disappeared from her Fairfield town home and there are still no major breaks in the case.
"The conversations that John and I have is that there is hope she is somewhere," said Karen Winkler, mother of John Carter, Katelyn's fiance. "Sometimes I say it's a fantasy world but I think she is going to come home safe."

Markham disappearance investigation continues
Police haven’t given up on Katelyn Markham.
Two detectives are working on the case, starting from the beginning and sorting through all information collected in their investigation of Markham’s disappearance, Lt. Kevin Haddix said Tuesday.
The 22-year-old graphic arts student college vanished from her Dorshire Drive condominium Aug. 13, leaving her purse and car behind. Markham was last seen by her fiance, John Carter.

FBI Profilers Review Missing Persons Case of Katelyn Markham
Fairfield police today confirmed that they are now using clues and recommendations of FBI profilers to try and find a woman missing since last August. 22-year old Katelyn Markham disappeared from her condo in that city-and her disappearance is a true mystery.
The art student with many dreams was about to graduate when she vanished. It's the kind of curious and incomprehensible case that the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit takes on. Local 12 News Reporter Deborah Dixon has more.
